  1. Oh crap ... got Q'd up and ready to watch. Only got 2 movies, and I think I might have seen the other one already. Trailer looked familiar. Got 2 eps of 'Last of Us' , but like to wait till have the whole season, or at least half.
  2. On a guess, I'd say the victim knew his attacker, and it wasn't random at all. I've always felt safe, even out at night, though TBH, not out that much at night in touristy areas.
  3. Damn, got me beat. Knew wife #3 for 11 weeks before getting married. Realized in about 6 months, oops, so got divorced, even stayed together for maybe another 6 ish months. #1 & #2 were 2 years each. #1 lasted 2+ yrs, #2 only lasted 1 year. #4 was 8 yrs living together before married, and still together, for 19+ total. 2 live ins, moved in within a couple months of dating, then couple years together, before getting the boot. Nobody I know, knew, ever asked me for relationship advice. Go figure 🙄 Getting them was easy, keeping them, not so easy Strangely, all were mutual, no surprise endings, so a good thing. No real dramas. Lucky hearing some of the stories here. No kids or real assets to divide, so nothing really to fight over. Only one here, TH, was a bit of push & shove out the door. Not that she wanted to stay, she wanted to take sh!t with her.
  4. Patience grasshopper, it may happen to you. And when you least expect and not even looking
  5. I'm kind of surprise, and thought I was destined to be single, which would have been fine also. Though not sure about at my age now, as anyone my age, isn't as easy on the eyes, as the 20+ yr younger wife. 19+ yrs together ... shocking everyone that knows me, as I went through women fast, in between relationships. My brother use to razz me, when I showed up with a different face. He'd look past me and say ... "hey, is that different car" ... not letting the gal know, she probably won't be around next month
  6. I actually need the non dietary fiber in the corn flakes, as I don't eat a whole lot of carbs. Keep my intestinal track 'moving / exercising', along with slowing things down for the carbs I actually do eat. Since I switch my last snack to 'breakfast', I'm a lot more regular. Actually missed my cereal & fruit, as I stopped eating it for breakfast. Was eating cheesecake, cashews & cheese, etc for last snack, but a bit too much saturated fat in my diet, since cutting carb intake down so much. Get enough fats & protein in the awake hours of munching.
  7. Guess it all depends on the student, but it came natural to me & my buddy. Instructor was quite happy about that, as after 2nd dive, he taught us a couple other things. 1 st dive, tested buoyancy control, no prob. 2nd dive, he had us take all the gear, drop all to the sand, no mouthpiece in for 30 secs, then put back on. At that point, he realized we didn't need any hand holding. Took us to a small, open-ish wreck, and purposely tangle our one leg, unexpectedly. Test our panic mode. He got bored, 3rd & 4th dive, so taught us better navigation, which came in real handy. 5th & 6th dive (5 needed), and vis was getting real bad on 5th one. He said if you want, you're done & certified, come back again for 2 dives, instead of going back in now for 6th. We weren't going to be around, so we went back in for #6. Should have listened to him, as vis went to near 0. With a slight current. Me & my buddy got split up kind of fast, and both surfaced immediately. Got back together, back down, and navigated back to the boat. Instructor thought for sure, he'd have to come pick us up. I was surprised myself that what he taught us actually worked. Swimming blind looking at your compass ain't the best feeling underwater. Half way through the dive, we did pop back up to check our bearings, to his relief. Then when we took an advanced course at a different shop, we didn't learn anything new. and learned it in the 'open water' course. So that instructor took us to a couple challenging site, and an awesome deep wall @ Puerto Rico. One of our best dives along with a night dive there. Lucky to have a great instructor, for book and pool learning, NJ, USA. And a few in the class/pool didn't pass. Then referred our dives to warm water FL, USA. On topic, we, me, have never dove with any incompetent divers, or instructors, that I noticed teaching, though rare on those type trips. Seen plenty of vids of idiots though. If I can't dive my computer, I don't use them. If the say 20 or 30 mins down time, then back up. I just ignore them, I don't do set time limits. I dive with a spare air anyway.
  8. OP went a bit over my head also. Not sure what is being asked. Although I find it strange adults need dating advice. They're the opposite (or same) sex, and not much different here than the rest of the world. And (posted many times), don't think you want any advice from me, 5 long term (marriages / live ins) that ended. 6th one was a keeper, and after 8 yrs living together, what the hell, rolled the dice and married her.
  9. Early dinner and on a salad kick this week. Yesterday was usual underneath, topped with salami, cheddar & salsa. Tonight, paired with pork tenderloin ... Usual suspects underneath; 3 lettuces, tomato, onion, R/G peppers, carrot. This one topped with orange & parmesan.
  10. No bullying involved, just offering a way to end it, before the USA, stops supporting UA. And if wanting any other help, for whatever, defense or rebuilding, it won't be free. Take or leave it. It's Europe's problem now, as it always should have been. USA should have never got involved in the first place. You're on your own now ... Good Luck
  11. Apparently they think the housing market is going to take a hit, especially the condo market, possibly because of the quake hysteria. Along with an economic slowdown, if tariff issue isn't resolved. Who knows how many mortgages they already have in default, and just cutting any future losses. Seems smart to me
  12. My daughter drank a bit too much alcohol, once, like 15/16 yrs old, and her friend called me and said, I might want to come get her That one time was enough, and she doesn't drink alcohol at all. Also saw how it affected her uncles, other members of birth family and village families / relationships. Thankfully she learned early and something I didn't have to worry about when she went to Uni. Other Uni students, with new found freedom and influences, chose poorly, and did lots of alcohol & drugs. Her circle of friends were more into learning and making money. All paid off for them. Even had a band and she use to sing on the weekends at night market. Little entrepreneurs before even leaving Uni.
  13. It's the potato, sugar spike, dopamine spike, quickly wears off, the 'crash', and like a junkie, your brain tells you need more.
  14. Eat more, till you body tells you, enough already. Carbs / sugar are addicting, and the release of dopamine while eating keeps you eating. Why they add sugar & salt to junk food. I seem to fill up quickly with fats & protein. Carbs, example, pasta, potatoes (fries), chips/crisps, Doritos, bakery/pastries, and all things high in sugar and or added sugar, and why so hard to stop, with a supposed recommended, silly small, 'serving size'. I used to each a whole tube of Pringles while watching torrents ... ... "A serving size of Pringles typically contains about 15 crisps, which equates to 28 gram" ... That's 4 servings in the 110gr tube ...
  15. Also been making kefir milk for a while now. Added water kefir to the kefir regiment, and actually prefer it. Almost the only water I drink now, and supposedly more beneficial than milk kefir, and easier. Keep a steady rotation of first (foreground bottles) and 2nd fermentation (taller bottles).
  16. Remember 'Reefer Madness' being shown in HS, social development class, as a documentary. Even the teacher got a laugh out of it. Apparently force curriculum, as all us pot heads quite enjoy the chuckle. Trying to pass that off as some type of documentary. Sad, as then the warnings about harder drugs: alcohol, meth & heroin, are ignored, since lied about one, why believe anything else they state. Especially alcohol, as the entry drug to all the rest among my friends & peers. Luckily my parents were stone Alkys, and seeing the negative effects on their lives, overflowing to mine, sort of showed me, that's one drug to avoid. Only a weekend warrior, which diminished to a monthly warrior as I got older. To no real interest at all now.
  17. berries are very nutritious, and low on the GI. Not a fan of the fresh here, especially the strawberries. Taste wise or pricing. Fresh berries turn too fast. Fz strawberries @ Makro are only ฿99 / kg Eat plenty of fresh local fruit, when in season. Some not pairing well with corn flakes 🙄
  18. Frozen @ Makro ... ฿219 / 1 kg
  19. I eat a lite snack, every night, at about 8 pm. Consist of about 35 gr corn flakes (mostly non dietary fiber), 75 gr of blueberries, 100ml of whole milk. That fills the void, till I fall asleep around midnight +/-, till black coffee when I wake, then first meal of eggs (protein & fat) around noon. Followed by a walk in the park or surfside. Afterwards, I eat whatever and whenever I want, till about 6 pm, usually before 5 pm. If I don't eat that lite snack at 8 pm, then it's hard not to snack on something before midnight, that will screw up my overnight intermittent fast.
  20. They usually ask (in Thai) 'do you have a member card' ... if you don't understand what they said, before they start to ring you up, simply say 'no or mai' ... as I do, and they always issue me a receipt. They also give me the little 'one baht coupons' to use in the future for a discount. At least fake like you understand what they say, use 'mai krup' instead of 'no' when asked. Then they'll treat you like a Thai or long term expat, instead of an idiot tourist, with that blank expression and no reply to a simple question. Unless I suspect a discrepancy, it gets filed in the bin, just outside the door.
  21. I don't trust organizations the have millions, if not billions of $$$ given to them, that ignore alternative treatments vs expensive big pharma recommendations. Just a little common sense, and yes, due diligence on one's own research, before subjecting yourself to vaccines, drugs, approved or experimental that have known side effects. Money corrupts ... remember, these are some of the same folks, that stated 'safe & effective', 'masks work' & 'men can be women'
  22. They do get a bit silly at times. I've got hundreds of underwater photos, and didn't damage or touch any coral. If wanting to get a very low photo, easy to avoid standing on anything, simply invert yourself, as I've done that many times when there wasn't any sand to stand, kneel or lay on. I don't touch anything down there, as it may kill you. Especially these guys .. You should even wear hard bottom water shoes when at the beach. As you don't want to get poked by a Cone Snail. Rare, but some can be found in shallow beach waters.
  23. Or infants & children. Especially when those under the age of 50, have low risk of death when infected with covid. Actually, everyone has a low risk of death, after infected with covid. Covid deaths by age (USA) https://www.statista.com/statistics/1191568/reported-deaths-from-covid-by-age-us/
  24. Treating a disease after infection, is a bit different than subjecting yourself to a vaccine that may or may not work. Or worse, have a higher risk to cause health issues, including death, than they supposedly are taken to prevent said disease, that your immune system more likely will fight on it's own. Rabies prophylaxis after infection is a proven treatment, unlike so many other vaccines. More Apples & Oranges comparisons. As already stated, you're deflecting. Note the rabies vaccine / prophylaxis, is not on the list in the OP.
  25. One really does have to question the intelligence of anyone, using the labels of 'nazi, fascist, dictator' towards anyone in the USA. Really does only show their ignorance and prejudice of certain people, and simply a projection of their mental illness. You can't fix stupid
