  1. Wow, just checked it out on booking . Com. Only 2650 baht per night for a Sheraton right on the beach. Sold!
  2. Or maybe they charge double as all the Texas Chicken lovers fight over their last pieces of chicken 😀
  3. In case it helps. I had to go to my bank to fill out a direct debit form which was approved by the bank. This bank form is what PEA require to start the Direct debit of Elec payments. I then paid the Admin lady in my Juristic 500 baht and she went to PEA and filed the form for me. I think this was just something she offered to Condo Owners in her own time but it's maybe worth asking your Juristic if they know someone to do it?
  4. I got a re-entry at Jomtien in July and I needed: - application form - copy of passport ID page, visa stamp, extension stamp - copy of TM30 - photo - 3800 baht for multiple re-entry (single re-entry is 1000) I went to info desk at 2:15 for doc check and get ticket #, saw IO by 2:30, passport ready about 3:20
  5. I think this has more to do with the ridiculously strong Baht than the A$. Only 2-3 months ago we were at 24.50 baht and hopefully many people topped up their Thai accounts in July (I sent $9k @ 24.18, wish I sent more) I can't see it changing much as RBA unlikely to cut interest rates next week. I'm going to wait until Thailand manipulates some strength out of their baht
  6. Not only is it the same report and videos as in June it's from the same OP, Mr Black
  7. Who's team is still undefeated at 2-0? Two rounds in and only 9 undefeated teams left (5 in AFC and 4 in NFC). Makes me feeler better about 49ers losing to the Vikings
  8. I don't get it. Immigration closes at 4:30pm so of course the info desk issuing tickets to see an IO would close well before that. OP seems to think info desk should still be open at 4:30pm so are the IO's supposed to then stick around until 5.30 to process all the issued tickets?
  9. Hard Rock is still open in Pattaya
  10. There's a Taco Bell on beach road at Royal Garden
  11. Got this from Krungsri today. 5.1% on US$ for 6 month FCD
  12. As they say, "fine line between love & hate" 😉
  13. I was going to use Mots, 5000 baht for both car and bike (3500 for one new licence or 3000 for one renewal). I like how they pick-up and drop-off at your door. https://www.mots-services.com/
  14. Standard practice all over the World, show new passport and any associated visa stamps in old passport.
  15. I thought my Citibank account was the best thing going around. After NAB took over they gradually killed every product Citibank had so NAB was better. Hope they don't do the same to Ubank. (I guess their strategy worked as I closed my Citibank and opened a NAB instead)
  16. Ubank actually have 5.50% up to $100k and then it's 5.00% up to $250k. The $500 deposit a month is a drag but since you can withdraw it straight a way not really a problem. I went for years transferring $1k to one bank, then withdraw and sent to another bank then sent back to original bank. Met the 2 banks deposit requirements but a complete waste of time.
  17. Even kid shows had a bit of "Agro" fun back then 😀
  18. But you still needed DTV, yellow book and Pink ID Card to get this account right? So someone with just DTV would likely not? (I only needed non-imm O stamp to open mine in Pattaya, which was done on the spot)
  19. So if you had a yellow book and pink ID card why did you not already have a bank account? Seems bizarre. This is the 2nd DTV holder to get something usually requiring a long-term visa in last couple of days (other was 5 year licence renewal). Both already had a yellow book and pink ID card so I'm still not convinced you can walk into any branch and open a bank account on DTV like you can on non-imm O. Happy to be wrong though. Also would be interesting to know what visa these yellow book, pink ID card holders are giving up to switch to a DTV?
  20. No idea what this means but I wasn't responding to OP, I replied to a guy who said central only opens at 11am. The Supermarket in basement opens at 9am, as does some of food court
  21. There is no Superrich in Pattaya. Go to any TT Exchange booth, they're everywhere and usually always give the best rates
  22. Food court and supermarket in basement are open much earlier
  23. Isn't it standard that if guy breaks off engagement she can keep the ring. If she breaks off engagement then she should at least offer to give it back (my ex offered ring back & I told her to stick it up her arse)
  24. That's a long day out driving to Central Festival Pattaya from Udon Thani or Khon Kaen 😉
