Cabinet Approves 55 Billion Baht Rice Price Stability Measures
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Almost correct with your both comment. https://thainews.prd.go.th/en/news/detail/TCATG230904110535601#:~:text=Data from the Ministry of,20.73% from a year earlier. Data from the Ministry of Commerce showed the kingdom exported rice valued at US$2.56 billion in the first seven months of 2023, an increase of 20.73% from a year earlier. -
Thank you for the information. Most of the things I have learnt about cannabis and similar came from the cannabis forum. I saw the doctor at the hospital at Kamphaeng Phet yesterday and asked him if CBD oil would help. He was not sure and asked me to come back in a week and he will have talked to colleagues and read up about it. I find that the Health forum is very helpful though there are many keyboard doctors an surgeons here.

just because it works for you doesn't mean to say that it will work for everybody, I just did a simple internet search and came up with this link. https://www.healthline.com/health/sativa-vs-indica#cannabis-strain-chart There are at least 15 different strains of cannabis and sativa with CBD contents ranging from 0,1% to 6% and and a THC ranging from 13 to 30%. They also vary in the conditions that they can treat. From the link Remember: The potency of cannabinoids and terpenes vary among growers, and while certain strains may be helpful for certain conditions, your own experience may vary. There is much more information in the link if anyone is interested. Thank you for making me do a search, as I am looking to find something to relieve osteoarthritis in both knees and a persistent back pain. I had not realised that there were so many different variations.

The Met Police WON'T ban Poppy Day pro-Palestine rally
billd766 replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
I have no idea. Do you? Why do you believe that these protests are hate marches. Do people HAVE to believe and do what you think and believe. Are people not allowed to protest against Israel slaughtering innocent men, women and children? quote "but a lot of people think that this is a deliberate attempt to antagonise people paying their respects!" How many is a lot, compared with an estimated 70,000 protestors? Are people not allowed to have different opinions anymore? Do you realise that most Remembrance Day celebrations actually take place across the whole of the UK and other parts of the world, and not just the Cenotaph?- 696 replies

Cabinet Approves 55 Billion Baht Rice Price Stability Measures

In your opinion, you are right and millions of Thais are wrong. Not to mention the millions of tons of Thai rice exports to other countries. Purely out of curiosity, how much rice do you eat a year? -

Then of course, you will pay even more for rice, as Indian rice has import taxes added. -

I presume that is your opinion and not the same as the 70,xxx people who wish to protest. Does it not occur to you that the servicemen and women who died in the wars, died for the right for anyone to protest? Will the protestors be at the Cenotaph or somewhere else? -

Having lived in my wife's house in rural Kamphaeng Phet for the last 19 years, I would venture to suggest, that based on many of your previous posts, that it is most probably you that is dysfunctional. We I/have had no problems in the whole of that time. The local villages have always been friendly and helpful as have those in the big village 6 km away. I am known to many Thais in both villages by my first name, and never have any problems.

Cannibis Pills/Liquid for Pain Relief
billd766 replied to TroubleandGrumpy's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
I found it an interesting and informative link also. I am not sure how good it will be for my wonky knees and I have grown used to/accepted/ignored my back pain since my accident in 1982. My back pain sometimes sneaks up on me and reminds me that it is still there. I have found this particularly good and helpful to me. -

Thank you for the links. They are a good read and well worth consideration. I certainly learnt from them. -
To do that you have to believe that the Israeli government and the IDF are as pure white as the New York slush at the end of a day. I gave up believing all governments and military spokespersons decades ago. They all put a favourable spin for themselves whether it is the truth or simply propaganda. Yet you seem to believe Israel's figures and accept them without question. A simple question for you. If you see a dead Palestinian man, woman or child on a street , how can you tell if the body was a Hamas "terrorist"/"freedom fighter" or simply an innocent victim. You could ask a local who will tell you one thing, or an IDF soldier who will tell you something else, or you could ask a news reporter (if there any left alive in Gaza), who may tell you something else. Now which one of them would be telling the truth? Remember, you and you alone have to decide, and you have no idea about the dead person at all.

Can you please explain the difference. Both leadership have expressed the desire to wipe each other out. Neither side cares about the fate of the innocent men, women and children of either side. IMHO the best solution is to put the top 500 members on either side into a completely sealed area, naked, no food or water and NO weapons. Let them kill each other if they want. You would probably only need to do that 2 or 3 times before somebody on either side comes up with a peace plan that works. If not then keep repeating until it does work. Personally I would like to see all the countries in the world led and staffed entirely by women. They are so much smarter than men and mostly more honest too.

The Israeli's probably will beat Hamas in Gaza, but Hamas is not just confined to Gaza, they are in most Arab countries as well. Will Israel, under Netanyahu then start attacking its neighbour countries. If they do, where will they stop. Netanyahu wants to kill, murder, slaughter every man woman and child in Gaza to eliminate Hamas. Make a wild stab in the dark guess. Go into whataboutery if you wish. Having achieved his aim of wiping out Hamas in Gaza what will he do with the land? The sad thing for him is that he will have earned the hatred of millions of people world wide, and for what? What will the US do about him. More importantly what will Russia and China do about him? What will all the Arab and Muslim states do about him?

Actually he was not fired at all, Merely suspended. Suspended is NOT FIRED. https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/05/world/middleeast/amichay-eliyahu-israel-minister-nuclear-bomb-gaza.html#:~:text=Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel took the highly unusual, with the threat from Hamas. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel took the highly unusual step on Sunday of suspending a far-right minister from his government, after the minister said that dropping a nuclear bomb on Gaza and killing everyone there was “one way” of dealing with the threat from Hamas. Mr. Netanyahu’s swift action came amid an immediate and broad outcry over the comments made on Sunday morning by Amichay Eliyahu, the minister of heritage from the ultranationalist Jewish Power party. In his remarks, made to a Hebrew radio station, Mr. Eliyahu also said that there was no such thing as noncombatants in Gaza. Still, his abrupt suspension appeared to reflect Mr. Netanyahu’s concerns both over the low levels of public confidence in his leadership, as shown by recent opinion polls, and the challenges Israel faces in maintaining international support amid its assault in Gaza, particularly given the high civilian death toll there. In a statement on Sunday, Mr. Netanyahu called Mr. Eliyahu’s remarks “disconnected from reality.” Israel and its military “act according to the highest standards of international law in order to prevent harm to noncombatants, and we will continue to do so until victory,” he added.

Why don't you search the internet and find out which country most Americans threatens them the most. Which country slaughters the most innocent American men, women and children indiscriminately. You may well find it is the USA with massacres happening weekly in schools, shopping malls and even on the streets, Your fellow Americans are the biggest threat to your fellow Americans.

Cannibis Pills/Liquid for Pain Relief
billd766 replied to TroubleandGrumpy's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
I left home for a 1 hour drive to the hospital and spent 2 hours in a wheelchair waiting to see the doctor. At Kamphaeng Phet the staff are very helpful and farang friendly. They did all the paperwork for me, found me a chair and a porter found a wheelchair and took me to all the right places whilst my wife parked the truck. I got to see the doctor and explained about my dodgy kneecap and bad back and asked him if CBD oil or Etoricoxib 30/60/90/120 mg would be good for me to use. His initial reaction was, that either would probably be OK but he would like to do a bit more research before saying yes or no. So I need to see him again in a week. Whichever way the result comes out I know that at the least a professional has looked it up and done some research, and if it is yes, I also know that I will get the correct dosage and it won't be something a cannabis shop has cooked up in the back room with no idea of how much THC Somchai has dumped in the cooking pot. I don't want to smoke cannabis, nor do I want to take unknown amounts into my body. I simply want it as a pain reliever for medical reasons. Sorry to put you off for a week but I would rather be safe than sorry. I will definitely keep you, and any sensible poster informed. -
Axelrod suggests Biden drop out of 2024 presidential race
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
IMHO I think that he should retire at the end of this term. President Biden is 18 months older than me and I am surprised that he can still be the POTUS. He will be 82 by the 2024 election and, if he wins and lives on to complete the next term he will be 86. It doesn't matter how good his doctors and hospital are, you cannot argue with age. At my age and at his age your body slows down as do your mental faculties. Many times I havr gone to do something and completely forgot what iy was when I got there. Not a big problem for me as I usually remember what it was a few minutes later. But I am not the leader of the most powerful country in the world, on duty for 8 hours a day and on call 24/7/365. If I make a mistake it doesn't matter very much, but he makes a mistake it could be disastrous for the world. There ought to be a law stating that ALL politicians should retire on or before their 65th birthday. -
