It must be 8 years since this building was abandoned before completion. What's the plan, take it down or just leave it there forever? 50 floors of Condo's, so many people must have lost millions of baht in this fiasco ????

I'm picturing lines down the road on Friday like at immigration ????

When I was last here in Nov 19 Treetown to me was just a few bars and a VW booze van on a corner of Bukhao next to Beer Hub. Pleasantly surprised that the place is massive now with bars wall to wall on both sides of the Soi for over 100m and then turn right for another 50m of bars. Quite impressive growth ????

Non Imm O Retirement Extension - Jomtien
aussiexpat replied to scubascuba3's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Condo and Houses are treated differently. My Chanote is in my name as I own a Condo (100%) which is allowed as long as the entire Condo block is not more than 49% foreign owned. -
Non Imm O Retirement Extension - Jomtien
aussiexpat replied to scubascuba3's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have a Chanote and Blue Book. The blue book is worthless for me to use for residence though as foreigner name is not allowed to be in it. -
Ok thanks, but that doesn't really help me as this is in the Pattaya forum ???? (have updated my post to mention Jomtien)

Anyone know if the lines at Jomtien immigration have reduced now that the covid extension deadline of last week has passed?

Did a visit to first part of Walking Street last night. Stones, Rock House. Fahrenheit and Lucifers all open, not with crowds but people in all with some good bands playing. Windmill and Le Pub pretty busy on soi 15. There's some life left in the old girl yet ???? Note: there were free ATK's at WS entrance, while some clubs were charging 120 baht

Property Taxes Will Be Billed in Feb., Must Be Paid by April
aussiexpat replied to Banana7's topic in Pattaya
I'm pretty sure they wiped all previous years, just look for latest bill with 85-90% discount if you pay... -
In response to several posts telling me to stop posting here about bars in a bar thread because it's not my personal blog/account, maybe other members should get out more and post as well? Me personally, when I was locked out for 26 months any news of bar happenings made me happy to know that I could come back soon. Obviously not the "I'm in Thailand so stuff you crowd".

After a 3 day self imposed ban for reacting to forum posters, I'm really sorry to report that I saw 5 mosquito in a random bar toilet. As everything I report is my fault, I'm now sorry if anyone catches any of the following ???? In Thailand, mosquitoes are responsible for spreading dengue fever, Japanese encephalitis, lymphatic filariasis, and malaria Meanwhile, beach road bars are packed as the Bangkok week-end crowd seem to be visiting, beach road is very busy traffic

TM30 form completion.
aussiexpat replied to HKexpat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You need to relax a little. A TM30 is easy to do and is free and you only need to do it if intending to go to immigration for something during your current trip. As for timing, the official rule is within 24 hours, but they officially allow up to 72 hours without applying the 1600 baht fine. In reality, they show common sense in that if you arrive Friday lunchtime they know you can't get to immigration until they open on Monday. I've even gone on a Wednesday after Friday arrival and no fine. They are happy you just do it in my opinion
