  1. Roughly, as I looked it up quickly: Approx 20 flights a day LHR-JFK 5 a day to Toronto. 6 a day to Hong Kong 3 a day to Bangkok So just supply and demand. Expensive perhaps, but that doesn't make it a ripoff.
  2. Over 70's lines in the main halls. Marked "Priority" rather than "Fast Track" IIRC.
  3. Or just a faulty or misread chip in your passport.
  4. No, it has changed quite recently and Timatic (the system the airlines use to check) now says: So yes you need a ticket, but no it can be outside your alloted (visa waiver) time. This differs from all the advice on here (and elsewhere) and which I have adhered to for years, but anyone is free to check it out. For clarity I checked it using UK passport details.
  5. That's not quite correct. Facial scanners have also been installed at the boarding gates (at least the one I used earlier this week).
  6. Forgot to mention it'll then return back to 3 per week as mentioned here: https://mainlymiles.com/2024/10/19/british-airways-postpones-kuala-lumpur-relaunch-april-2025/
  7. OP doesn't have access to an aerial so a tuner is no good to him.
  8. Brits don't need a visa (or two blank pages) but do need 6 months left on their passport and a return/onward ticket. What did you say or do that made her change her mind?

  10. Siamburi's have Goldenfry Chip Shop Curry Sauce. Their Bisto one is regular curry sauce.
  11. Just pay it off as soon as it hits your account and any interest will be negligible. Better still get a Barclaycard Rewards credit card and you'll have until the next bill to pay it off.
  12. The Grand Sole in between Centric Sea and 2nd Road is currently being totally redeveloped but it seems to have been going on for years so I would think it's almost done by now. I don't think it's Marriott but IHG with a massive complex stretching from 2nd Road right through to Beach Road. It's been very quiet recently so don't know if it's still in their plans, but the refurbishment of the Grand Sole was the first stage of it. Not Pattaya but Marriott do still have a place in Naklua.
  13. They would be itemised on the emailed receipt if that was what was happening, according to the app.
  14. Are you using Bolt Taxis or another option? The app indicates some cases where additional fees apply so does your receipt show anything unexpected or just a total price?
  15. Dubai - train from Concourse A to Concourse B. Doha (Qatar) - train from the Concourse A/B/C intersection to the Concourse C/D/E intersection. Dubai has issues if you'rer transiting to/from a non-Emirates flight where you have to travel to a different Terminal, but just like BKK, the different concourses in Terminal 3 are either connected by walkways or the train.
  16. The article seems more about the function not working correctly for various reasons rather then it not existing. Don't you have something like this:
  17. It's not something I'm aware of setting up, but my Win11 seems to be automatically creating Restore Points any time it's updated.
  18. Always goes missing when there's a change. It's seemingly a 3rd party plug-in or something like that and no-one ever remembers these need re-installed or updated too.
  19. Won't affect everyone but Capital Gains Tax, unspent pension pot tax, APD (2025 rises confirmed and new ones for 2026) will affect some.
  20. Are you using the original User ID as created by BBL or have you changed it to something of your own that's easier to remember? If the latter, try with the original one again.
  21. Neither have I but if I took a taxi from the rank at BKK or DMK I would expect to get charged. It was introduced 4 years ago according to this: https://thethaiger.com/hot-news/transport/only-taxis-travelling-from-and-to-bangkok-airports-can-charge-for-luggage
  22. This guy mentioned it in a few posts a couple of months ago but never got much traction. https://aseannow.com/topic/1336584-revolutionary-app-jamjang-finally-you-can-pay-247-in-thailand-without-thai-bank-account/
  23. When I read that bit I thought it must be registered by then which seemed out of kilter with other offerings, but losing the service then sounds more like it.
