How much does PEA charge to connect electric to land per metre?
lopburi3 replied to ubonr1971's topic in The Electrical Forum
You really need to contact PEA I suspect as you may also have to pay for a new transformer(which might be more than 135 meters)/poles as well as wire - could be a nasty surprise if not prepared. -
Bangkok Bank app issues
lopburi3 replied to jphasia's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
I do not use but would check that limit has not changed (an update perhaps causing a new limit?). I did note son had to wait excessive time for simple bank balance using BBL app yesterday so they may be having communications issues. -
Note there does seem to be current construction (mostly hidden from road view) that seems to indicate money is being spent on facilities. Website remains just about useless for any information on doctors (or much of anything) however.

Actually the screwdrivers required to open HDD are available at most computer/hardware shops and once pull discs easy to scratch them beyond use. -
Where can you get bivalent covid vaccine?

If asking about Thailand do not believe they are available anywhere, nor are there any firm plans to make them available yet. -

As said the spin mop is very good and if you have the cash high quality units are available from Scotch Brite (but a lot more expensive). https://www.lazada.co.th/tag/3m-scotch-brite-mop/ -
To answer OP - yes they are easily available here. There are dedicated online suppliers such as above and one I often use https://bangkokdrugstore.com/ These sources often have items not listed online if you ask and will likely be more reliable for fresh/properly stored stock than many soi drug stores. I often buy Tylenol from Lazada and Shopee with no issues.

Suspect payment is due until equipment has been returned and accepted (you already stated you used it in December). The equipment itself may draw charges of misuse/damage (is there is a scratch anywhere). As much as it hurts it is often best (for family) to bow out and let the wife take care of it (it is her contract).

Suspect you mean positive?

Several factors - but yes Wise does become less attractive for larger transfers as fee based on amount sent. To send using Bangkok Bank New York the ACH transfer must be in international format (most US banks will not do but believe Schwab does. There will be a fee at BBL NY (which Bangkok Bank website lists - based on amount sent) plus receiving fee in Thailand (.25% in range 200-500 baht). You will want to send USD for conversion in Thailand.

Internet banking change.
lopburi3 replied to owl sees all's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Actually it can be more than daunting. My new Samsung fell on floor in first week to become trash (just not hand friendly for pickup from desk). Another brand spammed me in Chinese (after setting up in English). Both needed to fed (charged) more than a child. As it is open knowledge some brands phone home with all info recorded not sure they can be called safe. Apps are only as safe as the maker makes them. Then they change (upgrade) every few months to make you learn everything again and keep the app makers busy. Not to even get into them trying to be smarter than the average bear and never twice operating the same. Unless needed (and know many need) prefer to remain non internet Nokia phone person. -
The issue is they do not know until a biopsy is actually done and often they will be negative (most of us consider that a good thing). Today they can often test/find/remove cancers that in the past would not be found until too late for successful actions based on early testing/treatment. Yes it does mean we have/pay for more tests but in most cases this is a doctors decision based on medical issues rather than a hospital call.

What does Wise have to do with smartphones? You can run Wise on computer and for US banks Wise can draw funds directly once set up. But indeed there are charges. -

Indeed - and the screens are so large on "smart" phones as to make them more energy hungry than a laptop, too large to hold, and a deadly weapon needing a briefcase to carry (perhaps that why younger men run around with a tote bag these days)? There should be room for cash/cards for many years. And tested/secure computer programs for banking rather that the rat's nest of 'trust us' apps. -
Perhaps we are happy not to know - and be here rather than there.
