  1. My bad, I thought ALL Ultra Capacity was n41, it is not... could be n41, n71, n260, n261 Ultra Capacity (UC) 5G With Ultra Capacity 5G, you’ll experience a performance boost, a reliable connection in crowded locations, and speeds as fast as Wi-Fi. Look for the newly released icon on your iPhone or Android screen to know when you’re in an area with our fastest speeds! Frequencies that can provide UC 5G: Band n41 (2.5 GHz) Band n258 (24 GHz) Band n260 (39 GHz) Band n261 (28 GHz) https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/t-mobile-network
  2. Which provider do you use when you are in the U.S? I mean, the iPhone 7 must be getting a bit long in the tooth? Storage, performance, battery, latest IOS.
  3. Seems like a decent compromise. https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/coverage-map AFAIK, this phone would only work (5G) on n41 (2500) with T-Mobile in the U.S. and the same band here on AIS and TrueMove. It will work on 4G/LTE, 3G, etc in the U.S. as well. https://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/coverage-map 5G Ultra Capacity, darkest color, drill down.
  4. I think you need to understand the provider's networks as well. And how broad their Sub-6 or mmWave coverage might be. For the U.S. I'd focus on 4G/LTE compatibility. It's plenty fast enough, and has extremely broad coverage, and is available via MVNOs. Not sure there's one answer to this question right now. Even high-end phones like iPhone 13 and Pixel 6 Pro have different models. And 5G may not even be available for visitors, tourists, pre-paid, MVNO (in countries outside of Thailand). I doubt a Samsung A8 (2018) supports 5G. It should work fine both here and in the U.S. on 4G/LTE. And there are ~ 7 different S21+ models. Net-net it's still way too early to future-proof a 5G HW purchase today. You can prioritize, but there will be trade-offs.
  5. TM.30 enforcement was cranked after the Uyghur/Erawan Shrine bombing. Since then, and compounded with the lack of arrivals, I think only those who might need to use Imm. worry about filing these. And even then Imm seems to allow the late or subsequent filing. Further, the web platform AFAIK, does not allow one to save a new record. (I tried a month ago for some new, first-time visitors.) The mobile app does allow one to save a new record. Not sure what hotels are doing currently re: TM.30? Maybe batching paper and mailing it to Imm? Or some poor staff member is probably filing thee on their phone. For most of us, inundated with reporting requirements (TM.6, TM.7, TM.8, TM.30, TM.47 all require an address), it is amusing to see the authorities apparently stumbling about trying to locate a few hundred recent arrivals.
  6. This may be due to the differences in injection techniques for the two different vaccines: subcutaneous or intra-dermal injection for sino-stuff, and intramuscular for Moderna?
  7. What is your visa status? When do you enter Thailand? You quarantined? I guess you could pretend to be unvaccinated and try to get a single Pfizer as a booster. But your MoPH record would only show partially vaccinated. Not sure if Moderna full dose (single shot) works as a Pfizer 2X booster?
  8. Annual flu vaccines on line 2 for you.
  9. There are a gazillion charts out there. Private hospitals only have one paid booster option right now: Moderna. The government seems to be offering AZ, Pfizer and Moderna as a booster for sino-stuff 2X. Not a lot about government boosters for AZ 2X. What vaccines have you received? When? Check with the hospital which administered your vaccines. And check with your Moderna supplier to see what their rules are. And check with the MoPH. The focus remains getting more people fully vaxxed. Boosters might get more press in January? One private hospital's booster chart:
  10. This seems like a good experiment. Just make sure you have testing in place, and evaluation criteria based on the infection rate, and procedures for those places found to have high infection rates.
  11. I don't think drinking is prohibited during these hours, either at home or in a pub-bar-resto? Just retail sales, right?
  12. "will" lose his job? What about his superiors, who were responsible for managing him? Those who recommended him for his promotions? And those he paid for his "elephant ticket"?
  13. KLM has two flights a day BKK-AMS (one from MNL, one from HKG), so they have experience with vaccination records. Assuming you have a valid vaccination record (Mor Phrom, COVID-19 Vaccine Certificate) you will not be denied boarding. The yellow book is not mandatory. Are you trying to upload something to KLM or UK.GOV?
  14. "Hopes"? Without taking any actions? Classic thai. Then when they don't get elevated they'll say the U.S. doesn't understand thai-style slavery. And the TIP report isn't really important. BANGKOK (The Nation/Asia News Network): Soldiers of 14th Infantry Regiment on Wednesday (Nov 24) night arrested 184 Myanmar migrants as they were crossing the border into Thailand without documentation at Phob Phra district in Tak province. They had also paid an agency who promised to help them find a job in inner provinces of Thailand at 20,000 baht per person. https://www.nationthailand.com/in-focus/40009259
  15. Institutionalized blackmail. "Nice bank account you have there, be a shame if something happened to it." This (insurance racket) is what boiler-rooms are for. Stop asking customer service reps to become sales people. Put that coffee down!! Coffee's for closers only.
  16. As long as they do not do any sequencing on recent tests they should be able to maintain this "nothing to see here" posture.
  17. Actually: https://www.amamarine.co.th/ https://www.ptgenergy.co.th/ He's the wealthiest member of the cabinet. I mean if you use "declared" assets. Yeah, being classified as "increasingly marginalized" is not a good look. prayut should throw him overboard and start with someone new in that role, once it looks like the COVID thing wanes.
  18. Honestly, unless I'm on mask-police duty that day I don't take much notice. Not my job.
  19. Yes, 50 micrograms, if you've had two full Moderna doses. Not sure hospitals here will splita single dose right now, nor allow the sharing of the needle? If you reserved a lot 1 Moderna vaccine and have already received your e-voucher but would like to transfer your reservation, you may do so. Please have the person you transferred your reservation to enter your e-voucher number when they are scheduling their vaccination appointment. https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/update-moderna01 Seems to make reselling easy? Take cash, give e-voucher number.
  20. https://thainews.prd.go.th/en/news/detail/TCATG210914133342779 https://www.mfa.go.th/en/content/thaigermanycooperationcovid31082564-2?page=5d5bd3da15e39c306002aaf9&menu=5d5bd3dd15e39c306002ab1d https://www.nationthailand.com/pr-news/business/40003609 Maybe check with the larger hospitals with an international focus.
  21. Said to be coming in 2022 here. Last I heard they were looking a local partner. Unless it's someone from one of the five families this may not get any traction. Broadband coverage and 4G is pretty robust save for some challenging rural locations (where demand is measured on one hand). And end-user start-up costs are quite expensive. And rainy season.
  22. Which booster do you want? If Moderna is an option you can buy that. Check with MedPark or Bumrungrad. Maybe drop an email to MedPark as they did dispense a lot of Pfizer, and the regime has ordered ~ 30 mm Pfizer doses. What is your visa status? This matters. While the regime is doling out boosters, those are going to folks who got sino-stuff. AFAIK, no real push for boosters for those with AZ 2X or Pfizer 2X yet. I'm not sure they'll give you a booster today. But you could try a walk-in at Bang Sue RR station, Fashion Island or Asiatique?
  23. Conservative ultra-nationalists want to turn the clock back on many aspects of thai society. But not so far as to when women walked around topless, apparently. Sherman, set the way-back machine for 1925.
  24. This topic used to come up often here, although don't recall any recent posts. Maybe a search would yield some valuable detail? example: https://aseannow.com/topic/557981-signal-booster/ Are you certain that fiber broadband is not available nearby? You might have to pay for a long-run, but it will be worth it. Finally check with neighbors, see what they're doing for interwebs.
