  1. Maybe said 'partner' didn't want OP spending his/his/it's inheritance on something that will depreciate. That is what 'show' rooms are for. When I went and peeked at the MG showroom, I really had not intention of buying. Actually there to reassure myself, they were krap ... we ordered a ZS a week or so later. ???? Finding it hard to believe any salesman would suggest you not look at them. Simply doing so, would encourage others to, if there.
  2. Most malls have drop offs for used batteries. The OrBaTor office should also have a drop off, or know of one, since they usually are in charge /contracting of trash pickup. Last district we lived in did. The site I linked was all AIS vendors, I think. Any electronic shop that does repairs would also point you in the right direction, as assuming they need discard quite a few. If all fails, before I knew about drop off sites, I just duct taped them to the community trash bin, and let the 'collector' decide what to do. At least knowing they now have (LiPo), and don't compress in back of truck unless wanting start a fire.
  3. Is that water simply 'pooling' in your yard from rain, or coming in from outside your property perimeter ?
  4. Not building equity for your future, tells one a lot about someone. Mentally planning retirement, from a jail cell with no assets or job/trade (guessing) when released, when ever in the future, and already half his life has passed him by. Doesn't give much hope for any life forward, let alone retirement planning. Tough Love ... reality. Help if there's hope, if not, lock your doors. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance, sounds like he's on #5 & up, and enjoying the revolving door of being incarcerated ... Been there, done that ... ???? Actually just overnight stays, but enough to tell me, general pop probably isn't for me. Get bored way to fast.
  5. Agree with the 'local' installer, in case of oops. Very happy with ours, but based in Hua Hin. Actually at Pattaya now, as I await my 2nd ESS to be installed. Hindsight on our system, we have an 8kW inverter, and would suggest two 5kW inverters instead of one 10kW. Again, JIC, and if PEA approved, (ours is not) maybe some decade in the future, they'll actually start paying for feed in to the grid.
  6. Almost topped up again, and ready for another night. Last night started at 97% (9.7kW) at 1730 hrs, using 2kw till 2300, w/2 frigs, TV & fan on. Using 2.6kW the next 8 hrs (TV off), till getting out of bed. Sun actually shining, though still partly cloudy, as seen by peeks & valleys. Red spike being morning coffee time ☕ EDIT: pissing down raining now ????
  7. All Thais don't earn minimum wage. Many live quite well. Choosing to go to a G&R show is a different story though.
  8. Sun appeared, so producing a bit earlier than expected. VID_20220930_065921 (1).mp4
  9. 8 1/2 hours to go before start producing enough to match consumption. Screenrecorder-2022-09-29-22-56-20-30.mp4

  11. If going via isan, you made a wrong turn.
  12. Yes I remember that one, read the news reports, all the photos, a big nothing & damage from poor construction.
  13. Judging by the lack of replies, amount of negative replies, in the 'eco' topics, EV, solar, alternate to fossil anything, there doesn't seem to be to many members concerned about anything eco. Along with being anti-China, without there wouldn't be any affordable alternatives to fossil fuels. Forgetting most of their electronic & auto rely on China to supply them, whole or parts of. Will complain about their electric bills, air pollution ... but ... Or complain about plastic bags, and endorse cutting more trees down for paper alternatives ... ????
  14. Actually now read the OP ???? Looking for 2nd hand ... oops
  15. But unless crappy construction, they're a big nothing. Stumping my toe is more of a concern than quakes here. No worries down here at PKK. One typhoon hit Chumphon, over 30 yrs ago. It would actually have to turn up the Gulf to be a concern for us.
  16. We bought for value for baht, of product vs specs of comparable model from other maker, in the same price range. Meaning entry models, 'made in Thailand'. Considered, Vios, Jazz, Note, Mazda 2 again, City. Avanza, and the Nissan Note was winning that lot, except a new model, so skeptical. Jazz running a close 2nd. Then I popped into a MG dealer, out of curiosity, actually to take a look at the MG3, see if any upgrades, as didn't care for when peeked at before. Saw the ZS while there and was sold on that. Great promo at the time. Previous cars were Vios (2) and Mazda 2 (sedan), so the ZS was big step up from them. And didn't cost much more than top end version of those 2. Or any any vehicle in the 700k range. Spec wise superior to anything else in that ball park. It was a very hard decision, MG that is, as not a fan of UK made. When I saw the MG3s here, 5 ish yrs ago, first thought was, Holy Buddha, Hell NO, I'd never own one of those POSs. Brother & friends had nothing but bad lucky with them in decades past. Lots of research & review watching before buying. Love the more space, interior of the ZS, although length wise, same as the Mazda, but wider & higher, and being SUV, heaps more cargo room for O&A. Ride is much smoother and most important, much quieter on the highway at speed. Vios & M2 were annoying over the road. Didn't realize just how much, until getting the ZS. Then one night at Krung Thep, GRAB driver was using a Fortuner. What a step up from the ZS ???? BUT, also 2x the price ????. 700k was a stretch for me, to spend on 4 wheels, so 1.5m ... ... HELL NO, maybe if I was going to live in it. 2 yrs and still lovin' it.
  17. Since May 19th here, so Nov 19th or abouts. Ours states free install, and as you say, will update and see how far that is. To our 'box' is about 5 meters. I interpret free install as, working before y'all leave, not just stuck on the wall ????
  18. Surely there's a few chubby chasers out there in the crowd
  19. No flooding issues down here at Amphur Muang, that I know of. Only when the surf acts up and occasionally, floods the 'surfside' road. Did take out a couple sections of seawall this year. A first since 6 yrs here. To be replaced with larger, nicer promenade. See how long that last ???? Actually on the least affected side of the bay, so more improper construction than wave strength. Not deep enough, and got undermined. Be safe.
  20. Think they stopped making the vitara, or do you mean the XL7 ? Having shy of 1cm more ground clearance than the ford.
  21. They can't use 'PKK municipality' ... that's mine ????
