Chinese Couple Arrested in Pattaya for Lewd Public Photo Shoot
KhunLA replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
Checked that one off ... ... now, moving down that 'bucket list' 👍 Can't say I haven't done the same, though a lot more discreet than that. On a Patts walkway ... nah, not on any of my lists -
I'm low tech and can't afford that fancy mug. Drink my first cup, while 2nd cup is still filtering. Use French press, then passes through paper filter. First cup fills up fast, 2nd a bit slower, and needs a reheat in the microwave. Drink them down while catching up on the world, and trolling AN, while being entertained. Get my morning comic relief, almost all in one place, before moving over to real news and educational vid programming

Got me beat, as actually weighed my morning cup, 425ml. Rarely drink coffee after 1200 hrs. 28 oz = 828ml

If lucky enough to even have a balcony or a window to look out I suspect many don't, considering how cheaply they tells us they can live on. Apparently a decent condo would take half their income, saving the other half for cans of Archer & fags. Livin' the Dream, although TH does seem a better choice than some cold and damn council dwelling

I did an edit, before your post. If a scholar, then he should know not to 'share' false info. Doesn't matter if he wrote or not, he shared it, supposedly. He'll have his day in court. Held without bail is a bit much, as simply taking his passport would have sufficed. But then, it wouldn't have made the press, and an example must be made I know what I'm talking about, thank you. I'm not an official 'scholar', but know to tread lightly with my opinions

A darker roast coffee might not be acidic or as caffeinated. Along with amount you're drinking. See earlier post about what your 'cup' size is. @Mason45 As suggested, dehydration, especially if sipping a few beers also in you daily routine.

Why would I want to eat brekkie out, or sit in a bar. Never had a brekkie out that I couldn't prepare better myself. Without the need to shower and prep to go out in public. Have a better view from my dining table than most restaurants and bars, unless they are surfside or high on a hill with a view. Same goes for a bar, and last place you'd find me, sipping a few, whether in the USA or TH. Saying that, I did enjoy my brew pub time, quite often when living in Memphis, TN, USA area. But it was a really nice pub, in house brewery with excellent view and nice setting. Once a week was enough though. Added plus, I rode my bicycle to it, and return trip was all downhill But to eat 2 or 3 brekkies out or sit in a bar 2 or 3 times a week, NO THANKS, boring. Only not having a decent kitchen would necessitate dining out.

Should a fridge or freezer at a restaurant have a breaker?
KhunLA replied to ubonr1971's topic in The Electrical Forum
At temp, frigs and especially freezers draw very little electric. Even in a busy restaurant they wouldn't draw that much. -

When you only drank 'a cup' of coffee in the morning, was there the same issue. Later statement is now '3 to 4 cups', which would be a considerable difference. Also, what do you consider a cup of coffee; 50ml, 150ml 300ml 400ml or more 8 oz / 237ml (cup) 12 oz / 355ml Myself, my morning cup is ~400ml

I guess if you live in these provinces, it's not an issue. But does someone have to notify them in advance for the extra coverage. I don't see Bangkok listed ... "These provinces are Phetchabun, Nakhon Sawan, Nakhon Ratchasima, Amnat Charoen, Nong Bua Lamphu, Sing Buri, Phang Nga, and Sa Kaeo. The expansion is a result of the NHSO board’s meeting on February 21, which acknowledged the positive outcomes of the phase-one pilot in four provinces - Phrae, Roi Et, Phetchaburi, and Narathiwat"

At a guess, since registered out of the area, she wasn't cover for the procedure at that hospital. So yea, upfront payment is quite standard. After stabilizing her, also at a guess, considering the price point, they probably wanted to place a stent, to open the blood vessel up. My wife had elective surgery, and over the phone, had her coverage changed from Nong Bua LamPhu to Prachuap Khiri Khan. Seemed easy enough, but TBH, not sure how long that took. I think just during the phone call. Her ID was already changed, so may have made it easier, quicker to do. If OP's incident happened over the weekend, and stent was required right away, then oops, yea, should have changed her coverage area a long time ago. Moral of story ... have your Thai partner check their coverage area, and keep current. In an emergency, will save you a few baht. Also paying to 'jump the queue' is quite standard also, though technically, it may not be 'jumping' the queue, but simply paying for 'off duty hours' service. Either before or after regulate work hours. I paid that myself as the Q was months long, and I wanted it done ASAP, and was done a week later.

No problem, I wasn't judging, just stating a fact. I've referred to myself as a sexpat many times, when single. Got here at 45 yrs old, so the gap then was wide, so younger gals still smiling with me. 70 now, so don't think I'd be very desirable to the under 30 gals now. Sex addict ... guilty your honor

Meet the Thailand dolls! Which one are you ?
KhunLA replied to CharlieH's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Yep, marry a Yank on his last leg, have his baby, or at least on the birth certificate, and the wee one (wife) gets Soc Sec till the kid is 19, if stays in Uni ... I think. Actually more than what some expats live on per month. That would be 60+k THB, a month, in my case, that a kid would get. Not too shabby at all, since I get a wee bit more than average Yank on SS. Definitely need the chain smoking expat pushing the stroller on soi 6, while popping in for morning beers -

That will never happen. Israel is the 'extended' US military in the middle east. Expensive, but doesn't cost US service folks lives. As much as I hate supporting Israel, it does save Yanks. Iran will be dealt with soon enough, and should calm things down in that area for a decade or so. Trump bitch slapped Yemen, and Iran took the hint, and decided to chill for awhile.
