PM 2.5 Air Purifier Recommendation
KhunLA replied to up-country_sinclair's topic in Health and Medicine
I see the other thread (below) was closed. But for anyone looking to buy a PM2.5 Meter, this is a good one. Possibly same vendor of one posted on other thread, and seriously, way too inexpensive @ ฿364. I'd have a hard time finding a LIPO battery for that price, let alone a whole meter. 6 in 1, and site offers more 'info packed' meters if wanting. Meter is accurate enough, compared to my old meter, along with very local online readings, and all close enough in agreement. Old meter HR sensor, as suspected was a bit off, after wife dropped and broke part of the casing. All other sensors agree close enough. Shopee link, does come from CN, no issues or added tax & COD: https://shopee.co.th/6-in-1-PM2.5-PM10-HCHO-TVOC-Co-CO2ฟอร์มาลดีไฮด์หน้าจอแอลซีดีขนาดใหญ่แบบพกพาสำหรับโฮมออฟฟิศโรงแรมสก์ท็อปเครื่องตรวจจับคุณภาพอากาศ-i.1111825626.28116741772 Locked (newer) thread, if interested: https://aseannow.com/topic/1317651-air-quality-monitor/ -
Maybe on the Andaman Sea side, but as a cheap charlie, it will be way out of your budget. We use to charter boats every year, out of NJ, USA, and silly priced TBH. You can do some shallow water fishing, and depending what you catch can be quite fun. Or go deeper, but at a price ... ... https://fishingbooker.com/blog/fishing-in-thailand/

I go to the bank and get them, year's worth a week or so before extending. If you go every 6 months, they can give it to you on the spot & free. That may be location dependent. Other wise I think it's 300 for the 3 sets of docs needed; balance statement, full account statement (dep & cred) & the 12 credit advices.

Mine arrived IDD (not via NY), @ 10:16 Mar 3 @ ฿33.5145 For others, as noted on link above, tagged as BAHTNET, and you do get 'credit advice' for IMM as I use the monthly deposit method for ret visa ext. Did the IDD deposit via Manila, and very easy, since not having an online acct w/ SS.

China’s Imminent Invasion of Taiwan: A Global Catastrophe in the Making
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Correct. Matter of fact, Taiwan gets their 'minerals', rare earth elements for the chips, from ... ... China. CN doesn't have to invade to control and part of 'One China', as simply need to limit their ability to have an economy. Want to really squeeze them, blockade imports. It is an island, with little needed that isn't imported ... food for example Taiwan relies on imports for almost all it's food & energy. Over 180 countries do NOT even recognized Taiwan as an independent country. Only 12 do. But the MSM will have you believe .... yea, dream on China & Taiwan have existed in harmony for decades. Only MSM wants to rock the boat, but reporting BS. Just another distraction while the puppeteers steal you money & assets. The Feudal Serfdom system will be returning to the West, as long as you keep fighting amongst yourselves. You can fix stupid. -
China’s Imminent Invasion of Taiwan: A Global Catastrophe in the Making
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Facts straight from MSM ... and yet, still waiting ... nuff said Have a pleasant day Oh yea ... there is no binding agreement for the USA to support Taiwan militarily, without approval of Congress. Until that is done, it doesn't matter what the president thinks or wants. -
As an expat, proof of life has to be given every year. Or the benefits will be stopped, so maybe 2 years at most lost per expat receiving.

China’s Imminent Invasion of Taiwan: A Global Catastrophe in the Making
KhunLA replied to Social Media's topic in World News
and yet, in my lifetiem of constant doom & gloom in MSM ... ... CN hasn't invade Taiwan ... USA & RU haven't nuked each other ... the world didn't and isn't ending ... and I'm still waiting for Jesus to return Go figure ... and yes, one of us is demonstrating the Dunning-Kruger effect, and I'm pretty sure it isn't me, a those things haven't happened as predicted. Or feel free to point them out, as I may have missed them, since not paying too much attention to MSM of late. -
SSI is not a form of welfare, nor an entitlement. Something you and your employer paid into, to care for people who may need it, do to disabilities, keeping them from working. Actually, SSI, it's a pittance offer, easily approved, so you don't sue SS for full disability benefits that you & employer have paid into for decades of working. Usual takes 3rd review of your case, if lucky, or even more appeals, with lawyer, or you'll lose, to receive full disability benefits, you paid into. And that's from experience. Typical 'insurance' company 'SOP' ... deny deny deny, and hopefully you take a lower offer. Many do, as they don't have finances to last, while fighting the system. Which can be time consuming. Take a job, any job while fighting for your benefits, no matter how painful it may be for you to work and provide for your family (if you even can), and you'll be denied, expectedly, as just proved you're not disabled.

A Focus On : Kanchanaburi - site of an Iconic Railway
KhunLA replied to CharlieH's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
One of the better (best IMHO) photo opts, for the train line, is at Krasai Cave area. Also a market there, and plenty of parking. Can get shots, vids of train along the river and very up close & personal, in a more rural setting. Just search arrival schedule for 'Thamkra Sae (ถ้ำกระแซ) Stop ID: 4072' https://www.google.com/maps/place/Krasae+Cave/@14.1048583,99.1662636,17z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x30e480748bdda825:0x6831d9304ce11fe4!8m2!3d14.1049728!4d99.1666069!16s%2Fg%2F1hd_s85nj?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDIyNi4xIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D -

Controversy Erupts as Thailand Claims Uyghurs Chose Deportation
KhunLA replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Yep, you can, that's a crime. Just like when people do it in your home country, and you don't like it, along with wanting them punished and or deported back to where they came from. I DO ... same same .... NOT different, they are criminals. -
