  1. Likewise my Note 10, recently updated to MIUI14/Android 13.
  2. Well, let's use the current "Wise" rate shall we? £124.99 will bring in THB5310.70. So we're both wrong.
  3. England in 2022, £124.99. Must be similar in Bangkok I'd have thought (if still available) although their prices do seem to fluctuate wildly up and down.
  4. Redmi 10 Pro (4g). THB 5000. Perfect phone for my needs. Fast, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage. Fantastic camera;
  5. There's something rather sad about this thread.
  6. It is cancelled in the UK system when the application is received there but as they don't tell anybody outside of the UK it remains perfectly usable for travel although if anybody actually checked for whatever reason it may cause some issues.
  7. You don't pay VFS. Payment is by card and is taken in the UK by HMPO. Your card has to be valid for payments in the UK. It does not have to be your own card, the payment form is submitted with the application. All you need is here; https://www.passport.service.gov.uk/overseas/information/thailand/renew/adult? You don't actually have to attend yourself. You could send someone, with an authorisation letter, on your behalf both to submit the application and to collect the new passport.
  8. I believe so, here, https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/ But in case you don't it appears not the end of the world, from FAQ's; "Travellers are strongly encouraged to submit their SG Arrival Card before arriving in Singapore, as those who have not done so will be required to submit on arrival before they can proceed for immigration clearance. This will delay their immigration clearance unnecessarily."
  9. Correct, but as pointed out most UK passport holders go through the e-gates which she cannot so will need to be a manned UK entry, which there will be at least for the e-gate users whose passports cannot be read (such as mine).
  10. You cannot be sure as nothing is certain. Immigration most likely (99%) won't ask for anything. The airline may (50%) ask at check-in in Germany. You ought to be OK with your 59 day ticket telling them you will extend and having your wife with you might be helpful, but the only way to be sure is to have an onward ticket within 30 days. You can just buy a cheap real ticket or a rental ticket, either way won't cost much, probably not needed but would give you peace of mind. Or buy an expensive real ticket which will get refunded if you cancel. Or get a tourist visa (which will likely cost more than a cheap onward ticket).
  11. I'd be worried to, have you seen a doctor?
  12. I think you will find that the poster is well aware of that fact.
  13. I've found them pretty good at refunds and other payment issues. Sounds like a Promptpay issue, what does the bank say?
  14. Here's some gov.uk (from https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/change-of-name-guidance/use-and-change-of-names) on the subject; "Dual nationals Normally dual nationals will be expected to align the name on their foreign passport or identity card with the names requested on Home Office issued documents. However, where individuals can provide evidence that they are unable to change their name in their foreign issued documents, the Home Office will exceptionally consider allowing them to use a different name in a Home Office issued document (see Annex A). This may include married naturalised British citizens who are unable to change the family name on their foreign passport due to legal requirements. Such individuals may also be asked to provide evidence that they are living in the new name for all other official purposes. Where, in exceptional circumstances, a different name is allowed for dual nationals then this will be recorded on Home Office systems and as an observation in the British Passport."
  15. There have been reports on here (and elsewhere) recently of London issuing them.
  16. See here.....(there are several other threads on the subject);
  17. You can't convert in-country. You can; - leave and re-enter visa exempt, hopefully you do NOT have a re-entry permit. - make sure you have THB800k in your bank. - at immigration apply for single non-O based on retirement, gives a 90 day permission to stay. - in the last 30 days apply for extension of stay based on retirement.
  18. You "must" provide it only if you have one, or had one, and it tells you how to get a copy if you don't have the original. It also tells you what to do for non-UK documents. Your Thai divorce papers will suffice, in Thai.
