  1. I drink a hot ginger infusion every day. Buy 5 bags at a time as you can keep in the fridge and re heat. Anti inflammatory so good for arthritis. Sometimes go for the hot patango while I'm at it but not too often. Delicious but pretty unhealthy. Also buy a khao klukapi sometimes if we can't be bothered to cook. Very nice.
  2. Jeez. Give it a rest and move on or write something interesting about Spanish flu.
  3. Lol. God bless mums. More loyalty than a dozen Labradors albeit a bit blind sometimes.
  4. No rich people in Thailand pay much tax. If there is one thing they all have in common it is tax evasion. Not like us foreigners . When it was announced that after 180 days in country money sent to us from overseas would be taxed we were perfectly OK with it.
  5. The Judge Jeffreys are out in force today.
  6. Bingo ! Had exact same problem. Too stingy to get a new chair and was sitting on a balcony chair with my legs elevated up on top of cabinet in a kind of V shape with the apex being the bottom of my spine. Many hours sitting in that chair like that over many months. Doctor in Uk said it was sciatica . So....back in Thailand got a new padded computer chair and from Mr DIY a large memory gel cushion to sit on. Stopped sitting with my legs so high up. A month later , more or less back to normal. The doctor advised me not to give up walking as this would help build muscle as additional support. Back then , to walk a hundred yards was agony with every step. But I put up with the pain and walked through it. After a kilometer it was a lot better. Within a week I was doing ten mile walks with no pain. The more I walked the better it got. Back to normal now ....lesson learnt. Maintain a good posture when sitting for many hours and rest frequently.
  7. Should have seen Wolf. He does a very good job.
  8. Around these parts this is the only time of year you can actually work outdoors for any length of time. In the hot season even taking the rubbish out has to be done at a sprint.
  9. Amazing Thailand .................. Yes Unseen Thailand .......................er....not really.
  10. Quick . Give them a furnished council house , a nice car and unemployment benefit . That'll learn ' em and will serve has a stark warning to others.
  11. Oh yes , I believe you The ' I think she fancies me , I'm on to a winner ' face
  12. Three pages not enough eh ? Want to shoot for 6. Yea why not. Push the boat out and go the whole hog.
  13. You write a semi plausible ficticious piece including dwarves and you can toss them all the way down Sukhumvit. Bound to run for three pages or more.
  14. We've had a two butch dikes and ladyboy thread , now two big guys and small Thai girl thread . I suppose we will be getting a two dwarfs and old milf thread tomorrow. 🙄
  15. Maybe a rocket in his pocket ?
  16. I used to start with the lips and work my way down. Never did get as far as the legs. Some girls don't like hairy chests or faces either.
  17. As you get older you become a higher risk . If you have a serious health issue down the road they know it could cost them a lot. As you get older they see the chance of making a profit from you diminish and the chance of making a loss from you increase. The big increase has two functions. One , to help offset the cost of any future expensive treatment . 2 ) To ' burn you off ' as a customer before the higher risk becomes more inevitable. Insurance companies are not benign altruistic friends. Their prime concern is their profit not your health. Just the way it is.
  18. It would make a change to read that when someone calls for violent back up , the potential victim blows a whistle and from the shadows their own back up , three times in number , emerges and gives the new arrivals a thorough drubbing. Instant Karma
  19. I must have been lucky then. Some 40 years ago I was there and checked into a dump called the White House Hotel. Nearby I found a Cafe serving breakfast. Toast , ham eggs etc. The waitress wanted to practice her English. Took me out in the evening after work to show me some MTV places she enjoyed. I ended up moving in with her a week later. In the meantime I was also befriended by two female students who also showed me around. All in all I found the local women refreshingly open and honest and all insisted on American shares for everything. Even bought me gifts ! As for music, nice list but check out some new Indy stuff. A lot out there. YouTube Solarium by The Groovy Nobody. Others of note , Skinshape , common saints , psychedelic octopus. Far Caspian....too many to list. And yes, Saxophone club is good. Been there forever.
  20. Hope the whole lot are caught and given long prison sentences. The woman too. Cowardly scumbags.
  21. These people are like square pegs in round holes in European society. Coming from places where women are oppressed and rarely seen out alone in public , their cultural upbringing and sexual suppression gets the better of them and its all just too much temptation. Well, this is one Sultan that won't be swinging for five years. Great job by the two officers. This is what the police should be doing , catching criminals not knocking on peoples doors mob handed over some trivial hate speach on social media.
  22. IMO , there is still a lack of clarity about a certain DWP requirements. Suppose youlive in the UK and maintain a UK address. However , you decide to take a late Gap year out to go traveling with a view to finding an overseas place to retire to. During your travels the annual pension rise occurs but as you have been traveling for 7 months you are not entiotled to it. In addition, when you left you were told you have to report any change of address you make. So, are you supposed to telephone the DWP every time you check in to a new hotel in a new country ??? When you return to the UK does your pension go up to what it would have been before you left ? The whole thing sounds like a badly thought out can of worms . The UK government should be glad retirees choose to live overseas in a cheaper country. If they were all obliged to return to the UK because without annual pension rises they can't survive , they would then not only get the full pension on their return but many would get other benefits to boot , disability benefit , housing benefit , attendance allowance etc
  23. In our second home we went for granite kitchen tops. What we found is the greyish one we chose hid the dirt on the surface very well because of the speckled pattern which camoflaged it Small bits of food waste were almost invisible unless you crouched down and got an eye level view across the edge. Even after wiping had to do this to make sure the surface was clean. Next house went back to regular tiles for this reason.
  24. Hope they throw the book at that streetlamp. Injuring a man having a little snooze. Terrible.
