Are there any AIS mobile users experiencing problems with network coverage?
Quite confusing thread/title. As I understand it's about using an AIS SIM in the UK? So the title misleads to thinking about AIS coverage in Thailand while it is about a roaming problem? (O2)

Teenager dies in high-speed motorbike crash on Chonburi’s new tourist bridge
He would have died much earlier up here where speed bumps are close to invisible particularly at night. Even during the day some speeding courier pickups fly up and throw the load.

Such a shame - My yearly trip to Calif. Cities to avoid
Good to read from first hand. I sometimes stumble upon videos showing sidewalks or greens filled with tents and shacks of homeless people in misc US cities. Fentanyl zombies staggering. Horrible. It's ages (mid 90s) that I was in California and the world looked different.

Changing Thai Baht to Australian Dollar - Better to do it in Thailand or Australia?
Becomes a rare species. All German banks that I know have stopped that.

Changing Thai Baht to Australian Dollar - Better to do it in Thailand or Australia?
Easy said. Rely on one piece of plastic? Not for me. Always have alternatives and enough cash for at least a week.

Berlin Police seek to track down a brutal attacker who used a glass bottle to kill a Thai woman
The murderer is her Turkish ex boyfriend and business partner. She lived in constant fear of him after she wanted to separate. The Ex didn't want to accept the separation and insisted on another meeting. She was accompanied by another man who stood in the distance and could not intervene in time. The Ex has likely fled to Turkey. (source is a Berlin tabloid)

Scb ATMs disappearing in Pattaya?
And not only SCB or Krungthai. There is massive cost cutting going on nationwide. Removing ATMs, closing micro branches, closing full service branches. Bangkok Bank closed the micro branche at our district, closed at BigC Udon, etc.etc. Just look at Kasikorn Pattaya. 2009 opened account at Royal Garden. Gone. Move to Avenue. Gone. Move to Central. South Pattaya branch near Tukcom closed. Branch on Soi Buakhao is now a beer bar complex.

Bangkok Bank: 100k transfer [WEB/Mobile] OK?
I don't remember that any changes have been done to the web access (with the OTP). Best go to the website now and check all the limits. Be aware that there is not only limits per transaction but also limits per day.

How old is old enough? Enjoying the delights of Thailand at 18 or 20 yrs of age.
Let him look like half Korean or Japanese. The girls in GoGos and bars will jump on him, drag him in. A group of Koreans or Japanese entering a Gogo? You can call check bin and flee. But yes, the legal age of 20 would apply to foreigners too. I don't know how often one got in trouble about this. Completely different story for Thai men or Indian. Most girls will hide under the table.

Berlin Police seek to track down a brutal attacker who used a glass bottle to kill a Thai woman
As far as I understood there were no actual witnesses of the murdering. It happened close to her apartment about 3 km from her restaurant. The murderer might have ambushed her. There is still no trace of the murderer. Within the Thai community in Berlin all the things happen that you find here. Money lending/loan sharks, illegal gambling, losing a fortune at the legal Casino and of course all things "love". The warning from the Embassy might well indicate that Thais should look around/save their back. The murderer might be from the community.

How young can a young person take driving lessons legally?
I found very vague statements in the biggest Thai forum that say yes you can learn at the driving school if the instructor agrees. Multiple "yes you can", "I studied at 17" on another Thai site.

Border Crossing Service Nong Khai friendship Bridge.
It's so simple. Why need a car! service? Best he needs is a taxi to the Thai border checkpoint. Short walk, pass Thai Immigration, pay 30 Baht for the bus that takes you over the bridge. As a US citizen he will have to apply for a visa on arrival at the Lao checkpoint. Cost some 40? USD. Others will have the details. I am visa exempt, did the border run in July 22. Drove by car to the checkpoint. He will get 30 days on return.

Phuket braces for rain havoc: Urgent weather alert signals flood risk
Last week they made an alarm for northern Isaan along Mekong. Hardly some sprinkle. International weather forecast centers show nothing dramatic for Phuket for the coming days. 5 to 15 mm is far from flood risk. Check again next week.

Family of six survives crash in brand new pickup on first day of ownership in northern Thailand
One thing for sure: a typical wannabe sports car and not a utility vehicle which a pickup should be. All resulting from the stupid tax and fuel preferences. More metal for the money and fuel subsidized.
