Uncertainty Over U.S. Troops in Europe Sparks Anxiety Among Allies
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I've been saying that since the 1960's. US military should defend the USA, and ain't nobody attacking since that last big one ended about 80 yrs ago. Along with the 10s of thousands of soldiers lives lost, lives and families destroyed, what a waste of resources & tax dollars There is no justification for that. Fight your own battles. -

Or, they can help secure the border. Assist with natural disaster relief as FEMA fails miserably. Those with skills, can simply enter the work forces, as many, like myself, joined to military to learn a skill. Plenty of skilled service folks, that support fighting troops. Those gung ho folks can be retrained to join the police forces around the country. So they can raise the hiring standard again, instead of taking anyone, including criminals, as some departments have trouble filling the ranks. The hatred & short sightedness of the left is blinding -

are you pale as a ghost or baked like a lobster?
KhunLA replied to save the frogs's topic in General Topics
Wasn't me, unless you were working the pineapple field. The back veranda is above the wall, so a little caution needed when sitting there. The 'path' through the middle of, is too far away, so no real worries, unless I stand up and wave to them as the scoot by on the motorbike 😎 Depends how cute they are 🙄 -

No tan lines for me, as outside without clothes too often ... ... how hot, Damn Hot. Why I can't have neighbors 😎 -
I have, after 100+ visits, all 50 districts, every nook & cranny, and only too 25 years From the lowly slums of Khong Toei to towering above and looking down on the little people from MahaNakhon ... got to pull yourself away from that barstool ... or keyboard ...

You've already seen the whole country, so just go fishing at Bang Pu pier. Wear a big, disposable sombrero, so you don't get shat on by my feathered friends ...

What are you cooking today? (2025)

Yep ... use to be a staple dish when a youngin. If stuck for what to order, then that was an easy choice and always satisfied. More a shrimp cocktail guy myself, but when done right, fried are like chips, can't stop with just one. -
That gets you out of the airport, then 30 mins to 'downtown' massage. 2 minutes later, back in taxi to airport for you 2 hr check in. Provided you're allowed to leave the basement

Pretty simple ... Peace, no more loss of life, a ceasefire, end of aggressions on both sides, and should last for at least 4 years Pres. Trump will simply ask Pres Putin to stop, keep what you have accomplished. State UA will not become another NATO member. That's all Putin wanted to begin with. The west to honor the deal made long ago, and for UA to stop killing Russians that don't want to be part of UA any more, since the coup of 2014.

I would love to see no US military overseas. Total waste of lives, assets & money. Bring 'em all home 😎- 78 replies

PM 2.5 Air Purifier Recommendation
KhunLA replied to up-country_sinclair's topic in Health and Medicine
I see the other thread (below) was closed. But for anyone looking to buy a PM2.5 Meter, this is a good one. Possibly same vendor of one posted on other thread, and seriously, way too inexpensive @ ฿364. I'd have a hard time finding a LIPO battery for that price, let alone a whole meter. 6 in 1, and site offers more 'info packed' meters if wanting. Meter is accurate enough, compared to my old meter, along with very local online readings, and all close enough in agreement. Old meter HR sensor, as suspected was a bit off, after wife dropped and broke part of the casing. All other sensors agree close enough. Shopee link, does come from CN, no issues or added tax & COD: https://shopee.co.th/6-in-1-PM2.5-PM10-HCHO-TVOC-Co-CO2ฟอร์มาลดีไฮด์หน้าจอแอลซีดีขนาดใหญ่แบบพกพาสำหรับโฮมออฟฟิศโรงแรมสก์ท็อปเครื่องตรวจจับคุณภาพอากาศ-i.1111825626.28116741772 Locked (newer) thread, if interested: https://aseannow.com/topic/1317651-air-quality-monitor/ -
Maybe on the Andaman Sea side, but as a cheap charlie, it will be way out of your budget. We use to charter boats every year, out of NJ, USA, and silly priced TBH. You can do some shallow water fishing, and depending what you catch can be quite fun. Or go deeper, but at a price ... ... https://fishingbooker.com/blog/fishing-in-thailand/

I go to the bank and get them, year's worth a week or so before extending. If you go every 6 months, they can give it to you on the spot & free. That may be location dependent. Other wise I think it's 300 for the 3 sets of docs needed; balance statement, full account statement (dep & cred) & the 12 credit advices.

Mine arrived IDD (not via NY), @ 10:16 Mar 3 @ ฿33.5145 For others, as noted on link above, tagged as BAHTNET, and you do get 'credit advice' for IMM as I use the monthly deposit method for ret visa ext. Did the IDD deposit via Manila, and very easy, since not having an online acct w/ SS.

A nice Cream of Broccoli, and some roasted Red Peppers. Got some pork tenderloins, and going to try my luck making a Capocollo ish ham 🙄 Just pressed with cayenne & pepper, and not going to try to hang & dry it.
