  1. Where did you find this email address? Seems that a server named wise-team.site does not exist. https://wise.com/help/articles/2932695/watch-out-for-phishing
  2. No FB? https://www.facebook.com/Wise/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/wise Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/wiseaccount/ The contact form seems to be reserved for registered users: https://wise.com/login/?redirectUrl=/help/contact
  3. Was open on July 17 and they pushed me to this office until I convinced them that I DON'T want a re-entry permit
  4. A site like www.bbc.com is safe and encrypted. Can be accessed with a Thai IP. Facebook giving this error message? No way. Bypassing the trouble message with a VPN just covers a problem with your device or browser. That is well possible, although it would need to be checked individually site by site. Of course many sites do geoblocking (BBC Sports sounds like). There seem to many posters who manage their Thai bank account from abroad and no word about Thai VPN server. So no general statement is possible.
  5. Yes, but how many sites have been left that do not encrypt anyway? And encrypted traffic to a server in Thailand? What kind of security do you expect in a country where there is basically no protection from government surveillance?
  6. It needs a suicidal attitude to participate in a bicycle competition on Thai roads that are not closed to traffic. How crazy irresponsible is that!!!
  7. Maybe there is a chance that the airport is opened earlier. The plane has been pulled back on the tarmac this morning at 4 AM. See damages on front landing gear and engine housing. From khaosod.co.th. (click to enlarge)
  8. If you are in Thailand(?) what would be the attraction to use a Thai VPN? Little to none. NordVPN also has a Thai VPN server. It can only be of interest to show up as being in Thailand (geolocation). There is no effect on other VPN locations.
  9. Best of above WiKi says: สะพานเทียบเครื่องบิน (sà-paan tîiap krêuuang bin) https://th.wikipedia.org/wiki/สะพานเทียบเครื่องบิน
  10. ? And no action taken ? Continue with the bank? Strange story at least. Dealing through the call center. What can go wrong there?
  11. Same useless nonsense like on previous occasions. Covid zone near stage, arbitrary mass gathering outside. I have experienced the same in Dec 2020. I don't really understand which roads are closed. If they close beach AND 2nd rd there will be another hilarious chaos on Soi Buakhao.
  12. Can't fix stupid designed vehicles. Nice weather design for Thailand? Does such a scooter have a high voltage battery (like the cars)?
  13. My experience at Nong Khai: officer didn't want me leave. Sent me to some room. ? Re-entry permit. Officer thought I had forgotten. No thanks! I had to persuade three officers that I want to cancel the visa. On return some raised eyebrow and I explained explicitly that I want 30 days to cancel the visa. No big hassle.
  14. As much as the news would be appreciated, the only source I found is the "other" newspaper. Has someone found confirmation?
  15. If this has been written the author must have been intoxicated. Flight departed 20:03, 18 minutes after schedule. Plane landed 21:05, 5 minutes after schedule.
  16. Even before a domestic flight touches the runway the beep beep ring ring starts ????
  17. From flight status site it looks like Chiang Rai airport is still closed for the second day in a row. No flight departed from DMK to CEI.
  18. The last status that I know is for sure that the bus from Suvarnabhumi to Jomtien bus station is operating. The bus does some stops alongs Sukhumvit before turning in to Jomtien. First stop just after leaving motorway. https://airportpattayabus.com/from-suvarnabhumi-airport/ (price increased to 143 Baht) The bus to the northern bus terminal with the van service to/from hotels still seems to be shut.
  19. Yes I saw it somewhere in English that the passengers were locked for more than an hour in the tube.
  20. My only experience is that even the smallest bottles of water, toothpaste, mustard ... name it ... will be confiscated at security and thrown to the bin. The sealed duty free bag works within the departure airport where you have passed security before. After arrival and entering the country what is is worth? Nothing. Every terrorist would have an easy game. Are you not familiar with the general rules for carry-on? And they are no different in Thailand for domestic. No way.
  21. I doubt very much that security will let you through with two bottles of liquid in carry-on whatever it is labelled/packaged. If that worked it would be easy to get around the 100 ml rule. (change contents after clearing BKK immigration/customs). Two bottles? As far as I know there is also no special allowance of more than one (1) liter of alcohol (whatever type) per adult traveler at Thai customs.
  22. You see the main landing gear. If you have Twitter, just search for "DD108". There is a picture from this morning where it sits unchanged.
  23. Well, I the terrain is simple grassland and heavy rain the wheels can sink deep.
