too much moderation inconsistency, some get suspended for mentioning grammar mistakes, others not. a friend was suspended for writing 'plus ca change' because it's not english language, despite being a french phrase commonly used by native english speakers, as are many latin phrases, so the rule makes little sense. this though is small fry compared to the proliferation of bigoted, sexist, homophobic, transphobic language and comments that are allowed here seemingly with immunity.

go to japan, HK, Singapore, plenty of westerners live and work there with their families from back home.

people is many countries make generalisations and have judgements about people in other countries. my thai friends are in the main professionals, many are educated abroad and some to masters level - in a second language don't forget - they understand perfectly how pensions work and most have pension with through their work place or have a personal pension plan.

my mate did it recently. bangkok bank would give him an account but he needed a letter from the embassy confirming his citizenship (really!), so he walked out and round the corner to k bank. a bit of a faff with much photocopying, document stamping and signing and calls to HO for authoristation, but he now has an account.
