Reckon everyone on the planet would fit into one of those categories. It certainly makes me one.

The city needs a couple of "Park and Rides" somewhere over the dark side maybe. When I visit town, I always park in the big temple car park near the lights on Second/South Pattaya Rd and either walk or take a baht bus to where I want to go. I'm 80 yoa next birthday and have no problem unless it's raining. Of course some with disabilities can't do this. Fortunately, the supermarkets I use are either on or near Sukhumvit, so I don't go into town much.

I removed Adblock, but I still can't view Youtube on Chrome. Downloaded Microsoft Edge and I can watch it fine, albeit with ads.

Well, I was served by an AI waitress that looked like a walking frame and played an annoying tune when it walked a few days back, so anything's possible.

I can't imagine my missus laughing while someone drowns, so I doubt that it's a cultural thing. Although saying that, on a wet pavement pavement in Jomtien I slipped and went down very hard on my ass. A local woman coming the other way laughed and walked on. All that was hurt was my dignity, but if it had been now, some twelve or so years later, it could have been a problem.

Opinion It is time to abolish the death penalty in Thailand
jesimps replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Emphatically NO! There are a lot of innocent people who are rotting in their grave now, murdered by monsters who've been imprisoned for murder and let out early. Even those who've had their death sentence commuted to life imprisonment rarely serve the full life term. I guarantee not many completely innocent people have been wrongly convicted and executed. If they have, it's probably because of their long criminal record. I also think that those found guilty should be executed not long after being sentenced to cut out these costly appeals. One quick appeal and if it fails, the sentence should be carried out in days in my opinion. I couldn't argue with that if I was a guilty of murder. -
a half teaspoon of any instant coffee to give it bite, plus a heaped spoon of Arabica ground in a filter bag. Heaped spoon of Coffee Mate and that to me is perfection

Thai woman calls justice after Thai man attacks her Belgian husband

At 70 yoa? Regarding foreigners, there seems to be no respect here for age. -
Thais are largest group of dead foreigners in Israel

I think they just require foreigners to work as hard as they do. -
Bet you've made the goody goodies on here go into a deep depression. They thrive on being holier than thou.

I'd rather return to UK! If you knew how I felt about my home country these days, you'd realise how profound a statement that is.

Still doesn't fool anyone that he's cuffed. When I was in the British Army, another guy and I had to escort a prisoner who'd gone AWOL from Anglesey to Catterick. We weren't allowed to cuff the guy (a big Irishman) so it was a long stressful train journey for us in case he tried to do a runner. Fortunately, he was as good as gold.

Pedestrianise Bua Khau except for ambulances and make a new baht bus route up and down Third Road. Make all fat falang regain the use of their legs.

Maybe going into competition with that new place that that bolshy cretni Gordon Ramsey's opening there. I learned early on that in this country, the customer isn't always right.

Several years ago now a mate of mine jumped off a baht bus to help a Thai woman getting battered by a Thai guy. Both of them started in on my mate, quickly joined by half a dozen motorbike taxi guys. He's no wimp but he ended up getting beat up pretty badly, especially by the woman.

Disappointment in Srettha’s Putin Phuket invitation
jesimps replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Thailand is a signatory of the Hague Convention and as such are committed to carrying out the arrest warrant against Putin for war crimes. So were South Africa of course. If countries have no intention of carrying out their responsibilities unless it benefits them, then why sign the festering document in the first place? -
I think I've gone native for too long.

Agree with your observation "No sneakers = you never exercise. I wear trainers every other day to go for my jog around the golf course perimeter, however, after nearly seventeen years living here, my shoe size has gone from ten to twelve (UK). I put it down to walking around barefoot or wearing sandals most of the time. -
If Thailand refused you, where would you live? And why?

In UK we tend to call those things permanently parked a mobile home for some reason. Caravans are what you drag behind a car. -
You've never visited here either. Just exist in darkest Isaan wishing that you could, but the wife won't let you. So you take it out on those of us that love Pattaya. I've been here getting on 17 years and wouldn't live anywhere else in Thailand.

Russian Tourist Arrested in Pattaya for Causing a Public Nuisance
jesimps replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
If he's here dodging the draft, deportation's the last thing he needs. Better to have kept his head under the parapet. -
Need a genius to sort this out....please.

Tried driving through Bangkok twice using Garmin GPS. Got hopelessly lost twice. First time ended up in Monument Square. That was 16 years ago, it was luck more than judgement that I'm not still crawling around their now. Took me eight hours to get from Pattaya to Kanchanaburi!
