  1. Already bought. I also need internet access when away from home for the security camera which I wouldn't have if my phone was with me. As above, for when I'm not at home and I have also read it's not good for the phone's longevity to be used constantly as a hotspot.
  2. Coming back to this around 3 months later and it's been running fine as discussed - until recently. Background for those that don't want to reread the thread. I have a dtac SIM on an annual deal for Internet at 15Mbps running on a SIM router and accessed by one phone (sometimes 2), one Firestick for TV and one laptop (light browsing only). Plus one security camera on occasion when I'm away. Maybe 3 or 4 days during the last week it's been painfully slow. I've shrugged it off and lived with it until it perks up again, but yesterday was extremely bad so I contacted dtac. Their reply this morning was : "Since we detected unusual data usage which affected internet efficiency of other users in the same area i.e. high data transfer, Bit Torrent, or Internet tethering/hotspot for commercial purposes, we reserve the right to allocate data speed and usage on order to maintain Internet efficiency for other users" I've asked them to restore full speed and mentioned it's my personal use only and awaiting a response, but has anyone else come across anything similar and how have you addressed it? I have accessed the router interface and there are no other users so not been hijacked.
  3. TSB. My account has options for home, work and mobile numbers. I have work as my Thai mobile number and can select any of the three to receive pass codes.
  4. To see mine I select my profile (top left of home page) and then a green background details button at the top right of the next screen.
  5. You may be able to delay that even more. Phuket immigration have published new rules allowing them to give further extensions to Israeli passport holders on production of some sort of letter from their embasssy. This may be introduced everywhere if you're not going to Phuket so keep an eye on things.
  6. Israel is on the list of Visa Exempt countries, not Visa on Arrival so you'll get 30 days and should be able to show an onward ticket within that period. List of countries: https://image.mfa.go.th/mfa/0/zE6021nSnu/เอกสาร/VOA.pdf
  7. Whether visa exempt or visa on arrival an onward ticket is required, although it's unlikely to be checked at BKK immigration but more likely by your airline when checking in at your point of origin. No onward ticket would mean you'd be refused boarding.
  8. I would suspect some sort of data "leakage" too, even if no data package exists and it's getting used at a standard rate.
  9. Other posters on here have mentioned they are in that position. Don't know if they even tried.
  10. A year old topic, but I have a similar requirement in a few weeks time. Can anyone give an update on Grab availability/ease of use or any other options to get from the airport to Lamai?
  11. Mine was a single entry and has been used.
  12. Had one submitted on a Saturday and approved on a Sunday before so appears to be weekend working on occasions if not all the time, and have had approvals first time after a trip overseas too, as have others I know/post on here.
  13. My mate entered on 27th Sep and was stamped in until 21st December which seems over 90 days to me if that's any help.
  14. The Finnair ones I mentioned were the same - no lounge. However I have Oneworld Sapphire status through Qatar and that got me the lounge and hold baggage for no extra cost. Similar with Emirates Business Special tickets I've booked in the past when I had Emirates Skywards Gold status. Did you have frequent flyer status with the airline? They often block seats next to them (although they release them if the flight gets full) as a perk, so maybe they thought they were doing you a favour at the time.
  15. Lots of discussion in the banks/finance subforum but as above, no-one knows how it'll be implemented.
  16. Most laptops have a built in camera. Those that don't, and desktops, could be equipped with a webcam and the banks would just have to integrate facial recognition into their web interfaces. They do have the choice if they want to exercise it. However I don't think they will as it's easier for them to support one platform rather than two.
  17. As I mentioned I would do in the quotes, I've just repeated the oft mentioned process which should result in the International Transfer annotation with BBL and it worked as expected. Instigated transfer with Wise (Monday 25th about 16:00 Thailand time), selected the long term stay option, paid by bank transfer and it arrived the next day (today, Tuesday 26th) as expected at 14:01. There's no doubt in my mind that the long term stay selection still results in the International Transfer annotation with BBL despite the deniers on here over the years.
  18. I tried to get the mate who has just got one to explain that to me but I still ended up confused. I'll be meeting up with him in the next week or two so will maybe get some clarification then.
  19. That's only an issue if you havent prepared for it by ensuring you have an ongoing "presence" in the UK and an array of bank accounts to use.
  20. I'm not sure where I got the other site from, but I definitely have it filed under "new" application route. Let us know how you get on with the original one.
  21. I've not applied for a while, but I think that's the old site. I've got a note that the new one is: https://dichvucong.bocongan.gov.vn/bocongan/bothutuc/tthc?matt=26277 They're both .gov.vn sites and maybe one leads to the other or maybe they both work, I honestly don't know.
