I think it is just a question of how far along his dementia is. Need careful & correct diagnosis to slow with correct drug treatment regime.

Too many to claim to be best, many equally good - Je Ne Regrette Rien (Edith Piaf), Padam Padam (Edith Piaf), Feeling Good (Nina Simone), Ne Me Quitte Pas (Jacques Brel), I heard it through the Grapevine (Marvin Gaye), Smalltown Boy (Bronski Beat), plus many songs by Siouxsie and the Banshees, etc.. The list is endless due to the sheer number of good songs -

Thailand Introduces New Bill to Regulate Cannabis While Keeping It Legal
MarkBR replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Agreed, no one will buy 0.2% cannabis, has little functional use - will kill industry leading to de facto criminalisation of recreational cannabis users. Back to the stupidity of the Wars on Drugs, when they should focus on Yaba which is destroying rural Thailand! -

Former Army Chief Set to Lead Neo-Conservative Party

Main problem for all countries is corruption & nepotism resulting in incompetent sycophants climbing upwards who would never get to their positions without corruption &/or nepotism (UK - House of Lords (many members), Jeremy Corbin, Liz Truss, Boris Johnson to name a few) e.g. 'promoted' far above their abilities. This, may I suggest, leads to the decline of countries over varying lengths of time. -

Would they rather that non-Thais who are really poor become criminals? Malign policy. -

Constant talk about Pattaya's reputation. Thankfully, I do not live there.

Seeking to replace Prawit's party. Look forward to some internecine feuding between them. -
I agreed that mental health & physical health policy & treatment of British veterans & the mentally ill is appalling. The existence of foodbanks is appalling. But they are still viewed far more sympathetically (although, I think it is just words often rather than effective help) than those who are asylum seekers (one of my ex-students was from Benghazi, Libya - a very good decent human being - but had to escape when Force Majure was declared as it was disintegrating), immigrants or refugees. Your statement/comment illustrates my point.

Market Assault by Creditor Raises Alarm in Udon Thani

Must be very carefully with lending to other Thais; my Thai partner lent to his aunt (a substantial sum), she paid back but took much longer than he had anticipated for her to pay back - this caused much stress. Never use loan sharks, for poor Thais the question becomes why do they need to use loan sharks, what is going wrong the official sources of loans? I hope the police help this situation. -
BBC Admits Past Lapses in Addressing Celebrity Misconduct
MarkBR replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Loss of reputation sentence, I agree with. the BBC is worth it but MUST enforce effective monitoring and standards on ALL staff. Being a CREATIVE, is not grounds for allowing behaviour that is morally & criminally wrong. You noted the horrendous Saville case as one example; this Hugh Edwards case is another - his sentence is FAR too low. I am not far right, in case anyone queries this, but think that standards & enforcement should be across the board - this is what many in the upper levels of British society and the BBC as a reflection of that fail to adhere to e.g. BBC, Boris Johnson, Mohamed al Fayed, etc.. the list is long of the Elite acting badly and getting away with it. -

Maybe mental health problems involved and Pattaya authorities should do something to help. Lack of effective mental health policy & treatment in Thailand (and many other countries generates far more problems).

Thailand Introduces New Bill to Regulate Cannabis While Keeping It Legal
MarkBR replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I agree, this bill will accomplish nothing. Your suggestion is sensible. The reason most people use it (I do not - my preference is gin or ale) is recreationally so it would be sensible as the revenue would allow them to focus on yaba which is tearing rural Thailand's families and social fabric apart. But your suggestion will be ignored, too much lack of rational policy in relation to cannabis worldwide compared to other drugs- scientist David Nutt tried in the UK and paid a price when he suggested offically that policy should be based on dangers the drugs represented. -
