  1. Or, if given the chance, and his administration isn't derailed come mid terms, maybe it will help turn things around for the good. As nothing has seemed to work, since I entered the workforce, since the early 70s. Two work sectors I worked in went belly up. 3 out of 4 airlines I worked for went belly up. 2 brothers had long careers with companies with defense contracts, so wars are profitable. Other brother worked in public transportation, unprofitable company supported by tax subsidies. Most others I know, struggled making ends meet, in the best of times, working for companies. Seems only people that prospered that I know, as myself, were self employed.
  2. Handbags at 10 paces in a simple photo thread, mind boggling. Oh well, was nice for a while 😎
  3. Pretty sure you know that's false narrative. I didn't even pay attention to the campaigning, as I don't vote, and could care less. Even I heard him a couple times endorsing a weaker dollar for exports. All part of building the manufacturer sector and providing more jobs. And yes, anyone missing that, was an idiot. Not just Trump's policies, as during every administration, since about 2000, has had the dollar down to about 30 / $1 USA, or below 30 for some. Trumps is where Biden had his lows, so not much different for almost 2 decades.
  4. Kudos to the roadwork being done on hwy 4 & 37, as the additional overpasses are quite welcomed. Got a few south of us under construction now, and yea, a bit slow going when passing, but well worth the slight inconvenience when done. Make our long O&A smoother & faster, with lack of cross traffic. So much safer for those crossing or making U-turns. A work in progress. Our main intersection is even due for an overpass, and well be a nice upgrade for the area when done. Weekends the congestion if brutal. Crossing now and the wait time was raised recently from ~20 secs to ~45 secs. Regular and long weekends and I'll take the MB, as there is an underpass bypass of the main intersection, which can save some time on certain day.
  5. Agree, as TH has plenty of legal immigrants in the workforce, and jobs available here for anyone from surrounding countries that want them. Wages are better here in TH for the unskilled laborers. If anything, the opposite, and instability in MM has caused the influx of unwanted immigrants on the western border.
  6. I guess this will go over to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) as did the Preah Vihear temple dispute, which TH lost to KH.
  7. Not surprised at all, and pretty much what I expected. No victims here or forced prostitution. Pimping & crossing state line was pretty obvious. Hope he and fellow celebs sue the rags for portraying them as the worst scum on the earth. Surely it affected some of their careers and upcoming projects they might have been considered for.
  8. Exactly, and indeed questionable.
  9. That's one thing I really like about the ZS. Nothing blocks the view, and we got silly amount of headroom, which means lots of glass, almost fish tank ish compared to the Mazda 2, which I hated. Actually the main selling point for us vs a sedan, lots of headroom & glass, a false impression of lots of room. The headroom makes it easy for me, getting in & out, with my back. I can step right into it, instead of trying to slide in on an angle. Only reason we didn't get the EP, as 180k cheaper, but a sedan, with exact same specs. Other EV seem to think the huge displays are a selling point, and I think as you, they're silly, especially when they're higher than the dash. Ours is built in, even below the AC vents. The reality is, first couple weeks of owning, you play with it, for the info, testing things, then after that, we only touch it to adjust the AC, or keep track when O&A when charging. Other than that, we ignore it. Not like we're watching movies or playing vid games on the damn thing.
  10. I think they're selling few to none CN EVs already in US, so not much will change in the future. They won't even let the MGs from Mexico come in without a stiff tariff. So how do you like the Neta for knocking around town ? You driving it much or just the little lady ?
  11. I could explain it to you, but I couldn't make you understand it, so my brother. Maybe you'll listen to Ms Google.
  12. I can mail a form in, as many as I want, any time I want. The silliness of 'OMG, where's the form at', is a bit comical. Geez, just download one & mail it. It's not even late, and if it never arrives ... OMG, what do I do I could just change me address to USA, an never think about the form again 😎
  13. I see we have 2 types of folks replying ... ... EV owners, quite happy with their EVs and recommend ... EV haters, with no experience, and echoing the MSM fear mongering. The present, and slowing down depreciation has nothing to do with quality, but the rapid improvement and lower cost of producing EV along with a price war. Common with high tech new products. Personally I think the price war has just about bottomed out, as any more savings the manufacturer get won't be passed on to end consumer, as they do need to retain profits. Half the battery production is already controlled by CN (CATL & BYD / 36-37% & 16-17% market share respectfully), so not sure how CN market is going to crash, as the rest of the market wouldn't exist without CN. MG uses CATL batteries, and gets a 1M kms warranty with them, and why MG gives the buyer, not just the original buyer, a 'lifetime warranty', on the newer models. The haters, anti CN / EV, do nothing but show their ignorance. I would never buy another ICEV, or a vehicle from legacy auto makers from JP or EU. All overpriced & under performers IMHO.
  14. If true, can't say he didn't try. And Z showed his ungrateful hand. Live, or die, with your choices 😎
  15. If anyone is looking for lowest calories in spirits, then go with the clears; vodka, gin & tequila, usually <100 per shot (1.5 oz / 44 ml). Someone mentioned Jack D, that's good also, as is Jameson & Crown Royal, the 2, favorites of mine. All ~100 per shot.
  16. Beer should have next to 0 sugar per 100 ml, since a fermented alcohol drink. Any residual sugar from the fermentation would barely register.
  17. @Sir Dude That's why you choose wisely when buying any product. That they are giving them away, as you say, then that is the time to buy. BYD and MG (SAIC) will be around for a long time. 2nd had from JP ... if OP wanted an older, overpriced & underperforming POS, he would have asked a different query.
  18. @Jingthing A glitch in the Matrix ... can't seem to quote you If MAGAs didn't know and actually cared about it enough, and still voted for DJT, now surprised and unhappy about it, then they are idiots. He took it from ~35 to ~30 last time ... bastard Biden back to 35 and even hit 38 DAMN YOU HARRIS ... you couldn't hide in the basement like Biden did & WON 😢
  19. Who cars about SS 7162 form ... ... SS DD in BBL, right on time, and that's all that matters
  20. 2 Points, yea, you vote for what interests and will benefit you. Why would you not? If you didn't know Trump wanted a weaker USD, then you'd fall into the 'idiot' category, as he talked about it on the campaign trail quite often. And did the exact same thing in first administration. Don't know where any surprise would come from. He's done or try to do, exacting what he stated while campaigning. As expected actually, and why I wanted Harris to win. Bad for the country, good for me.
  21. BYD is a good choice, and may want to take a peek at MG, having lifetime warranty of the battery (newer models). Not as much selection as BYD. Both having or developing extensive dealer networks, with chargers. You're mistaken about the 'minimal EV infrastructure', as more than enough CS (charging stations) countrywide in TH. Very few area where you'd need to plan much. We don't even bother any more, knowing there's more than enough. We've traveled S, N, NE, Central, never a issue. PTT now having charging 'hub' stations on major highways, with 10 charging cables. A work in progress and came across a couple lately. I don't think you can go much more than 50 kms without seeing a CS, along all the major highways. Pay attention to the WLTP range rating, as accurate enough. Ours is 320 kms, we get 340 on highway, and 360 kms around town. Our NEDC rating is 403, so 15-20% less is realistic for MG. Of course, you don't really want to go below 20% when out and about anyway, as nice to have a reserve. You'll find yourself stopping before needing to charge anyway, as someone always needs to P, or gets hungry. We rarely make it pass 3+ hrs before stopping, and just plug in when we do. Thread about CS: https://aseannow.com/topic/1279914-ev-charging-stations-cs/ HAPPY SHOPPING
  22. After about 20 yrs old, I really had no desire or need for male friends. Not saying I didn't have any, by that time, or met new ones, especially last company I worked for, but didn't really spend much time with any males. Not into sports, or talking about females conquests, so no real common interests. Some good diving buddies, or a few to smoke doobies and sip few with, but nobody I'd see on even a weekly or monthly basis. Not fluent in Thai, and most locals over 40 or 50 yrs old, aren't really fluent in English, so that language barrier is there. Don't have too much in common with younger generation.
  23. Must be in Khon Kaen today From the OP ... "Your view from your balcony home, hotel, beach, travelling, just any nice view will do, and any weather as well." ... If the thread doesn't interest you ... He ignored you the first time you asked him 'what's the point?' Might want to take the hint. Just a thought 😎
