  1. I assumed biden used an executive order for the ban, but, pointed out he did not. Which exposes the 'deep state' once again, as I don't believe any thinks biden can remember where he was when he ate his last breakfast, let alone, remembering and enacted a decades old law. Win win for Trump & myself, as when oil & gas companies use it to raise prices, which will raise inflation, Trump gets to blame biden & the dems, and I get a higher COLA
  2. Just symbolic gesture. Most nobody cares about, and hopefully, in the future, the world won't be so dependent of fossil fuels (oil & gas) anyway ... ... "Most of the newly-protected territory is not particularly appealing to the oil industry, at least right now. That's led some to dismiss this move as merely symbolic." ... More just exposing the 'deep state', and not good for them. Which in the minds of most folks, will equate to getting screwed again, and think future high gas prices. Which when happens, President Trump gets to blame it Biden & the dems ... win for Trump. Which of course, the oil companies will use as an excuse to raise prices If people weren't such idiots, they'd have Solar Systems & BEVs. https://www.npr.org/2025/01/06/nx-s1-5249765/biden-offshore-drilling-ban
  3. It is a Gulf located in N. America, that borders 3 countries Don't think anyone cares what it's called, as think most locals simply call it 'the Gulf'.
  4. We're not in HH, but 100 kms south of, and I wouldn't expect to pay more than ฿2k per meter, ฿3k max, and only 4 (?) yrs since we had ours built. That was, 2m high & 60 meters @ 80k = ฿1334 per and high price at the time.
  5. 2 meters high, 1 linear meter, and I'd expect to pay ฿1500-฿2000 per, sealed & painted. Not including a gate or entry doorway. Anything more than ฿440k is a silly rip off price. IMHO & experience. Wall at 1st house is 23 yrs old, still standing. 2nd house, 14 yrs old, still standing.
  6. Not exactly in the garden, but snap from the garden. A couple Common Flameback - Dinopium javanense.
  7. I have no boundaries to free speech, expression of 'opinions'. @FritsSikkink TH & USA, the 2 that I referenced are NOT on the list of tyrannical, freedom restricting countries in your link. So you've shown me NO facts, that I requested for enlightenment. Simply verifying my facts, that free speech exists in TH. If you banned bigotry speech ... AN wouldn't exist
  8. The Deep State, biden's puppeteers have completely lost it. Pardons, and now this, drilling ban. With the swipe of the pen, Trump will void the ban. They are just alienated themselves even more from the public. Exposing themselves to the reality of their total control that they've exerted over politicians. They really do think everyone is a moron ... UP THE REVOLUTION ...
  9. That does make sense. Though Mexico still has the most dominant coastline, in length. About 100 kms more than USA, and Cuba having <400 kms of coastline with the Gulf.
  10. Yes, something about waking up before and seeing the sun rise, just makes for a better day. Rare that I don't naturally wake up for, without an alarm clock, and I rarely go to sleep before midnight.
  11. That many consider it racist, and many don't agree with what he stated, including myself, knowing more than a few fine looking mamas, certainly does not mean he doesn't have the right to state his opinion.
  12. Please enlighten me with some facts, and not your opinion. I understand the law perfectly. And AI seems to point that out. Unfortunately, I explained it to you, but I can't make you understand it.
  13. I didn't ignore them, or cut the part out that states there are some. The restriction are irrelevant to what was said, and he has the right, the freedom to express his opinion. That you disagree with that right, doesn't negate it, simply means your implication that it's not allowed, is wrong. Now you know, and happy to enlighten you ... time to move on. Have a nice day
  14. It's called free speech. Sad you don't understand it, or maybe not allowed to exercise it, where you come from. Even in TH ...
  15. "Alice finally contacted a friend to inform them she was in Phetchaburi province." https://thethaiger.com/news/national/missing-thai-woman-found-after-six-days-following-abduction-claim
  16. I did state 'I personally know', and yea, it was probably the needle, as he, my cousin, died shortly after getting his booster, of a very rare ailment that doesn't run in our family.
  17. I like the ones that are all 'drag'd up', standing in the middle of Bangla Rd, fanning themselves with a piece of cardboard. Then a tourist comes up an askes, "mind if I take your photo?" , OK , then afterwards, turns the cardboard around and it states "PHOTOS 100 BAHT"
  18. So no follow up, from family or PoPo. Are PoPo even looking for her or took a missing person report from any relatives ? Or do the PoPo know where she is ? Anyone tell the relatives and or, do they even care or concerned ? Or already know where she is, again, in PoPo custody ? If you Google her name, the only info available, is this thread
  19. "she confronted the man and asked him to leave" ... can't ask someone to leave a public area. "After he walked away towards a nearby public toilet, she followed" ... could have avoided further issues, if he didn't follow him. Oh well ... such drama
  20. Thalang is abut 30 kms away and can take an hour to get there from Patong. It's a Bolt ride, so the fare is known before they even get in. Who books a taxi and doesn't have money to pay for it ? Along with riding around looking and waiting an exchange or ATM, the driver is missing opportunity for another fare. Though should have, if he didn't, stated the charge to drive, wait, and return them to where ever, before hand. Violence is an over the top response, no matter.
  21. Rough crowd ... though the story does lack details. The 'wife & family' comment does leave a bit to speculate about Outside our walled yard, our dog is never off the leash, for her own safety. Even inside the wall, I'll recon around the house, to ensure no snakes, before letting her out to P. 2nd house wasn't walled, and I had to walk her on a leash in our yard, as she'd chase after anything that moves.
  22. Every relationship is transactional. Possibly even one's first love interest. There's always an end game, goal to reach, and what you'll do (prostitute yourself) to get it. You just have to decide if it's worth it. Why I quit so many jobs, 30+, as they didn't pay me enough to lower myself to their expectations of a life the low salary would provide. Sorry, I deserve more. It's also why so many marriages fail now, as it's socially acceptable to be divorced. Lots of sex while dating, but once married, and the 'lifelong contract' is publicly officialized, then both side fall into ... "well, I don't need to do that as much or anymore, because, I have a contract" Just like jobs, why I'm on #6, long term, live in relationship. Along with can't eve count how many short term relationships. My one ex wife told me, "I go through women, faster than she goes through batteries"
  23. Bangla rd and the P4P scene is easily avoidable on Phuket and at Patong beach. Guess you missed ... "and around Phuket a little fishing" Although others may simply enjoy the festive atmosphere and people watching. Nothing forces you to engage in P4P, especially if with a partner.
