  1. Don't make it too complicated for them by putting unnecessary information in it. The condo name is not part of the address, and neither is an apartment room number. If you live in a condo every condo has a house number though which is part of the address. The only thing you put in the first field is the house number, something like: 123/456 If your address has a village number (moo), then add this as well, so it's for example: 123/456 Moo 5 Everything else you write in this field is wrong.
  2. Many hospitals combine public and private services (might be in different buildings though), the hospital to which you went probably does this as well. You probably went the private care section of Chulalongkorn hospital, and were thus charged the private care rates. Often they don't give you a choice though (I don't know how it is at Chulalongkorn, just speaking in general). The public care section of the hospital might be just for people who are treated under the 30 baht scheme or social insurance, self pay is not an option. If you pay yourself you are forced to visit the private care section. Doctors fee at a government hospital is usually 50 baht, if you have to pay more that that you are in their private care section.
  3. He probably holds dual nationality, is born in Thailand, and the only thing "indian" about him is that his ancestors once came from India, as many other Thai/Indian in Thailand. But a news article gets more attention if a foreigner is blamed.
  4. I subscribed last month for 1 baht per month, and according to the app I've saved 420 baht so far, so yes it's worth it if you order at least once per month.
  5. The problem with bars is that many are run just as a hobby, and they don't care if they make a profit. So you are competing with others who are willing to work for free just because they want a place to hang around with their buddies, difficult to earn money like this. Same goes for many coffee shops, which are often run by the wives who have nothing to do and just want a place to hang around and chat with their friends. Basically any other business is probably better, you just need to keep your eyes open for what is lacking in an area. Since I moved to my current neighborhood I always noticed a lack of car washes, in the last few months several new places have opened, obviously other people also paid attention to the situation and reacted accordingly. Another thing I notice here in my area is a lack of hair salons for women, I actually already thought about opening one myself considering how little investment this requires. My recommendation would be to not focus on one specific type of business, but decide based on what the area is lacking.
  6. This website is obviously directed at foreigners, because nearly all UK citizens are also residents and thus have a UK license. If you were born in the UK you have probably been a resident since birth, unless you have lost your residency status since then. So you would have to check if you are still considered a UK resident or not, if not you could theoretically use a foreign license. But if you have an accident and the insurer sees that you have a UK passport and a foreign license, by default the claim will probably be denied because they say that you have been a resident and thus your foreign license isn't valid. Then it's up to you to proof that you are not a UK resident anymore.
  7. Then you can probably not drive on a foreign license.
  8. CC don't matter, what matters is the power. According to Google the Corolla Cross sport in the non-hybrid version has 140hp at 1325kg, I don't think that's under powered.
  9. Who thinks it's possible to U-turn across lanes on a motorway? Here a picture of the section, she had to drive at quite some speed to make it through the second barrier after crashing into the first.
  10. According to Google the Ford Ranger Wildtrak is about half a meter longer than the SUVs which you mentioned, this is quite significant. I've driven an SUV in Bangkok, it's often a pain in the ass, I really wouldn't want to drive a car which is even bigger.
  11. That's not possible on a phone, unless the phone would be rooted. And even then they would still require her banking pin.
  12. Why would you want to drive a car that annoys you to maybe save a few thousand baht? I would just offer it for sale now, and when somebody offers you a good price you sell it, no need to hurry too. Probably every dealer will offer you a trade in, but if you sell it yourself you will get more.
  13. And why did they do this?
  14. The default limit is 50k. You can increase it up to 2 million Baht though, can be done through the app.
  15. Technically impossible. It would require multiple severe security flaws to execute this, I doubt they exist, and even if they would exist this is stuff that the CIA or similar would use to take over other world leaders phones to gather intelligence, not something random "hackers" would use to steal a few millions.
  16. She probably transferred the money to the scammers by herself after some social engineering tactic, everything else is probably just made up so she doesn't look so stupid. Similar to all the car accidents here in Thailand due to "brake failure" in newish cars. It's simply not possible to have money transferred from an account just by clicking on a link. She would at least have to install an app, then either grant the other person access to her phone, or if it's some kind of "virus" she would have to sideload an app. which at least on my last Android phone triggers a 10 second dialog informing me about the risks and asking me if I'm really sure I want to do this. Then after this she still would have to give the "hackers" her banking PIN, so that they would be able to do the transfer. Also banks do freeze accounts if you call them.
  17. Half of the dash cams from this "test" aren't even available in Thailand, and many of the models are outdated, they have been replaced by newer models.
  18. How did you get a certificate of residence in Bangkok if you are living in Phuket?
  19. They only say "Photocopy of Passport pages with all entry and exit stamps to/from Thailand" I'm quite certain they refer to the pages in your current passport, and not to all passports you ever had.
  20. Who told you that you have to provide all entry/exit stamps of all passports you ever had?
  21. You take the documents which you get from the dealer together with the car, your passport and a certificate of residence to the Phuket DLT and register it in your name. Not really difficult to do, but you have to go twice, because first they change the province, and a few days later the name.
