  1. Already joined NATO, soon the EU, translate to over taxed nanny state ... and ... they have earthquakes. It's not a country it's a city with countryside. Way too small, just a bit bigger than Massachusetts, 28,748 km2 and <3M population. About 60% Islam ... I'll offend someone, and need my bacon NO THANKS

    Disgusted

Why I love living rural and we don't even visit cities and stay on the edge of, if that, when O&A. Only city we go is to see daughter @ Krung Thep, and usually 1 night of late. Very few convenient green areas, and none allow dogs, usually, not matter how large they. And the few green areas there are, they're packed with people. Been to Patts a few times, and it's just too congested for us, cars & people. As are most place. Getting around is annoying and forget parking, unless on a motorbike, and we have a very short SUV, bit shorter than our Mazda 2 sedan was.
  3. The rating is pretty irrelevant for me, as I won't be driving through any water higher than the lowest rubber on the tire, if that. Made that mistake before with POS Vios, and had to replace the "unsealed' wheel bearings. As long as the casing resists the spray of a rain covered road, that's plenty for me. No submersion, no pressure.
  4. Married ... I like quiet, although if single, I'd still have a bit of fun here People person that I am ... well, not on the forum. Still get the smiles when chit chattin' with the ladies.
  5. That's not the upgraded ZS, but pre-2022, easy from the front grill ... Earlier post, though I didn't note where I sourced it from. EDIT: Hard to believe, I actually found the source, that took some searching These below are what popped up w/G search:
  6. Love where I live, love the house (custom built for us), love living rural, 5 minutes from everything/town/surf/hills. 10 mins from Imm if doing 90 day in person, and I'm usually the only one there. Same as Will, save about ฿70k a month, due to all paid for, having EVs & solar, . Only monthly bill is water <฿200, car insurance & feeding ourselves. All <฿10k and want for nothing. Only addition expenses is hotels during O&A, with a bit of EV charging at 1/3 the cost of petrol, on our last outing.
  7. Really ... well ain't I special, IP69K & encased in steel ❤️ Sounds like a keeper.
  8. Will you all please get the last word in, as this is almost an interesting thread ... was. I saw the OP, replied, then actually started reading, the now ever growing thread. If you all are done with the handbads at 10 paces, it might be worth revisiting. Finish up, would you ...
  9. He'd appreciate a steak more ...
  10. Really .... my brother use to race them back in suburbia Philly, PA, USA. They do that/race them here ? Then he couldn't as got a lung infection from them, after many years. So gave it up. Funny as I never understood has infatuation with them (they used to bet on them), then I picked up wildlife photography (mostly birds) and posted photos of pigeons & doves, and that gave him a chuckle.
  11. About the same, though scratch the 'handyman' stuff. Sunrise & coffee, with same chuckle & trolling AN. Yesterday was dog to park & Makro run, as out of veggies since O&A Made a Japanese Curry the day before Again, yesterday, made tortilla Make Kefir everyday, just strain the grains. Daily walk at the park, before first meal, before noon. Sit on veranda in afternoon, w/dog & pastry, then later afternoon, prep dinner. Lot of photo editing from being O&A Back on internet in between all those 'tasks' (dog, shopping, cooking) ... continue trolling AN ... talk with daughter ... think about next O&A ... did my 90 day online while O&A, as due Tues, already approved ... plan a couple local O&A, <100kms Hit our favorite restaurant at Ban Krut on the way back up from our southern O&A. Need to pop into our favorite the other direction, a bit before Sam Roi Yot Nat. Park Someone posted about a village I haven't been to yet, and gets the weekend Thais there, so might be interesting. Out in Nakhon Nowhere, so maybe a few new birds to photograph. Along a stream, so might even have water, hopefully.
  12. Healthy leftover brekkie, that 'whole foods thingy' ... Homemade tortilla Egg cooked in Olive oil Salmon was cooked in Peanut oli Drizzle of Siracha Side of Natto & Kefir All after the (Vit D) stroll at the park w/dog
  13. those links not working, this 'link' to LAZ XIAOMI Who we ordered ours from and COD, with no issues. link for air purifiers
  14. I believe you are very mistaken (source) Photo from above source: Although Tesla has only been around for about 10 years and only produced / sold 31,655 cars in 2014 (source)
  15. You think ... ... or start a thread to complain about being caught & cited for speeding. Bastards ... May the enforcement continue 👍
  16. Or you could just replace the faulty module. If the car can't keep up with the battery pack & motors, they can be sold/repurposed. Pack for solar systems back up storage. Already being done. How many times does it have to be repeated. What don't you people understand ? I'm starting to think a good portion of the AN members are senile and suffering a bit of, or a lot of Alzheimer's / dementia.
  17. @Jake72 forget the link ... enlighten yourself Class is over ... now go away
  18. Decades ago, when trusting the damn faulty fuel gauges ... ... that's my story and I'm sticking to it Once in TH ... although, not technically, as that's how you learn what the little toggle switch is for on the MB
  19. Bastard ... Should have taken the sink drains also ...
  20. I think you need to work on your Thai, as wife agrees with this translation: She's not allowed to have friends ...
  21. I tried to sell 2 Toyotas and 1 Mazda (ICEVs) to the dealers, and they didn't want them ... what does that say ? And no price was even mentioned, they just didn't want them, and tent people barely offered the insured price, on the Toyotas. Gave the Mazda to the daughter, since not worth selling. And yet, my 1.5 yr old EV, is insured for more that a new one (when on sale), plus 40k baht. And only 1/2% off our purchase price, when not on sale. Not that we would ever sell it, as the battery pack would be worth more added to our solar system, than if sold as a car, 20 yrs down the line.
