  1. I see the OP has now got a solution, but this on Lazada looks similar to the ones I saw in the UK before the advent of tea bags. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/2pcs-stainless-steel-tea-strainer-small-conical-cone-mesh-strainer-fine-strainer-for-cocktails-coffee-juice-tea-silver-i5009559672-s21168637838.html
  2. The other poster has since said it was over a year ago. The "rule" changed late last year or early this year so he may well have just got in before the change.
  3. It's been like that for a while and was expanded with more gates recently. A couple of posters have stated they returned without issues despite having no exit stamp.
  4. That bill has been prorogued and will not proceed any further. The new government has something else in the offing (DWP Fraud, Error and Debt Bill) but it hasn't had its first reading yet as far as I can tell.
  5. https://onwardticket.com or one of the similar sites offering the same service.
  6. Soi LK Metro. Pic snipped from Streetview.
  7. As mentioned upthread, that Bill has not moved since April and will not be progressed any further.
  8. Anyone who takes on board pension advice from a forum nutter deserves what they get.
  9. Click on the "News" tab on that page and it'll show you progress on it stopped in April this year. That front page shows where it was when it halted.
  10. Yes, and it means you don't have to go to the individual forum as you said. You can do it from the homepage too and the OP seems to have worked it out.
  11. What is the purpose then of this button on the home page?
  12. I noticed these going airside and at the gate on a domestic departure a couple of weeks ago but they weren't then in use. What's the process to use them on international departures?
  13. The article doesn't mention online check-in but only "early check-in" and going by the photo it's referring to the automated check-in (and bag drop) service. It looks like this will be available 24 hours prior to departure, although what benefit that gives, if any, is questionable.
  14. You should never accept the ATM conversion - that's exposing you to DCC as explained upthread. Reject the conversion and you'll get the "correct" exchange rate. You're also comparing credit card with debit card which could be using different processors with different exchange rates (probably not 120 baht different though) and don't mention the ATM fee if the transaction was completed.
  15. Should read 2026 as per the later report.
  16. Although many still call it the Tuesday/Friday market it's all pretty much open every day now. Not sure of the hours.
  17. No, your US bank does not. As per my post it's the payment processor noted on your card, which seems like Mastercard for you. The "other" rate offered at the ATM is being offered by the ATM operator and as you say is usually much lower.
  18. I think most use the services of Wise or similar and let them do the conversion. Someone else worked out that was more cost effective up to around $22K USD IIRC. SWIFT transfers better above that. If you want to time the exchange to get a higher rate you can do that by holding it in Wise, and I think you can even preset a rate where they'll convert it automatically.
  19. Where did you check it at 9am? The exchange rate is set by the payment processor - usually Visa or Mastercard - and not by the ATM operator, unless you opt for DCC as mentioned. It'll be slightly below the rate you see on XE or Wise, for example, as Visa/Mastercard take their cut.
  20. There's a couple of threads about visits to the tax office although not sure how helpful they might be, especially with regard to the specific query mentioned by The Cyclist. https://aseannow.com/topic/1318120-revenue-department-contact-reports/ https://aseannow.com/topic/1330694-a-visit-to-the-tax-office/
  21. No, or I wouldn't have asked the question. My thinking is that it doesn't matter who receives it, if it's taxable money then tax is due and if it's an attempt to evade tax then it shouldn't be asked on here.
  22. Which agent? Mine isn't due for a few months but would like to know of any potential hiccups.
  23. Only 2 banks - Bangkok Bank and Kasikorn. SCB is 1,499,999 THB and the rest 49,999 THB.
  24. What makes you think transferring it directly to the hospital via Wise will negate any tax implications (assuming you are referring to Personal Income Tax)?
  25. It depends. This webpage expains it and gives you figures to work with. https://www.airalo.com/blog/how-much-data-does-youtube-use
