Our 'view' now, and a bit different than this morning 👍 Clearing the field, lot behind the house, and took down a tree line. Now we can see the Wat on top of the limestone hill at surfside, along with much more of the wall of limestone also. Abet zoomed in. Could do without seeing the house, or rather, them having a view of ours. May have to start wearing clothes on the veranda 😎 Last photo is what it was this morning ish ... OK, that one isn't today 🙄

Clearing the field in the back of the house, and lots of Eastern Cattle-Egret - Ardea coromanda following the digger around. Seems to be the season. Not out back, but at surfside area, also today, more than a few there also. Took a few snaps ...

I dropped out of the 1% in 2010 Also the only year I was in it ... shh Now I'm bottom 50% (earnings). Saying that, pre 2000, and now, friends and family still alive, I didn't and don't know anyone that lives month to month as implied. Though 2025, and think quite a few do now. 40 million getting some kind of food purchasing assistance. Something wrong with that picture. In TH, so .... multi-millionaire status ...

See it's the competition (GWM) crying about BYD's price cuts. No surprise, as really hard to compete if you have to buy the batteries from BYD or CATL. The supercharger thingy is nice, if you are O&A quite a bit, and there is a supercharging network in your country. So useless in TH. Our car now is probably considered low tech & obsolete Only a 50 kWh battery and no lifetime warranty. What a POS. Still more car than we need or use.... and ... still LOVIN' IT ❤️

USA Can Diddy Reclaim His Throne? A Legacy Tarnished and a Future in Question

Why should he pay court cost, because some over ambitious prosecutor tried to advance his/her career with a high profile case with zero evident. There's no victims here, just a pimp, who's only big mistake was crossing state lines. -
Didn't think you could sound any more foolish ... I was wrong. Troll on ... BYE BYE Not building up to JP specs ... that's a good thing ... "Toyota did recall some of its bZ4X electric vehicles due to a potential issue with the wheels potentially falling off." ...
-
Maybe even enter into a relationship with a live, in person, touchable, human being ...
-
VS buying from CN, that have a few more years of experience putting out EVs. And, the wheels don't fall of, like on Toyota Where do you think Toyota gets their batteries from ??? Don't buy a BYD, buy Toyota with BYD parts ...
-
Someone posted elsewhere, they don't trust Toyota, and have to agree. They got caught submitting cars for safety ratings that don't come off the production lines. That's F'd up. Puts them in the very untrustworthy class as VW. Sadly, seems to be an industry wide thing for JP. Someone please tell us all again ... "I would never buy a car from CN, can't trust them"

Really ... interesting, as never could get a straight answer, as some websites really suck. Even MG doesn't specify sometimes the chemistry, and some are still listed as lithium ion and not LFP, when I know they are LFP. I'm so bored at times, was thinking about getting a used Neta, and a kit, to make a dune buggy or something (mini pick up) for local knocking around Might be a bit more technical than I'm up for, depending how the electronics are wired through out. Yea, I think about that kind of sh!t. The old days, when you could take a torch to a car and cut off most things without worrying
-
Not sure if it's numbers of cars sold, or simply dependable, but the MG dealers we stop to charge at, the service bays are never full. With the one exception, Hua Hin, but the place is so small, I think only 2 lifts. Unlike when owning a Toyota or Mazda, and a Q to schedule a day in, this week or even next week.
-
Agree, and I can't really think of a better place, or I'd be there. As I don't need to be here, I actually want to be here in TH. I could probably be just as happy, and or bored at times, elsewhere. Like the added freedom, stress free, and inexpensive existence here. Ease of seeing our daughter, though she has little time off of work, so that doesn't keep us here as much, as one would think. As driving 8 - 10 hrs round trip with a hotel stay, just to spend the day with her, once a month, isn't much different than flying in from a neighboring country once a month, for a long weekend at the Big Mango.
-
One has always been available when we've wanted, and I've never Q'd up to use, even when O&A during the weekends. Never an issue with us .... yet. Have wanted to stop to P, and or eat, and next one was full, so just went down to the next available. Yes, there are that many now, or one might be on the other side of the highway. The inconvenience a making a U-turn ... hell no

USA Can Diddy Reclaim His Throne? A Legacy Tarnished and a Future in Question

He's already been in jail 9 months. Depending on how much of a business the pimping was, he might just get big fine & time served. Couldn't have been that large of a money stream, or feds would have went after him for tax evasion. Realistically, he charged his friends & associates (customers) for hookers. Not exactly 'crimes against humanity'. Sure many convicted of the same got a year or less sentence. -
Along with allowing the public to use, as most owners may be a work, so not charging. Really is loss opportunities. Especially in the metros, where condos and the need for more chargers is greater. When we go to BKK to visit daughter, we stop outside of, on hwy 35, and top up, if not and usually earlier Don't want to 'need' to top up in the city, and we usually need to stop anyway. Although we don't need to top up before we get to her condo or hotel. Just easier to plug in when we do stop, as that's inevitable before we get there, just for a P and a munch, since 285 kms & 4 ish hrs away.
-
Nah, not confused at all. But condos have options, you might not know about. It wouldn't cost condos anything to provide charging cables. No, not for individual owners, but maybe one DC w/2 cables, since only taking <1 hr to charge, most 30 minutes to top up weekly for local driving. Management could set up owners schedule slots. After that, 1st come 1st served. Although the way insurance companies at treating EV, price gouging of 'false' danger of, condos might not want to deal with increased insurance for public areas. Can't blame them. And really unnecessary, though would be convenient for EV owners. Now the minority, which will change, as will many condo policies, when EV start getting near the majority of vehicles. EV chargers available would be a good selling point for condos in the very near future. It would certainly sway my decision if looking to buy or rent a condo. One poster stating his condo doesn't even allow EV ... I smell BS

Whoa ... that's one sad A$$ pension, 22k THB a month, that doesn't even qualify for a marriage visa. Yea, you better hang out in AU. That's a no brainer, unless you just want to exist here in TH. Though, that seems like you're just existing in AU on that pittance. Good Luck.

I really do think the price war is just about over. Anything new, will be bigger battery and or faster charging. Or more silly bells & whistles people just don't need. BEV are already cheaper and perform better than entry level, 'made in TH' ICEV, and hybrids come in at the same price as import ICEV. Any more of a price war is simply cutting each other's throat. Less than 600k THB for good transport is a silly low price. There's even a nice BEV truck for <900k THB.
-
Elexa with partner with condos, and install charging cables for free. I've used Elexa at coffe shops & restaurants while O&A. People are running out of real reasons not to go BEV, though provide plenty of excuses. Performance & savings is too much of a reason for us, not to go BEV. The convenience of never going to the local petrol station every week, to pay extra, to degrade the engine parts pretty much tops everything. You waiting in line, to pay, to use a fuel that degrades your engine. Let that one sink in. And for us, it's a special trip, (3 kms) as the petrol station isn't in our usual daily drive. 15-20 mins a week vs 1 min a week ... hmm, let me think about that

Or charge at the Mall while shopping or the many Lotus's that have charging cables. Not being able to charge at home wouldn't be an issue for myself, as we're at Swensen's a couple times a month (2 for 1 Tuesdays) and that's at the Lotus's mall with has charging cables. At home, we rarely use the wall charger, and most charging is done with the granny / emergency charger, which plugs into any house outlet. Draws about the same as the microwave or oven, 2.3 kWh. Our solar won't handle the wall charger @ 7.4 kWh, so we rarely use it. 6 hrs of Solar charging supplies about 13kWh or 100 kms, and I drive 8-15 kms of unnecessary driving a day

I get called a right winger all the time, because I like Trump. Not his policies, just that he pissed everyone else off. I don't think I'm neither, left nor right, and think socialism & democracy can co-exist. Apparently I'm a very slight right leaning liberal, since believing in free market, and less social programs for employable people. https://aseannow.com/topic/1334208-where-do-you-place-yourself-politically/page/2/#findComment-19108512

Ms Googlw says you can get business visa & work permit using YT as your business, as long as you generate enough income to support yourself in TH. What they consider that amount is, I'm not sure. Visa for marriage is ฿40k a month, retirement ฿65k a month. I don't think some teachers make much more than ฿40k a month. My YT channel can be monetized, and YT informed of such. Have the subscriber numbers, but not really the constant views or hrs of, to make barely the minimum. so I don't bother. Only 1 vid generated high views. Although I do barely make 100 hrs a month of viewing, since that one dropped off. Along with, I just don't want to work and need to make new content, as the channel is really just for me. No desire to attract the attention of any taxman either, since not needing the money. My highest views, so nothing special, except the one. And the rest drop off fast. No target audience, as I'm all over the place, food, travel, drones, birds. Channel would only generate $100-$200 a month, by my calculation.

Report Phuket Cannabis Shops Raided in Major Regulatory Crackdown
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
That didn't take long, in the Gazette Wednesday, busted Wednesday -
You need a business visa, and a work permit. Just as important, you need a monetized YT channel. Which doesn't happen till you have 1000 subscribers. You could be incognito, but would need to qualify for visa. Need to be 50 yrs old, with some type of income, for visa for retirement. Guessing you are not 50 yrs old. LTR VISA & ELITE VISA which takes more money than most have or want to spend.

An agreed upon peace, instead of the now inevitable surrender with more loss of life on both sides. Personally, it think he's just holding on to power as long as possible (elections banned) until he can squirrel away millions more USD. He's an actor, a puppet of the EU, playing a president, while the generals do what they do, send others to die. All while 100's of billions are given to him.
