  1. I shouldn't have to explain to you that a President has no control over how much private companies want to charge for food or anything else. Biden did manage to get drug companies to cap the prices of certain essential drugs....something Trump never did.
  2. Biden "wants" high food prices? Come on, now you're just being ridiculous.
  3. The President sets the agenda, not the VP. Do you not understand how the US system of government works? I don't recall Mike Pence accomplishing much as VP.
  4. It's well documented from several first-hand accounts that Trump is susceptible to flattery. All of our adversaries in Russia, China, N. Korea, Saudi Arabia, etc.....they all know this. They know that all they have to do is publically compliment Trump and he'll give them whatever they want. How stupid is that? Another reason why Trump should never become POTUS.
  5. Agree....and he's rather prolific with all of these new fake profiles. All for Trump. It's desperation time in MAGA land....5555
  6. I don't know how reliable their sources are, but it certainly makes sense. She supported Biden in 2020 mostly because she despises Trump. But this time around, she most likely wants to support a strong woman for the White House.
  7. An article from 2014? Here's a more recent study.... [People with a higher IQ and favorable genes for intelligence are more likely to be liberal] https://www.zmescience.com/science/news-science/high-iq-genetics-politics/
  8. Yes, the US is hopelessly divided at the moment. But I sincerely believe that when Trump loses the election in November and is out of the picture, things will improve. The Republican party will start to rebuild itself and the true conservatives will re-emerge. MAGA will be history....good riddance.
  9. 55555....good one. His friend's initials are DJT and his last name rhymes with "Rump."
  10. Some of these tweets from the DNC are pretty funny. Just had to share.... [Michelle Obama went from “when they go low” to “I’m gonna obliterate that orange freak”] [Kamala’s husband’s ex-wife is supporting her more enthusiastically than Trump’s current wife is supporting him] [In 2016, the attitude toward Trump was that he was beneath contempt; in 2020, it was that he was terrifying and we had to stop him at all costs; in 2024, it's that he's a little b*tch.] [MICHELLE OBAMA 2016: When they go low, we go high. MICHELLE OBAMA 2024: Fuuuuuuuck that] https://www.yahoo.com/news/entertainment/42-tweets-night-two-dnc-114232276.html
  11. "...84% of the reporting on Trump is negative." Where on Earth did you come up with that? I'm pretty sure you just made that up. But if simply reporting about something stupid that Trump said can be classified as negative, I suppose the media is guilty as charged.
  12. I saw her speech live, short and concise. Among other things, she said Trump has no respect for his own supporters....he calls them "basement dwellers." One of the few times Trump's got it right....5555
  13. But that's just how Trump rolls. For the next 70+ days, Trump will be lying about anything and everything. If Taylor Swift were to come out tomorrow and endorse VP Harris, Trump will immediately say it was fake AI-generated. The fact checkers are going to be busy for the next couple of months.
  14. 5555....it's pretty obvious that Trump cares. He's practically on his knees begging for a Taylor Swift endorsement.
  15. That was a really dumb move by Trump (and his minions). Taylor Swift may not have intended to endorse anyone this cycle. But now that Trump has come out with this lie, she's going to have to clarify to her army of Swifties where she really stands.
  16. Trump has a long history of making disparaging remarks about veterans. He doesn't understand "sacrifice" and doesn't respect veterans. Even Trump's own Chief of Staff admitted that much.... [Last October, Kelly confirmed on the record exclusively to CNN previous reporting that had appeared in The Atlantic magazine about Trump disparaging service members, describing Trump as “a person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’ A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family – for all Gold Star families – on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.”] https://edition.cnn.com/2024/08/19/politics/john-kelly-donald-trump-medal-of-honor/index.html
  17. Politics in America means that you will be criticized by the other side, no matter where you stand on any particular issue. So Harris is better off to not say much of anything and let Trump do the talking. Every time Trump opens his mouth, he implodes and reveals to the world what a pathetic piece of excrement he is.
  18. We come to debate facts and you've only got your "personal feelings" to go by? I'm not living in the US right now, but I doubt that food costs twice as much this year as last. Come on, man, repeating Trump's talking points won't fly in the real world.
  19. Abortion is a big issue among women, but ok, let's talk about other stuff. The economy is booming, unemployment down, stock market at record highs, wages going up, inflation going down, border crossings significantly down, violent crime down....what else do you want to talk about?
  20. The author is clearly knowledgeable about Thailand and its politics. But to be honest, most Americans couldn't tell the difference between Thailand and Taiwan. And they really couldn't care less. I say this as an American myself.
  21. I don't believe anything Trump says. If there was an Olympics for lying, Trump would be a multiple gold medalists record holder. (just paying tribute to the recently completed Olympics.....555)
  22. Absolutely untrue. Rasmussen is so inaccurate that 538 dropped them from their polling averages list. They are hopelessly biased and well known to be so by the industry.
  23. Good question. And the answer is that they know him best.
  24. I don't think it's possible for the Republicans to replace Trump. The GOP has already had their convention. Even replacing Vance (there's been talk) would be hugely difficult. There was talk of Biden pardoning Trump if he won in the name of "healing" the US. And knowing Biden, he might do something like that. But I doubt Harris would. Especially since Trump is out there spewing all manners of hate and vitriol at her. But if Trump starts to really worry about losing and ending up in prison....who knows? Maybe he would be open to working out some sort of deal with the Democrats, sort of like a plea deal. This would actually be ideal as it'd avoid a messy election. And in some GOP quarters, they're hoping Trump would lose anyway so the Republican Party can start rebuilding itself and ridding it of MAGA. Anyways, mostly wishful thinking.
