The first time I took about 60 sheets for each and the laminated copies of the important translated documents. She threw over 20 in each stack away and sent us home after telling my wife (in Thai of course) what she wanted. They have moved offices 4 times in the last 10 years and they are now in what looks like a purpose built place with plenty of good parking and about 70km from our house.

Does the Copy Marriage Certificate (Khor Ror 3) + Original 3) Marriage Certification (Khor Ror 2) - from Amphur only apply to marriages conducted in Thailand? We give them a Khor Ror 22 and a copy of the Amphur marriage registration as we married in the UK. We also give a copy of the original and certified translation of the UK marriage licence plus a copy of our sons birth certificate in English and Thai.

Last week I did a 90 day extension and asked if they had a copy of the requirements. They did, but in Thai. I asked my wife to help translate it to English, but her English is not good enough and neither is that of my Thai neighbour. AFAIK this is for KPP only but the majority "should" apply to most offices. It comes out as an ACDSee photo image If anyone can help I would be grateful.

Why are there so many haters on this site?

Personally, I don't think that the 90 day report treats me like a criminal. It take 20 minutes from my life every 3 months as I prefer to do it at their office. As for storing our data, do you not think the IO in the field would not welcome the opportunity to store the documents on line, as it would be much easier and less work for them? They have most probably sent the message up the line to head office, but to change the rules/law would have to be done at parliamentary level, and there is no money in it for them. Expats like us on the forum who have been here a long time realise that shouting, screaming and complaining get you nowhere , and NO they have not lost their bolos, but simply accept that there are things we can change and things that we cannot change, and we have learned the difference. Did it ever occur to you that what you are ranting on about had been covered time and time again through ages past. Those people who are wise have learned from the experience, and those who have not learned? Well, you can read about them on the forum any day. -

I don't think it is Immigration 100%. I use the Kamphaeng Phet office and I find that the front office staff are farang friendly and helpful, as was the office I used in Nakhon Sawan before KPP opened. I go 4 or 5 times a year and I usually take a bag of fruit to give to the older lady that actually does the extensions. I think that she shares it around the front office staff and I always get a wai and a smile. Is it a bribe? IMHO it is a gift, because if I didn't want to give it I wouldn't. Most times I am doing a 90 day report and I am in and out in 5 minutes. -

I still call it Thai visa. Would you like me to send you a key to wind me up? -
That happened in Venezuela when I was there. The coup failed, the Airforce generals flew to Columbia in a Hercules. When the Columbians asked Venezuela if they wanted the generals back, the Venezuelans politely said no but please send the aircraft back and any of the troops who want to come home. But please keep the generals, as we don't want them.

AFAIR the rules were brought in because people were unable to get a flight back to their home country and I am quite happy for that to happen. However there are flights back to almost any country in the world now so there is no need for a "Covid" extension any more. If people want to stay in Thailand then get a proper visa and extend on that. If they don't want a proper visa such as you, I and thousands of other expats did/do then go back to their own countries and start again.

Actually it is NOT a trial but an enquiry. A trial ma y or may not be the result, depending on the Attorney General and the Public prosecutors. Apart from that you appear to believe a proven serial liar who has consistently refused to go before the investigative committee, where dozens of other people including members of his own staff have gone, most willingly and some unwillingly. What I cannot understand is how he refuses to accept the reality that he LOST. Many of his supporters feel the same and it seems that you do as well.

But that was 46 years ago and Thailand is far more visible internationally now than it was then Whilst the military have large numbers, the majority are unwilling conscripts who also have guns. In addition they have mobile phones and access to the internet. What would the military leaders do if the conscripts refuse to shoot the protestors? Remember that they also have guns and if you shoot a few there are a lot more left, and they will not be happy troops.

Two more egg merchants report dozens of eggs stolen
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
Many years ago my wife ran a small shop and noodle place across from a Thai christian village. As the OP did, she gave credit to a few people who never paid their bill. After that the place ran for a while with less and less customers because of her NO MORE credit rule until she closed it. She later rented it twice to other people and strongly advised them not to give credit. Of course they ignored her and went bust. The last one didn't even pay the electricity bill, which my wife took from the deposit before returning the balance. If you want to eat, have the money. The banks lend money but don't sell food. I used to have sympathy once upon a time, but the few bad apples spoil it for the majority. -
Man charged with raping Ohio girl, 10, who was denied abortion
billd766 replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
quote "How on earth do you rationalize the time limit in France, or Germany, or many other developed countries? They’re secretly on their way to zero weeks for permitting abortion right." If it is secret, how do YOU know about it?
