For gaming the most important bit is the graphics card, get a RTX3060 or better. It should also have 16GB ram. AMD or Intel CPU doesn't matter much, in the end it will depend on the specific CPU model, and it might also vary by game which one is better.

There is no such thing as "true visions fiber". The fiber cable from true terminates at the modem/router, that's a single point in your house. Then you connect the True TV box (or multiple...) to your router, either by wifi or regular RJ45 ethernet cable.

Where to meet Hiso Thai women?
FriendlyFarang replied to coloneloftruth's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Hahaha, good joke. You obviously have no experience with this type of woman. It doesn't matter how much money they have, one basic requirement which still applies to nearly all of them: They want a guy who makes more money then they do. So let's say they make a million per month, probably 95% of them would expect that their future husband makes at least two. I do regularly meet well off women, and one thing that stands out compared to the girls in 7/11 etc.: Not once has such a well of woman asked me if I could introduce her to a farang friend of mine, while minimum wage workers ask me this all the time. Most of them never thought about having a Farang boyfriend or husband, because basically all foreigners that they see are below them socioeconomic wise. -
Assuming that this shows one of the transfers: This is the slip that gets saved to your phone when you do a transfer, afaik there is no way to download it later, or on another device etc. So since they have this slip, which was probably on her phone, it's clear that somebody used her phone to do the transfers.

What should I do?
FriendlyFarang replied to Ciccio's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
3: From the Thai person who you sent the money to, or from "Antoine"? There is nothing else you can currently do except to wait. Usually scammers try to string along their victims as long as they can. You said that after a few days he informed you already that the deal is off, so you could still be lucky and maybe it's not a scam. -
If you plan to drive at night, then 20/40. 40 in the front greatly reduces your vision at night time. In case you plan to drive nearly only at daytime then 40/60 is ok. But I'd put 20 on the front and the front side windows, and 40 on the rear and rear side windows.

Only applies when studying at a language school, studying at a university doesn’t have this limitation. -
Sell or rent?
FriendlyFarang replied to liana3legend's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
Looking at the 200-250k rent per month I would assume that in 11 years your landlord will ask for 40 million for another 30 years. Are you willing to spend this? -
They probably did it hundreds of times already and never had a problem. Their problem was that this time they “caught” a celebrity and it came back to them.

NON-R visa purpose change
FriendlyFarang replied to nvrmorrv's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your extension became invalid when you got disrobed. When you applied for your extension you signed a paper which informed you about this. So technically you are on overstay now and would be banned from Thailand if caught. If you just exit Thailand immigration at departure won’t be aware of this though. -
Scam! Cheap motorbike and car licenses on offer
FriendlyFarang replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
That’s not correct. It doesn’t void the compulsory insurance, which is the only insurance most vehicles have. -

Why don’t you have a rental contract? How do you know he is even the owner of the condo? -
Work Permits for Laos Citizens
FriendlyFarang replied to bbi1's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
What do you mean by "via a Thai citizen"? The only way to get a work permit is by working at a registered company, same as for any other foreigners. If they want to run their own business, they have to set up a company. Correct as in what? According to the law? No That it happens? Yes, definitely happens A work permit for one year costs 3000 baht. The visit to immigration every 3 months is probably just the 90 day report, afaik an initial LA visa is for 2 years, and then probably yearly extensions, or maybe an extension every two years.
