The 50k "covid insurance" is same for non O and O-A. Your thinking of the additional insurance requirement for non O-A. -

COVID extension documents

For first extension this is common. If you obtain another covid extension in future it should date from end of you permission of stay. The under consideration period is common. -

Reports from CW that immigration officer being bombastic and treating people rudely. Along with request to show outbound flight. Try and ignore that rubbish. Misery loves company. You need to go to immigration Friday or Monday. I'm not aware of CW being open this Saturday. Good luck. -
Im one of the folk that thought this thread was what we call click bait. Meaning a made up story. This will sound harsh but just one person's opinion. Your wife will return to Thailand. That's a given. If you had money and a job etc she might have even agreed to leaving son with you. Thinking better future for son. That won't happen given your situation. You will end up going to Thailand also with wife approval and encouragement. You have a million baht. With a farmhouse that money will last much longer than it would for most. When that's gone you will be cut. Sadly if that occurs you will have no petrol in the tank. No government support here in Thailand such as medical etc. Then in few years you will post that your on overstay and can't get back to Sweden.

Returning from the UK options
DrJack54 replied to Joejoejoejoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Up to you where you obtain the Non O marriage. Can do in UK or obtain a non O in Thailand after return via visa exempt entry. Personally I would enter visa exempt and obtain the Non O in Thailand. After that obtain 12 month extension based on marriage. -

You joining some pretty far apart dots there. My guess is that your particular condo has not been filing TM30 for non Thai customers. -

Many people with reentry permits (with several months validity) have been entering thailand with 30 day policy. -

METV extension questions
DrJack54 replied to Requiem's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
For each entry you are given 60 day permission of stay. Prior to that expiry you can obtain a 30 day extension. 1900baht. If you exit Thailand you will need to satisfy the current entry requirements. These are fluid and it appears test and go is being reintroduced. You can just turn up for extension or make appointment. Some basic photocopies are required. Here is link for appointment. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/#serviceonline -

When does test and go start again
DrJack54 replied to neytil's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Article from Thaiger states Feb 1. "The Thailand Pass Test & Go program has been rebooted, and vaccinated travellers will be able to register for (almost) quarantine-free entry to Thailand re-starting February 1." Quoted from Thaiger news. -

What bit dont you get. I live here on retirement extensions. Never had any clerks to my home. My extensions at CW are over in very short time once per year. My reports are via mail. This thread was about a home visit. Not laws of the land such as road laws. They are in every country. Thread not about that. About goons doing home visit. I don't have any. -

You have a choice. Select what suits you.. -
What? I already suggested he should obtain Oz pp and enter Thailand on that. She will also exit Thailand with that pp. She currently does not even have a Thai pp. She can obtain one when she is in Thailand.

Ask yourself one question. If the financials were the same for marriage and retirement. Which would you obtain your extensions on. Retirement or Marriage. Your accepting home visit because ......less inconvenient money wise. I don't need to accommodate any clerk wishing to visit my home. -
