Seriously? If in doubt don't. There, wasn't that easy? -
What did your parents die of?

Mother- diabetes Father- old age. -
In that case, my advice is to do whatever it takes to keep wife happy. An unhappy wife is hell- I speak from experience.

Bureaucrats are the agents of hell, IMO. They have always made my life difficult. My paradise bans anyone that was a bureaucrat ( or a politician ).

My genetics predispose me to get fat, but I like junk food. I want to eat loads of sugar. I don't want to eat "healthy" food- it's boring, bland and unenjoyable. In paradise I can eat sugar all day and not get fat.

How many ICE cars catch fire when sitting in a car park? Normally takes a collision to do that. You equivalence is false IMO. -
Probably people that didn't have what it takes to be the best, and now sore losers.

Unless the governor has also banned mention of the hurricane or its size, climate change is irrelevant, whatever causes it. You are trying to use a hurricane to score cheap political points IMO.

The constitution is not to blame. It was written before the travesty of life time politicians existed, and in any event no one lived as long as to become senile on the job. It can be amended, but the chance of them voting to deprive themselves of a lifetime career feasting from the taxpayer trough is nil, IMO.

Yes she did visit the border, following which nothing changed. As for "visiting" Europe- sitting in a tin can for a few hours, travelling in a motorcade to a conference, and returning to the plane for another few hours flight back to the US, does not count as getting to know a foreign country. She could have done that by video conference and saved a few tons of aviation fuel and traffic congestion.

I have not seen anything from Drake to suggest he is a Trump supporter. Perhaps you can back that claim up with some actual proof. I won't hold my breath waiting.

Why Men Are Rejecting Marriage
thaibeachlovers replied to save the frogs's topic in Political Soapbox
Marriage was a good idea when the wife had to stay home to look after the kids and cook the meals while husband worked. It's a bad idea now that only benefits women, IMO. Who would drive a car if there was a 50% chance of dying in an accident? -
So, he says something as bad as Clinton with her deplorables insult, but pretends to be a good guy- IMO he's just another rude arrogant politician infesting Washington, which is why Trump was elected before. He should keep on insulting as it may inspire voters to choose Trump, just as the deplorables remark probably won it for Trump.

Trump Surges in Latest Top Poll 538 Predictions

If, as I assume, any change to the EC would require a constitutional amendment, you can kiss that idea goodbye. No way the less populated states will allow anything that reduces their chances of electing a POTUS. -
Just promoting the idea of destroying the mosque to build a temple will inflame millions of Muslims all over the world. If it happened it would be a blatant provocation that could not be ignored by the tame regimes that control such as Saudi and Egypt. It would not signal the "end of the world", but almost certainly the end of israel as it is. As always, the above is my opinion.

The situation in the war in Lebanon descends into farce IMO, as netanyahu gives the finger salute to Biden and Co re a ceasefire. I'll let the headlines say it. https://apnews.com/article/biden-israel-hezbollah-war-ff2ec626f5d8883014f577b9a0cfaf1e US and allies call for an immediate 21-day cease-fire between Israel and Hezbollah https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2024/09/26/israel-hamas-war-gaza-latest-news-hezbollah-ceasefire/ Netanyahu rejects US-led ceasefire plan as Israeli jets strike Beirut

Yes. I just corrected my post. I was going by personal experience and of the thousands of cataract surgeries I assisted with, none detached during surgery. However, I can't say if there was a problem post op. Unless complications occur ( very rarely ), the ops are done under local and take about 15 to 20 minutes for a good surgeon not rushing. I think the real superstars of cataracts can do one in about 5 minutes, but I'd never let one of them near my eyes.

Good. I am familiar with opthalmic surgery and would never recommend lazer reshaping of the cornea. Too easy for complications. If your eyes are in any way a potential problem you do not under any circumstances want to go on price. Just because someone is a professor, it means nothing practical wise. You want someone that has a high number of cases done, preferably in the thousands, with an absence of complications. You also want someone that doesn't have a high number of patients per session- speed is not good for cataracts. Try and interview some previous patients.
