Our proposed local overpass, is greatly needed, as are the others that have been completed or will be shortly. Creating true interprovincial highway, without the cross traffic & deadly U-turns. Overpasses are the solution to the deadly U-turns y'all cry about. And the drives North & South of us are much better now. The proposed local intersection is gridlock on weekends & holidays. And yes, it will be an inconvenience for a year or so, but save lives also. Is there really a price tag for lives saved. "Highway 4 (Phet Kasem Road) and Highway 326 (Prachuap Khiri Khan Junction) is 2.7 kms from our house. At peak times, it backs up terribly, that traffic won't make the 1st signal change. I cross every day, on the way to the park (morning walk), to surf or to Makro if taking the car. MB, no prob, as there is already an underpass for that, though not as convenient now. Guess we'll be using a bit more when construction starts. Now that we need to go on that side of the highway more than 2X a month anyway. When you travel to Krung Thep, and feel lucky to average 80 kph, when speed limits range from 90-120 kph, then there's need for improvements. When highway deaths are some of the highest in the world, yea, no cross traffic & no silly U-turns will make a difference. The highway overpasses are well built. Can't say the same about some of those RR overpasses Imagine trying to drive around Krung Thep without any overpass at intersection. As if it isn't bad enough with them.

Musk: Kiss Your Social Security Goodbye, Grandma!
KhunLA replied to SiSePuede419's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
NO ... myself, would like to see a 'fair' flat tax, across the board. 15-20-25-30% Everyone pays the same % income tax. People shouldn't be penalized simply for being successful and wanting more. They earned it, they keep it. You work in a factory, you get $1 for every piece you produce for the day. ... you produce 100 pieces, you get $100 ... your co-worker produced 50 pieces, and got $50 ... you have to give $25 to your coworker, because you have more There's your tax system ... FAIR ??? -
99.9% of online purchases are COD. I stopped using PayPal long time ago, when it took a long fight to get a refund from an obvious scam seller. Why I used PP to begin with, their refund policy, which changed and almost failed miserably. They lost customer with their BS, trying to get out of paying the refund. Use to use them exclusively, oh well 😎 They actually fought this refund, which I had photo & listing material submitted. Actually, for a toy, it flies pretty good, if no wind, and as advertised, for the actually product. But, I didn't order a toy. PayPal was good, until I needed them to honor their refund policy.

That took a double take and had to rewind that to make sure I wasn't imagining things He is one of the Ex. producers, from the beginning 👍

Thailand Joins BRICS, Strengthening Economic and Global Alliances
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Yep, always has been and always will continue. Nothing different or changing in the future. Only 1/3, but yes, huge number and 2 of the largest economies. Win win for TH -
Again, he probably can't do that either by executive order. That's what the 'checks & balances' of a 'democratic Republic' is about. Although, since most agree, it is a failed department, shouldn't be too hard to downsize it, or get rid of it. IF the people's representatives agree. A bit different from changing SS, that most everyone wants to keep the same. Ignorance is Bliss ... Stay happy in you hatred 😎 Have a Nice Day

Just what is life like in Rural Thailand- ever wondered ?
KhunLA replied to CharlieH's topic in General Topics
'Rural' is subjective ... I consider us living rural ... closest neighbor is 100+ meters away ... East of us is pineapple fields for ~500 meter ... South of us, is endless coconut groves ... live on an unpaved, dead end soi But ... ... <5 kms / 5 mins from surf, if not catching traffic lights. Can walk or cycle to it. ... main, minor town 5 kms away, population of only 26k people ... no private schools or private hospitals Rural, but close to all that is needed. When living in Udon Thani, also lived rural, but, 20 mins from one of the largest metros in TH, with all of the good & bad that supplies. I couldn't live in extreme 'rural', more than 1 hour from any minor or major town. When O&A, we drive through some lovely areas, for an hour or so, before seeing anything that resembles a town. Lovely ... but ... not for us, and ease of everyday living. If aging, and or, having health issues, you may want more than just 1 govt hospital at your disposal. -

Sooner or later you run out of other people's money. They will simply stop producing and or, simply leve the country. That's what I did ... take your 40% tax and shove it. Now 7% VAT ... Tnank You TH -
Why would he buy one. Musk would probably just give him one of his choosing. As stated, does he actual drive himself around ? Don't think so ... More silly hate from those that stay up all night thinking about President Trump ...

EV Bikes Taillight Always On
KhunLA replied to carlyai's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
They weren't inexpensive, nice specs though and look good. Quality ebikes are not inexpensive, for others considering. Seems 35k-50k is standard pricing for quality, specs dependent. Even my DIY conversion totaled up to ~25k baht, and doesn't have the suspension & brakes for the speed it will do. -

Did you try searching the internet for a manual ? Or, maybe it does turn off, when battery is below a level of charge. -
Thailand Joins BRICS, Strengthening Economic and Global Alliances
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
USA should pay attention to that strategy, 'thinking about your own people first', there might not be a $36T debt. I was thinking about going to the bank today, taking out loan, that I can't repay, for 1M baht, and giving it away. Thoughts ? -
Worried about turtles, burn your plastic like we do. Don't give to govt, and they won't end up in the sea. GW ...

Hmm ... didn't realized they moved it from Mud Island, Memphis TN. Looked rather good there, as popped over to Mud Island a few times. Great place for concerts also.

Joining will be a smart move. Certainly doesn't limit any trading or agreement to trade, outside of BRICS. Not seeing any negatives, though surely many will offer up silly 'what if' scenarios -
