  1. There's more than a couple markets @ soi 72, not counting the 'day' market
  2. HH Night Market @ soi 72 Car parking in HH ... good luck with that
  3. I'm pretty sure I've had the Nana burger, if memory serves, and usually does. Definitely had the 2 that I posted about, and the one at Betong, I enjoyed 10 days ago. Not everyone stays in their '15 minute city' ... Here's a much better photo of the Nana Burger: So hot ... the cheese didn't melt yet. Taste depends a lot on how hungry, or how drunk one is. If same, decent burger though, and close to Ibis, where we have stayed, too many times.
  4. Which one, as there's a few, not counting the ones at Nong Kae south of the hwy 4 RR pver pass. Gmap will help with ball park times.
  5. It's a service of convenience, pay for or don't, but don't complain, and still use constantly. It is definitely convenient and possibly cheaper if living in Krung Thep and want something particularly, especially if anywhere close to rush hour, an all you have is a car. Or get your lazy butt down on the street and pick something up, surely there three 7-11s within walking distance, if not near a street vendor soi. Can even pick up an almost cold beer ... all on the cheap. Never had a problem when there and using, just too easy, and well worth the small charge. Though do prefer to order direct from vendor, and last time I did, they added 40 baht delivery charge anyway. Petrol is ฿38+/-, and not like you CCs are tipping ... as most Thais don't.
  6. NO ... as thought the same thing. Looked OK, but best ... nah, and I'm a Yank. We could use a updated Burger thread, for those not partial to Thai food when out & about, away from Bangkok, as plenty of options there. If happen to be down my way, this is one of the best around, and sets up at the weekend night market, surfside, unless ordered early, their will be a Q: If happen to be at Betong, Yala, not sure about best, but best value for sure, maybe all TH. Burger Bar, double beef burger, all of ฿104:
  7. Pattaya & world class in the same sentence, always gives me a chuckle. And yes, been there enough times to make that assessment.
  8. Haven't road the scooter in a while, a bit hot, but car is charging, so took scooter for my 8.8 kms ride to the park and back, for our daily walk. Diesel ... that is one disgusting fuel. Came back smelling of, on clothes and had to washed my face & arms. How that fuel is even legal is mind boggling ...
  9. Wow ... flying out of the showroom ...
  10. Anyone on Lanta recently. Almost hopped over there myself recently, but remembered I wasn't too impressed with the beaches, though long time ago, and possibly off season, as remember it was raining quite a bit. So much so, we left and went to Phuket, for a whole week of sunny skies & good surf. So must not have been too 'off season', as at the time, had to be school break, Mar/Apr/early May or Sept/early Oct. Never had bad surf on Phuket while there at those times, well, not enough to keep me out of it.
  11. 5 ... I think you're buddy is misinformed. As I'm in Nakhon Nowhere, and have hip issue, and doc suggested I talk to local doc, for a titanium hip replacement. I hear India is the place to go for Hip Replacement, but then I hear TH is the place to go for dental work, and I wouldn't recommend that to anyone from the USA.
  12. I'm not spending $50k for any 4 wheels, as the price of a house in my world. Have to wait till one of my brothers hits Powerball (I stopped playing), and throws me a $1M bone
  13. That's about it. Really low range spec, if taking it down to 20% / 80% usable, that 240 kms is now 192 kms, and surely tested on a flat road, perfect condition, with no load ... 😲 Now load that baby up, with a few adults ( "240-kilometre range and 1000kg payload" ), and by the time you get off road, and set up, what ever, maybe camping, you need a charging station. No prob:
  14. No mention of heart attack in news-blip ... ... but I'm confuses, was he wading or swimming. So did the ganga cause the coma, or simple exposure to the seawater at Patt's beach ...
  15. From link ... "Cheap and simple" New definition of cheap/affordable, low spec'd EV (range 240 kms) ... ... and only ... X2 if every imported to TH from 2 yr old news-blip:
  16. The BS was plucked from a Thai FB page ... nuff said
  17. Y'all grammar PoPo b up in that sh!t. Ain't no ting, if b understood, b nuff. Chill dog ... word ... peace out
  18. Fake news ... as when has a Thai doc, ever tested for any suspected infection ... ... here's your script for antibodies, if not cleared up in 2 weeks, come back.
  19. Whoa ... I guess more that a few Thais realize ... "you get what you pay for" Less than 400k and that's all they can sell
  20. Over 3 yrs of inflation, and prices might by higher ... ... who would have thought ... especially with the price of jet fuel compared to early 2020 ...
  21. As are a bunch of other symptoms. Along with, a discharge could also be caused by many things.
  22. Have you considered an 11 yr old boy, on FB, stating he has an 18 yr old girl friend, might be a slight embellishment, if it happened at all, which I highly doubt. I await the next news-blip about the foreigner that has had enough of TH, and left, only to return, since his GF begged & cried so much, that the right thing to do was come back ...
  23. On what planet does anyone have the right to force a test or treatment on anyone. He refused a test, so what. You can't treat what hasn't been diagnosed. And no mention of parents or guardian, as how is an 11 yr old admitted to hospital or seen be a doc. FB pages are now the source of news-blips ... "As the Facebook page continues to share such narratives"
  24. Definitely agree with first part, as I'd only get my protein from eggs & seafood, if had to kill it myself. I've butchered deer, but my brother killed it, as no way could I do it. Although, if having a proper rifle, I think I'd get over killing a steer or a pig. As long as I didn't name it Chickens are too much hassle to pluck. Killed a goose, and gave up, someone else had to finish it. Ain't worth the hassle to me. Raising, organically, old style doesn't take much resources at all. But mass producing is a whole another industrial complex, for better profit margin. Hence the amount of resources needed. Home on the farm, they graze, they grow, but not to today's market standard. Fruits & veggies can be quite the trial & error to master. We get a few things right at the house, but other fail miserably. Definitely need a greenhouse, or chemicals, which we won't use, hence the greenhouse, and a large one at that.
