  1. But surely it still isn't up to the farang to show proof of a TM30? And how would a, out in the bush, boarding house owner know immigration laws? As far as I'm concerned it's all a load of tosh.
  2. Did they get a receipt? No receipt no pay. Dunno about anyone else but I'm confused with the above.
  3. At that size you'd be really struggling due to the weight of the frames etc. Just to lift and fit a 240x110 would take 3 men or more just to lift it off the ground. Look at the size again Having done it myself I don't believe you have windows as big as 320cm. The sheer weight of the frame would cause distortion on fitting.
  4. So your windows are bigger than 240x110 cm.? Amazing.
  5. And what size are you talking? Mine are 240x110 cm. The fittings and instructions etc come with the windows.
  6. Tell that to the cop who it belongs to. No second thought needed.
  7. We've been burgled twice over the years. One time was when we were in bed asleep and he woke the wife who then woke me. My wife, after that, was a gibbering wreck. She sort help from a local policeman friend who gave her a 9mm automatic pistol for security until we could have security grills fitted.
  8. Not DiY orientated are we? You get the nearest size to the window you want to replace. If the new window is bigger than the old one you chase out the masonry to accommodate it. If the new window is smaller than the old window you will have to infill the gaps. It's not rocket science. More like common sense. I replaced 9 windows in all and a new double sliding door.
  9. Go to Homepro and buy their uPVC windows. Take your time and fit them yourself. No problems.
  10. You don't file a TM30. The property owner does. https://www.tilleke.com/insights/thailand-relax-rules-tm30-immigration-requirements/
  11. Go to your local PEA offices and enquire there to see if anyone there does cash in hand jobs.
  12. As I see it the only time an agent can legally represent you is to do your 90 day report or if you are ill and have a doctors note confirming your disability.
  13. I agree, most locals in the sticks won't have motorbike insurance. Hence why he stands a better chance asking someone with a 'BigBike' who'll more likely have full cover.
  14. As far as we know. But now being up to international standards I'd be surprised if they weren't.
  15. I wouldn't commit an act that put my stay here in jeopardy. If siht (anaram) happened then I'd take my punishment. I'm no hypocrite.
  16. I believe Scotland to be one.
  17. May be this will assist? https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attractions-g293919-Activities-c40-Pattaya_Chonburi_Province.html
  18. Horses for courses. Trial and error. Some people like massages that may be others don't like. Personally I like it heavy handed.
  19. Just ask one of the locals where to get insurance. It's not as if they'll be a big difference in prices.
  20. Just finished 'Sniper: The White Raven'. I can't believe IMDb only gave it a 5.8/10. Well worth more.
  21. Rarely, but Thailand has modified its national network to meet international standards. https://www.cdg.co.th/website/en/industries/government/immigration-system-the-immigration-bureau/
