  1. Better wait till the 9th Nov ... hear that's a lucky #.
  2. Probably not enough tooth left to hold filling. Had same issue with a molar. 2 choices, yank it for ฿1k, or root canal & crown (~฿17k). Still have 28 other teeth and @ 68 yrs old, didn't really need .... yanked it. If not enough tooth for RC & Crown, then implant ... ฿40-50k & up depending where done.
  3. MedSafe fan myself. Have also used MedTide. Along with local pharmacy, and simply go with which ever is cheaper or more convenient (if at local pharmacy for same ish price). Medsafe on FB, and order through messenger. Just ask if they have & price. Quick responses & shipping. Bank transfer payment, very easy. If @ Krung Thep, they also have a brick & mortar shop. If not a FB fan, they have email & ph# contact, and prefer to correspond in English.: 080 057 5113 [email protected]
  4. Mind boggling the amount of ignorance that still exists, after all the info supplied and shared by those that have and use, solar & EVs. I would be funny, if it wasn't so sad.
  5. Common Flameback - Dinopium javanense
  6. True purpose always shows up ... ... just another troll for the ignore list Have a Crappy Day
  7. It's definitely the inexperience, never owned part that we highly recommend not learning to drive a MB in Krung Thep. Not saying you couldn't, wouldn't, shouldn't, but so many fail miserably when first riding a MB. You don't want to have an oops in traffic, especially fast moving. Even myself, first time, totally ignorant, and I hit a damn house .. at speed, Knocked my A$$ out, and thankfully the owner, made me wear a helmet, or I might not be here today. OK, you guys can stop clapping, wishful thinking is too late. A good, skilled, confident driver, should have no problem, especially a bit more mature than I was, in learning to drive a scooter here. But learn on the back sois, before putting yourself in an 'emergency situation' as bikes don't handle like cars. So many things to watch out for. Loose traction on 1 wheel, you're going down. Car, all four, and you're still protected. First week driving a MC, 750cc, I was constantly thinking about what I was doing, as never drove one before buying (except that one oops), and took it on a country road to teach myself. Lots of mistakes that day/week before reacting was 2nd nature. I crossed the 'center line' more than a few times on curves. Leaning with the bike, paying attention to everything on the road, wet/shiny spots (water or oil), sand, gravel, know when not to use front brake. Takes a while to master, so in an emergency, there's no thought involved, you just react. Why so many inexperience tourist, end up in hospital here, and many, just themselves losing control, and no other vehicles involved. IF hell bent on getting one, then take a peek at electric, if not needing to go far or top end fast. Quick of the line, and almost full automatic, just a selector button to allow more juice at higher speeds. DECO line of scooters, start at <30k baht. I have the SUSU model, and love it. If you like style:
  8. For me, that would be the time I wouldn't want to be on the roads, let alone a MB, though do see the advantage when gridlock. Be Safe
  9. Happens a lot ... 😂
  10. Post reported for repetitive use of vulgar language 😎
  11. Because of, I don't even bother clearing any more. So probably miss a few, and don't reply, aside from ignoring most 🤣
  12. 'me very poor' ... 😭
  13. Phom jon mak mak ... 😭 ... besides, I can only drive 1 car at a time 😎
  14. Yes, even in USA, my #2 wife commented, besides the sex of course, that best thing knowing me, was we did something, went somewhere on our free time, whether a weekday or weekend. Plenty of time to sit on the porch , in the yard, but really need to get away from the house, weekly, and even overnight monthly, at least once. For me anyway, as I don't do stationary for long. As stated, living rural is a bit more challenging. Nice having the surf so close. Last month, no multi day overnights, but just getting away for the day or 1 overnighter:
  15. All things being equal, yes, Robusta beans are more bitter than Arabica. BUT, a lot depends on the roasting. The more roasting, darker, the less caffeine. Robusta vs Arabica
  16. Doom & Gloom sells Keeping it topical ............ everyday
  17. Oct 2023 - prod / cons - 630kWh / 601kWh High - 29 Oct Low - 12 Oct (@ Kanchanaburi) Yesterday @ home 😲 Woke up this morning @ 73% ESSs topped up at 09;25 Charging car now A bit of 'local' exploring, only a couple nights overnight, 1 night at a time. So no long 7-10 days of non use at home, as previous months above.
  18. To the title ... I get bored no matter where live, and it's a challenge sometimes staying active in interested in TH, especially with so much time on my hands. Hence why O&A so much, compared to some. Living semi rural doesn't help, but only a few hours from interesting Krung Thep or landscape (southward). Another thought, if bored and left TH, who would be reading to chime in with a comment? One must really be bored where at now, if following forums about a country they no longer live in, or interest to visit again.
  19. 1 list put USA as #1 outside of Europe, and another listed only 3% go to SEA, CH, JP, TH. And all different years, including during covid. 2018 and it was France, USA, Germany at #7. TH @ #10, actually more like 12 or more, since a few had multiple destination in the #'d slot. So you either use 2019's #s or 2023's for anything close to accurate. Does voting it as a top destination actually mean people go there, or was the question, 'were would you go ?' How is the voting done ? NO mention of people actually visiting TH or any country ... hmm "OMG, ... TH is so cheap, you have to go" .... comes to mind "26th Danish Travel Award 2023 is the prestigious awards ceremony in the travel, tourism and aviation industry since 1996, organized by Travelmedia Nordic (Check-in.dk, Standby.dk and Turisme24.dk). The result is based on a survey of 3,000 Danish consumer. The survey was conducted by Danish analysis institute Epinion using Netpromotor score method." Net promoter score
  20. ESSs with LFP chemistry will last quite some time, depending on DOD. Also why we added a 2nd ESS (10kWh) for longevity of the banks. With 20kWh, they rarely discharge to <60%. Good for more than a few thousand cycles and still maintain 80% at end of that time period. Realistic ball park, 33% daily, so 1 cycle every 3 days. 5000 cycles = 15,000 days = 40+ years. 2500 cycles = 7,500 days = 20+ years Why not ... 10k = 30k = who cares, the wife is 47 yrs old already. source
  21. My stool blood tests were negative, yet polyps were removed during my colonoscopy. If you're 60 yrs or older, get scoped. Inexpensive and painless, or become a statistic. The death rate has dropped the past few decades, because of early detection. It's not rocket science. And if just unlucky enough, and you don't die, well, who doesn't want to sh!t in a bag the rest of their life.
  22. The walkways, crowed, blocked, uneven is probably the most negative aspect of Bangkok, and all of Thailand. IMHO That alone would turn me off of an international holiday here. That and the open sewer system. Wheels friendly, that's never going happen IMHO
  23. Depends. Hindsight for me, our system, 8kW, (Deye) and probably should have went with two 5kW inverters. Gives a bit of redundancy, in case one or only, has an oops. Also, the Deye 5kW is on the approved PEA list of inverters to use, as is their 10kW for 3 phase connections. We don't need 10kW and 5kW wouldn't be enough during a week of crap weather. Or charging the EVs, which was a complete after thought, and not even considered when sizing the system for the house. Thankfully produces more than enough for both, and then some on sunny days. Slight angled roof is preferred, or so our installer stated. When he assessed the job, said very good, not really kissing my butt, as contract was already signed. Just confirmed my design was a good one.
  24. Same with SeaGate drives (now part of WD), and the newer, better spec'd drives were cheaper in the USA, at the time. Really strange. Back in 2000, I used to buy lump crabmeat (shelled & picked through), excellent & inexpensive in USA, and yep, from TH. When I got here in 2000/2001, I couldn't find it, as good or as cheap. Better & cheaper than anything out of the Gulf of Mexico, or the drying up quantities out of Chesapeake Bay.
  25. Also grind if fine, and use a French press. Even pour through a natural paper filter, as the press screen won't catch the fine grinds. Plus it filters the cafestrol out, or so I read. I also think the fine grind gets you a stronger & better yield.
