  1. I don't read sites behind a pay wall, or that require me to turn off ad blocker, or like your site, need to register w/my email or pay. I don't pay to read MSM drivel. Leave that to the sheeple.
  2. @Aforek if non Thai, you can not own the land the house sits on. So would (legally) need to be sold and or transferred, within one year to a 'trusted' Thai. Why my daughter's name is on all house paperwork, w/the wife's and beneficiary on wife's will. As is my wife on daughter's will. All sorted with wills. No lawyers needed unless you don't trust the people involved. Usufructs & wills are quite easy to register without lawyers. I/we've done numerous times.
  3. That's IO office location dependent. Hua Hin accepts Gmaps. I even just submit a map from house to 'local' Imm office (11 kms away), not the one I'm doing extension at (HH/100 kms away), and is accepted
  4. Owning an overpriced Leaf wouldn't be my choice. But if the rest of our ZS can't keep up with the longevity of the battery pack or motors, I'm pretty sure I know what the wife will do with the battery pack. By that time, they'll probably have a simple, inexpensive 'plug & play' adapter units available ...
  5. PEA may be doing an customer survey to find out who has solar, if meter reading fluctuates, hi/lo monthly readings. Meter reader asked wife why 'last' month was so low, when reading today's higher reading of 60 units. Ask if we were out of town, which wife answered honestly to, yes. What the reader should have asked, considering our use, "why is this month higher than previous? " Because we topped up the car from 9%-100% I would have told the reader that this is our holiday, surfside-ish home, and we have another at Krung Thep. Strange query to begin with, as installer of meter, asked if we have solar, and informed we did ... hmm. We were getting a digital meter anyway, as all new builds in the area do. He may have noticed the temp meter for the build, (w/low reading) was replaced by another 'temp' meter (?), also with low reading, until new meter (digital) was available for us, 2 weeks later. Noticing still low reading in those 2 weeks, or just a standard question now with meter installations.
  6. An ESS takes up little space, and can hang on a wall, no different than a painting or AC unit. We have 20kWh of ESS hanging on our interior wall, and takes up dead space we don't need to use for anything else. We could easily bolt our EV's battery pack above the TV in our bedroom now, and that's dead space not being used now. Why do people create problems that don't exist ?
  7. You may want to reconsider that. "Even though salt curing and/or pickling processes do have a partial killing effect on parasitic worms, their destruction is often not complete and is not adequate for parasite control."
  8. You might want to post something that people can actually read. Though reading the link, only an idiot would thing CC is not real. MMCC/GW is the hoax, and most intelligent people realize that already. People I know anyway, not sure about the others.
  9. I'm living proof that you are wrong.

  11. My day is complete. Don't know how I'd make it through without that news. So unfortunate, how could such a thing happen, it's so rare Can we start a "go fund' for the family, maybe fund a scholarship in is honor.
  12. This is fairly accurate. Google biden & blinken w/Uni of Penn. Slight exaggeration on pay. https://www.facebook.com/reel/913823136749254
  13. I've only eaten it here at a few select places. I see it all the time at fresh & night markets, sitting out, usually not covered. Since not something I will microwave at home, I give it a pass. Always looks tempting, then common sense kicks in. Any other cooked meats I buy at fresh/night markets are fresh off the grill. Not a fan of buying anything already on display, unless getting reheated at home. I'm probably overly cautious, most of the time, but has worked so far.
  14. Humans have the ability to learn and think for themselves. Whether or not you utilize that ability is UP2U That's a choice, and many more choices after that one, if you choose. If not ... oh well. Entrust your life to someone else, and live with the consequences, if YOU choose to. You can't fix stupid
  15. Lucky you ... as mine is 100 kms / ~1.5 hrs away ... ... once a year won't kill me, and gives me a day, a munch out @ Hun Hin.
  16. To the title ... I'm at a loss to how that is a thing, for anyone. Adding tomato sauce to something that already has as a main ingredient/flavoring. Not just pizza, and seems many add tomato sauce to most western food. I rarely use tomato sauce on foods that it's traditionally used on. I consider it the easiest & best way to ruin most things. Especially the way some folks just smother their food with it. Same with plain mayo ... not a big fan of either.
  17. I'm more of ... people make wrong choices in life. If you rely on America (USA govt) for your survival, then you simply planned to fail, since not having your own plan for independence. Relying on others is usually being a let down. A lesson most should have learned as a teen or earlier.
  18. Always someone else's fault. If you can't afford the payment schedule, don't accept the loan. Learn how to live within your means. If you can't pay cash (except house purchase), then you probably can't afford to buy it now. Uncommon common sense.
  19. I finding the price difference a little hard to believe. Simply because Samui has to fly or ferry everything in, and with less competition for home rentals/purchases, as Phuket is so much larger. Does get one thing correct ... "does not have enough data to calculate difference". Would not be surprised if a few business owners didn't supply a bit of 'slanted' info to lure customers to the island/Samui.
  20. Give her the divorce, before she wants money. Never complicate simple things. Be happy it's behind you.
  21. I rarely read all the posts, especially if more than 10. Usually read last post (enter forum on 'new content'). Might read the OP, or just reply to the title. Avoids a lot of 'drivel' and keyboard 'handbag slinging' I think many do the same, so incase they missed your post, they got the info from mine JIC they didn't know, but thought the frozen thing was common knowledge, as should be for people that eat sushi. Why would you not research what you are eating, especially raw.
  22. Why not, it's simply too easy to do. Same as OP, not paying someone to submit my paperwork, when I can do it myself, usually less than 1 hr ... 2 hrs max. Spend that 'fee' on something I actually want. Don't need to spend it on saving time, as I have plenty of that.
  23. For the prices some restaurants charge, I don't expect to leave and be hungry by the time I get home or within the hour. Sad when you leave a restaurant, then hit a BK for a Whopper within a hour of. Here/TH, most times you get what you pay for, with those <100 baht plates/bowls of food. Been impressed a few times, but usually takes 2 items off the menu for a meal, if not 3, unless just snacking, which most serving sizes are.
