  1. You seem to miss, everyone has the same rights to file the same, using the same tax laws. The higher income earners pay more ... that's not fair. A flat tax is fair, and anything else is BS.
  2. Or ... "On holiday with me at the pool" Although, still waiting for some A I, instead of 20+ year old photo editing
  3. IF it actually becomes law and instituted, being a Yank, it won't affect me at all. Been here a while already, and all bought in already. Don't need any big ticket items, and the money for, is already here. Older married guys don't have much to worry about, and enough exemptions/allowances to barely get taxed, if any, if only bringing in about 800k to meet Imm requirements. More than enough to live on, aside from any extra brought in would get hit with a minimum tax. Not worth concerning one's self about.
  4. Something to consider, when buying DJI product. They have built in 'no fly zone', in the DJI software, which may or may not restrict from flying in some zones. I forget the protocol for overriding the software. The reason I never owned a DJI product, 'no fly zone' and 'forced registration' of drones, if buying from DJI. Don't know how enforced that is now. UAV Forecast app shows me in an airport zone, same as when i lived in Udon Thani. Before you buy a DJI product, check your area. For those reasons alone, I would opt for the FIMI 3, <฿8k at link in YT review below. Also has more features the DJI products. That price is 1 battery, and didn't search cost of extras. FIMI made the XiaoMi / MI Drone, years ago that I owned & loved. Basically a DJI Phantom drone but better & less expensive. Link to few vids I made with the MI Drone years ago. Last one, titled 'Trestle' one of the better ones.
  5. I really don't recommend where I live, though far from a secret. Not that it would interest any single folks, especially if they rely on some sort of nightlife (P4P) for companionship, or can't manage a conversation in Thai with a local. Have noticed an influx of westerners in the area. As I use to be the only westerner shopping at Makro most times, and now I see at least 5 others in there, while I'm shopping. Although they are couples (farang / farang), and rarely, occasionally a farang / Thai couple, aside from wife & myself. They don't seem to be fond of Thai food, as most seen at the only 2 westerner catering venues surfside. To the topic title, OP seems to want to leave his ghetto (if even in TH), and start a new one
  6. That would be ~315k tax, as the 115k is base, and need to tax the addition 800k also @ 25%. Built in was the 150k exempt income, I think. Of course you need to read your countries DTA to see if that helps, as guessing you home country, if knowing of your income, will be taxing that also. I sure there is some heavy duty fines and or prison for tax evasion, just like any country.
  7. torrent on PB, and I downloaded 5 & 6 the other day (4 & 10 eps)
  8. Yes, and read it as such. (Did an edit while you were typing) 150 X 12 = 1.8M, and falls in th 1M-2M income bracket, taxable @ 25%, if I read it correctly, at link provided in my first reply.
  9. Being it's going to be transferred into a Thai bank account, they will know about the funds. Technically, you are liable for income tax. How that would be collected, and or info given to TRD is a bit of an unknown now, but rest assured, they will know, and you will have a tax due. Obviously the easiest way would be evidence of taxes paid when renewing / extending any visa at Immigrations every year. This is a good thread, well, first page or 2 before all the silly questions, from people not reading, or knowing their country DTA (dual tax agreement). Has the present income tax per income increments. 150k a month puts you in the higher tax burden of 25% (page 7). Married & deductions help lowering that.
  10. OK, maybe not a total POS ... as I misread the air speed & wind resistance ... oops Wind resistance at ~25 kph, means you'll need to operate at times, so not to be blown out of position. Would still pick the MINI over the NEO, as the we bit more wind resistance will come in handy, if here in TH. Location dependent ... as winds where I am / PKK, peak at ~25 kph at noon, and that's NOT gusting winds, and also at ground level. Go 30+ meters up, and it increases substantially. The higher you go, 30m / 50m up, the stronger that wind is, and it increased quite a bit, at only a slight increase in altitude. Suggest you download UAV Forecast app, as excellent for beginners to double check conditions. Unfortunately they changed it a wee bit, as now have to upgrade, for different wind speed at different altitudes, as use to free. But cheap enough, and if it saves your 12k-15k drone from crashing, well worth it, till you get some experience. Which every ... HAPPY FLYING
  11. If the surf is as bad as it is here / PKK, locally, it's hard to believe anyone would go out into the Gulf without a larger craft. It's that time of year .. damn rough out there.
  12. Did y'all not notice the red banner at top of page. Also can't copy & paste (images) at this time. Although it will accept links to.
  13. When you have a few billion, a million is pocket money. I think it's more, 'sorry for being an Ahole in the past' than expecting something in the future. They realize they picked the wrong side in the past, and making amends, beside a tax write off
  14. Use it or Lose it ... read, reply, troll AN STAY SHARP
  15. I can't emphasis this enough, the NEO is overpriced POS. Get the MINI for about the same price, and you'll actually be able to operate it. I've seen a few, MINIs online, FB marketplace, about half price. You do not need a license to operate a drone in Thailand. You have to register it, IF, it has a camera, or, over 2kgs.
  16. There is nothing wrong with plastic. It's how it's used (food industry), and how it's disposed of, landfill or sea. Any plastic not recycled, should be burned for energy. Problem solved. Taxes ... I would have no problem pay more, though prefer a flat tax (income), but the problem is, the govt (USA) wastes most taxes, mismanage their budget, and corruption rules. So NO, I don't want to give them any tax money, and main reason I left the USA. I literally live here / TH, on what my monthly tax burden would be in the USA, approximately say $476 / ฿16.3k, (as calculated for 2024), from actual cost. Pretty sure just my real estate taxes would be that amount. If having one of the last houses I owned there. Time for a 'System Change'. and should be how they spend our taxes collected. That's the problem, not that they don't already have enough.
  17. Just check, 4 old PP, 2 stamped, 2 not stamped.
  18. Their wealth rose. That doesn't mean their income rose, especially if tied to stocks. Some assets aren't taxed until sold, as it should be, as they have no value, until sold. When you have money and assets, they grow very fast once established. The tax cose (USA) is already bias to higher earners. A fair tax is a flat tax ... everyone pays the same. Nobody should be penalized for working longer, harder or smarter. I earn, I keep. You want more, earn more. Because you won't earn more, I have to give you mine, because I have more ... in what world is that fair.
  19. Most plastics are NOT biodegradable. So basically you will taxing most all plastic. More taxes never solve anything, as they simply waste more, if they have more.
  20. Yes. You hit your 1B, stop producing, selling, buying, paying employees, taxes (except on interest earned), so now money is only benefiting you. Add to that, no need or motivation, to even stay in home country, so now that's not even going back into the economy. What if Musk stopped all, once he hit 1B. Close Tesla, Space X may have never been, etc etc etc. Same with Bezos, Gates, and whoever else. Oil tycoons, OK, got our 1B, stop pumping oil. I was fed up with paying taxes, so when I had enough, I stopped producing, investing, paying taxes, as had enough, and didn't want to continue risking my money, and having govt take 40%. And, I left, so nothing is returned to the USA economy. I'm no longer paying taxes, RE, school, road, all those taxes that help less fortunate. Only one person, but times that by 1-10-100 thousand people, half million, 10 million, and that all starts to add up. Especially if we we're providing jobs, income, to be reinvested into the economy. Now, I'm a blight on the USA taxpayer. Less so since I live here / TH, but I'm a negative on their balance sheet. If not for the taxes, I probably would still be in USA, producing, generating income, to the benefit of govt and others. Once you go down that road, limiting to 1B, what next, 1/2 B, till you get down to 1M. Now you're losing you tax base, and as they say ... "Sooner or later, you run out of other people's money"
  21. Or use a local vendor on LAZ or Shopee. Where I bought mine Or I'll give you some if you live near me. Just stuck 100gr in the freezer, yesterday.
  22. OP did state ... 'wasn't tech minded', and an understatement 😎 210 baht a month to have a phone for emergencies, and small price to pay if needing. I'm not a phone person, more GPS & camera use, but it does come in handy quite often.
