Health Rabies Deaths Triple in Thailand: Urgent Alerts Issued
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Unless you attract dogs, are scared of (they sense that and have fun with you), and run, which is worst thing you can do, but rare to get bit. I'm out a lot with the dog, and been approached more than a few times by the local pack, and they well know what the walking stick is for. A lone dog is the one I'd be worried about, if aggressive, and not in front of it's house. If one did bite me, especially ignoring my dog, then easy to assume it's infected. All the local dogs, pack or alone are familiar with us. Will bark at us, come close, maybe sniff her marking a spot, but know not to get too close. Walking alone, other cities, I've never had an issue with soi dogs, as I seem to give off a 'F'off' aura. Only once did I need to crack one over it's snout, and a local pack. Broke my damn stick in half, and I think I dislocated it's jaw, as didn't look right as it yiped away. 2 companions followed the Alpha away, quickly losing interest in myself & dog. Next time they spotted us, they didn't bother engaging Carry my teak walking stick now, and would at least knock a dog out, if no kill it. You get bit by a dog, or especially a 'soi' cat, and don't get the shots, you're an idiot. Dogs are not aggressive to the point of biting people, usually. Just don't step on their tail as they suck up the AC in front of the 7-11 door. If you do seem to attract their attention quite often, just carry a small baggie of dried dog food in your pocket. Problem solved. -
Status of Cannabis Shops in Pattaya
KhunLA replied to Knight Rider's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
Easy answer, if you're in need to restock, guess you'll find out. Do report back for others, so they don't waste their time, popping in without a med cert. As usual, with any 'order', some shops may observe, some not, and location dependent. There's a cash cow. I think if I was a doc, I'd set up an 'office' in a weed shop and sell 'certs' for 1000 baht a pop -
which one ? for other, unless extremely important, or they only accept original certified letter, post a couple copies regular snail mail, as it might take a day or 3 more to get there. Do separate the mailing by about a week, so they don't both end up in the same tray and get lost. EMS probably cheapest and works fine, though you may not get a receipt of arrival. The other acronym vendors are silly priced, and may use the same aircrafts the ThaiPost does, so reality, no special service.

If you're in a high security job, especially if with govt, that could definitely be a problem. From experience, don't believe any privacy laws that state they can't, don't or won't pass your info to another entity.

Health Rabies Deaths Triple in Thailand: Urgent Alerts Issued

Yea, she's pretty responsible. Drives herself to the vet, on E-MB of course, wearing a helmet, and pays by scanning the QR code with her iPhone 😎 -

That's a pretty stupid F'g question. NO, I'd definitely roll the dice with a 100% fatal disease -
Health Rabies Deaths Triple in Thailand: Urgent Alerts Issued

Typical, a very important public service thread, turns into a sh!t show. Mind boggling. And on the first reply I think I'll stay below those provinces. And as stated in the OP, keep your pets current with their shots. Keep them inside and leashed when outside. Mine is never out of my sight, or runs free. Actually more concerned about snakes, but a yearly heads up about rabes is a good thing, not that I worry about, but. I may be an anti vax'er, but thankfully my dog isn't. -
Agree with above, and the Wave definitely wouldn't be my choice, or anything smaller than the 350cc recommended. @chawbdurian

Not a F & C guy, but the rest looks good. Along with Beer Lao to wash anything down. Like the Ari neighborhood, and some good munchies there. Though haven't been back since the scamdemic.

What sort of personality traits do you need to marry a bargirl?
KhunLA replied to MalcolmB's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I'd say I'm gay, and still looking for a good lady to show me the light, and hopefully have clothes and pumps (US size 12 & EEE) that fit me -
No, not at all. Don't know how you read my post above as admitting I was mistaken, and quite the opposite. A little reading comprehension ... again. What is with y'all. Still haven't seen a news-blip or announcement after 4 July, when according to the Royal Gazette, it became the new rules & effective immediately. Along with being acted on, and enforced on Phuket. Sort of verifies it was not being delayed. Happy to agree with y'all if you could point something out dated 4 July or later.

What are you having for Dinner tonight?
KhunLA replied to bob smith's topic in Western Food in Thailand
Fine dining @ KFC ... Zinger & couple scoops from Swensen's -
So you are including all vehicles, when I specifically stated cars, to make the % look smaller. Only one BEV truck available in TH, so kind of irrelevant to compare truck sales. Many of those are used for long haul driving, where 'time IS money'. That is going to be a very slow transition. Although, when there are more BEV options, those for personal use, would be upgrading for sure.

Was I crazy to buy a Neta V now the company is going bust?
KhunLA replied to BritManToo's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I rarely touch the brakes on our MG ZS, and have regen on '3', strongest, and love it. Don't have 1 pedal option. It's almost self driving if using cruise control, will stop by it self, just have to tap accelerator to continue forward. Starts out too slow though, even in sport mode. Fine for city driving, but wouldn't trust it to come to a stop with traffic backed up at traffic light, if we're doing 90 kph on highway. Fine if traffic in front of us, as simply paces with them. -

KhunLA replied to MalcolmB's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That's a bit telling ... no thanks. Wife doesn't drink alcohol at all, though humored me the first couple month, but basically stopped soon after. As I did also, a couple years later, though only a weekend or monthly warrior myself. If we have 3 alcohol beverages in a year, that's about our limit. -

If you want an older gal, then just get a non bar girl / guy. Plenty of those looking for foreigner, or so I read. My wife wasn't, as took her a long time to warm up to me. No interest in anybody, just gotten rid her deadbeat Thai husband, a year or so earlier. -
Numbers are spot on, and the usual reading comprehension or deflection from the haters. Talking about cars, not trucks. I'm seeing that 28% to be ~50% in ~5 years https://aseannow.com/topic/1365600-phuket-cannabis-shops-raided-in-major-regulatory-crackdown/

Report German-Thai Couple's Generosity Thrills Kalasin Villagers
KhunLA replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Giving large sum of money to a religious organization is like giving a box of beer to one of the big Thai beer breweries in TH That 800k would have gone a lot further to the people, instead of 2000 eggs. The Abbott might use to put a down payment on a Benz to be driven around in -
Makro is easily 10-20% cheaper than the other chains. When I had the choice of all 4 & VM in Udon Thani, we still did 95% of our shopping at Makro. They have very little that I need. Not into any overpriced processed western, or even most processed Thai food items. More a whole foods, make at home from scratch kind of guy, family.
