  1. Do you think the Immigration Officer knows whether you do or don't have a suitcase waiting at baggage claim?
  2. OP is in Jomtien so up to 90 days in advance is possible giving him even more flexibility around his work schedule.
  3. Worked OK as submitted yesterday (Saturday) morning and approval received a few minutes ago on a Sunday evening. This was with a new extension of stay and a trip outside Thailand since my last report. They gave me 90 days from today though, not from when my report was actually due.
  4. Do you misunderstand or misinterpret all the posts you read on here or just some of them? Your replies on many topics appear to miss the point of what's actually happening or being discussed.
  5. Finnair will increase HEL-BKK flights from daily to 11/week for Winter 2023. Have you looked at different days departures from your UK airport? I have the same problem from EDI but there's at least one day a week where the connection is fine IIRC.
  6. Or they would find the root cause and fix it. No need if the problem is not with the phone as appears to be the case here.
  7. If it was down to the phone then it would happen to all users. It doesn't.
  8. No physical krone etc notes change hands with an electronic transaction and the problem is the banks don't want to buy these back as they have to do if someone changes note for Baht or whatever.
  9. Way back in the thread it was claimed that power going down wouldn't affect paying with your phone which was obvious nonsense in many cases. A calculator instead of the till and hard cash would work fine.
  10. Just call them - no need to arrange a call - and be prepared to be on hold for a while.
  11. Looks like Krungsri are (wisely) getting ahead of the game at some branches by getting the photo and passport stuff ready for when their systems are updated. From the other thread linked above there are more actual examples of this. I'm sure your branch will get the memo soon.
  12. Posted a couple of weeks ago. Still 50,000 THB to most banks, 1,499,999 THB to SCB and up to 2,000,000 THB to Kasikorn and BBL. Limits are per transaction. https://aseannow.com/topic/1245789-wise-transfer-limits-to-thailand-effective-7th-january-2022/#comment-18101942
  13. There's another thread from a few days ago saying the TT exchanges in Pattaya weren't taking them. Government blaming the banks and banks blaming the government IIRC.
  14. Working OK for me and told me what was missing when I deliberately skipped something.
  15. I'm not interpreting anything, just reading what others have experienced and reported on here. Look for Pib's photos on this thread regarding BBL. The other poster mentioning his glasses is on there too and it's not the same guy as earlier in this thread. So three people having used their phones for facial verification gives a fair confidence level that's how it works. https://aseannow.com/topic/1293171-krungsri-50k-transfer-photo-requirement/ I'm not sure about your "over and out" statement. Are you dictating your posts on a radio?
  16. Untrue going by other posts on here (probably in the banking section). One poster had trouble with the phone recognising him and put it down to lighting as it worked eventually in another location with better lighting. Another poster couldn't read the intructions on his phone (maybe the same guy as posted on Page 1 in this thread with what sounds like a similar issue).
  17. Find his previous thread for all the info - it's in the IT and Computers section. Please don't make him repeat it all ????.
  18. Not any more. They stopped in March/April this year.
  19. Loading credit to the SIM from the bank account keeps both the SIM and the account active.
  20. That's fine if they're on a printed card, but the ones on the till display won't be functioning without power.
  21. Count me in on that, but it was many years ago and things change.
  22. If you're talking about a UK private pension, it depends on your pension company. There's a poster on here whose pension company won't pay to Wise as they're not a "real" bank.
  23. No. The UK requirement is technical in nature in that it improves the machine readability of the application form. The Thai requirement, although argueably valid in its day, is now outdated as explained above and should be removed, but there's no gain to them for doing it so it'll likely remain.
  24. We're there in parts already, but that doeesn't mean your original statement which I responded to is valid.
  25. Faster Payment System in the UK been around since 2008 and is almost instantaneous. Other countries have similar setups.
