Cold or Flu, when that is done, mucus drops from sinus cavities into your lungs. And your body has difficulty fighting it off. I would suggest vaccinations. However in todays day and age doing that might upset our antivaxxer posters. You don't want a surly mob of them formed up. It could get ugly. Still Prevnar or PPSV23 might be an option. Up2U, as always.

HBO’s Bold Defense of J.K. Rowling Signals the Waning of Woke Culture
Dcheech replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I would say that is exactly what the right wing does with woke culture. They are on a crusade to save us from woke culture whatever that is .... or whatever they determine it to be today. There is no real definition it is just whatever current "outrage" they can find & say its woke, to get people riled up. FOX is good at it, but this is from The Daily Telegraph, serious blowhards. And we get an AI version to boot. -
Gop Speaker places a ban in the Capitol restrooms…

That can't be good for Lindsay Graham & staff. -
They should be blamed for Putin invading the Ukraine? I don't think much of JrBush but they have nothing to do with the Ukraine. And the Neocons, those MAGA bull snort bogeymen, they went back to their conservative think tanks/NGO's where they were spawned, decades back, when Iraq went tlts up. The only good thing is Putin has gutting both the Russian economy & manpower by this invasion. Now that Trump will let him win what he could not on the battlefield. Commie lovers do, what commie lovers got to do.

Methanol Cocktails Leave Two Australian Women Critically ill in Thailand
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Exactly So many of these articles do not explain, or erroneously explain, what is going on. Bootlegging, distilling liquor which is then sold to tourists. A highly lucrative business. However if you do not know what you are doing, or don't care. Death happens. Methanol is not added, it is a byproduct of distilling and must be discarded in the distilling process. That is what reputable distilleries do, and why there are government regulations. That is what bootleggers might not do because its just more liquid and more money so why not. And who cares if a person dies. Great facebook site - A drink to die from Mainly concerned with Indonesia, but has information on the region. -
Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Made copies for my records. Thanks. -
A tepid response, as likely you know the answer. It has not changed in the last ten years. Big Pharma just like the Military industrial complex as people like to call it, gives more money to Republicans than Democrats both historically and in the last ten years. I have to hand it to the Republican right wingers. They understand in todays new media world, all you have to do is yell it loud and keep chanting it, with FOX media as a backup, people assume it is real. That is another affect of the Internet and crushing of older news sources. For many people there is no way they can easily vet what they are getting and so it becomes 'true' by default. Just living a lie, and what fun, until something bad comes there way.

Thailand's Expats Urged to Register with TRD for Tax, Says Expert
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Where do you get these figures, specifically why one would file if over these amounts. Even if with deductions Thailand has, one would pay no tax. Thanks -
Big Pharma gives money to both parties. They juice both democrats and republicans, That said they have always given more money to Republicans. FACT. Republicans in tune have helped them more than the Dems ever have . Exactly the same with military industries. They have always given more money to Republicans than dems. NOTE - both Musk and Trump recently shilling for Boeing, blaming problems on DEI. Boeing has been digging there own grave for 22 years before DEI existed. 'Taken over by the left' is pure fake news spew so popular with MAGA. Shout it loud and constantly, drown out any discussion, that's the right wings game plan for decades now.

Now starting: Chiang Mai Expats Dining Group
Dcheech replied to Old Curmudgeon's topic in Chiang Mai
For good reason. As It has been said; 'The English like to be surrounded by themselves, they are clubbable people.' Count me out. -
China could care less about living there. However they do maintain a massive fishing fleet working all year long offshore on the rich Humboldt current. Two hundred boats or more swarm the waters off the Galapagos to the north, in season. Nothing Ecuador or Peru can do about it. Celestial leader Xi's red envelops to local politicians help smooth it a bit. They might have a decade before China fishes it out completely. You wonder what the locals will do then.

Thais in Los Angeles Protest Against PM Paetongtarn’s Visit
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Donald is not going to visit, uh how did he say it .... "Thigh-land" . Sounds like a pretty cool joke except he was trying to sound out the word from a teleprompter. He has the functional education level of a 7th grader and BTW couldn't find Thailand on a map. More to the point the Thais in Los Angeles, that chose to protest the Thai PM's visit, are US citizens. They have a layer of protection that Thais in Thailand do not. Now back to FOX fantasy land. -
Discover Thailand’s dreamiest beaches for your next getaway
Dcheech replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Koh Chang White Sand beach, Koh Chang in general, gets more than its fair share of 'sea lice', more exactly baby jellyfish. Three trips, in different seasons, there were days we were swimming in the hotel pool, not the beach. Too many Stingers for an enjoyable salt water swim. -
A Radical Experiment: How Elon Musk Could Shake Up Washington
Dcheech replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Republicans love to yak about that. They did during the Reagan administration. Loved to tout, 'running government like a business'. Reagan had massive government spending, while making tax cuts, that was capped by Black Monday, in 87. Followed by the largest financial disaster & monetary loss until the 2008 Wall Street implosion. Deregulating the Savings & Loans was indeed a "winner". Poor old Bush 1 was left with the mess, the financial recession caused by all this and out in 92. -
Thais in Los Angeles Protest Against PM Paetongtarn’s Visit

Obama was elected to the Illinois senate in 1996. To the US senate in 04. Twelve years isn't a lot but it is a Heck of a lot more than ZERO. -
Definitely fewer help wanted signs when I visited was back last September, than 21 or 22, but still there. Millennials seem to be lazy effers. Given his skill set, or lack of one, basic service industry or Walmart, but geeez, a lot better life than being down & out in Thailand. OTOH Video Vlogger screams feckless too, so. Thailand is a country I would not want to be penniless farang in.

The Dangerous Prospect of RFK Jr.'s Influence on Global Health
Dcheech replied to Social Media's topic in World News
As Pharma, the medical industry & food processing companies give more money to republicans & right wing causes than Dems, or 'leftists', and always have. He wont do diddley except groom the antivaxxer crowd with a few headlines, all for the new guy in office. Like last time Trump regime. They talk about draining the swamp, but that swamp will get huge with two bit carnies & grifters. Give the people, what they want. -
Those B52's in Qatar may be "nuclear capable" but that would be the last thing they would be carrying on country visits. Saying that however gets Newsweek clicks which is likely what they are aiming for. The US could indeed use navy vessels or submarines or b52'a on Diego for nukes, but all that is known and known for decades. BTW, while Newsweek's article may be three quarters BS for clicks, even they do not mention anything about ground troops. No idea why you are mentioning them either, unless you have some super secret information. OTOH, I would expect the new US President to invade the US west coast or Puerto Rico before Iran.
