I'd like to start growing some veggies, like lettuce and kale, using hydroponics. Can anyone recommend a "starter" hydroponic system that can be purchased online. I'm not looking for anything elaborate or large. Just a system for growing enough greens for personal home use.

I'm looking for a commercial potting soil that can be purchased online that is good for starting really small seeds such as Sweet Basil seeds. The local nurseries carry brands that are simply too course for seed propagation. Right at the moment I've got a ton of volunteer Thai Basil in my yard but it sucks for pesto and Italian cooking which I do a lot of. So I want to get enough Sweet Basil going in the yard so that it will volunteer like the Thai Basil. But I've got to get it started first (which I'm trying to do this year) and have had lousy luck using local, course commercial dirt to get those tiny seeds started.

Yeah - the sun is an issue. It's got a lamyai tree branch right over it. I'm going to remove that branch later in the year, but I've bought two more sapling that I've planted in the full sun. I've also clipped the leaves at the ends of some of the branches and the branches I've done that too that get the most sun have begun to develop more branches. Also using a 15-15-15 fertilizer in conservative amounts weekly. Seems to work. I've asked the wife to get me some ox poo but she never gets around to it. I'll check the local farm shops for that other types of fertilizer. And I've got a good supply of mulch and compose so I'll work on soil quality as well.

Age and hormonal changes. Muscle breaks down, fat content increases, stamina decreases. You can offset it to a point, but eventually age wins. I was highly athletic up into my 60s and then the inevitable begins to happen, usually starting with injuries which simply no longer healed with the speed they use to. Then your athleticism takes a hit. At some point you gotta just start developing acceptance. Being all ripped becomes less important than simply having a solid exercise program and working on quality of life.

My T-levels are actually above normal, morning wood is a daily morning occurrence, and for the most part I don't give a da*m about sex with my 64 year old, post-menopausal wife - too much work.
