Video: Movie man thinks he saw a UFO in the skies over Khon Kaen
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Laugh as much as you want. Yesterday and today after sundown (right now). Two exceptionally bright stationary objects to the western sky. Much brighter than any of the stars which are quite weak now due to light pollution. They are no stars. I will check again later in the evening. If they vanished it means there IS something high up lightened by the sun that sunk behind the horizon. That also means it is visible over a limited distance only. I guess there will be an explanation for the phenomenon. -
Do they X ray you and your bags when leaving the airport

That's about customs. If things haven't changed there is no security check on exit. -
Do they X ray you and your bags when leaving the airport

Do you have checked baggage? Priority baggage? That's the main uncertainty. Continue domestic from DMK? No more relaxed schedule available? -
It's not simply inflation. It's extremely bad for imported products. At BigC they have some French Casino products for which some prices have simply exploded. Cheese is particularly bad. Some Brie cost 179 until recently, now 304. Same for cheese spread. Was about 119 before Covid, last prices were about 140 now 322. 125 gr:

That goes to Phuket times Facebook page with the video. And indeed only a short video of an obviously longer ongoing quarrel: https://www.facebook.com/PhuketTimeNews/posts/pfbid02Fbb7kpJgBmxzkFvpNF96UC6ABCnhzoSLCvNbb4659GRuYwkojsfUGniu6uzxa6Rzl About 5 seconds into the video the knockout and then three Thai bouncers(?) use the chance to kick the victim on the ground.

Would have to close entry from Soi Buakhao and build a road/path to 2nd rd. As far as I know this fairly new stretch from Soi Buakhao to Skaw Beach is a private road? Otherwise what a mess.

You have an interesting scale for not long ago or be a real Pattaya pioneer. In the mid 2000s (have a picture from my hotel in Soi Lengkee from 2006) the area was fully developed. So if let's say if before 2004 is not long ago then maybe. My proof does not reach further back.

Up to now I only associated it with Babushka dolls (Matryoshka doll). Babushka means grandmother? Grandmothers at the pool? Guess not (or were there?). Or it's just a similar sounding word...

No. Photo finally taken with camera at the office and printed on the plastic card with some special machine. Machine spits out the new DL plastic card. Before happily running out carefully study the data. Personal data, type, validity and address on the backside. On renewals hopefully no errors made.

At our DLT yes. I read that some others won't accept (like Pattaya/Chonburi). Typical example for inconsistent administration in this country.

On two of my very few visits to Bangkok I stayed at the Stable Lodge. (I don't admire the mega city) Small familiar type hotel with "Nordic" touch. No highend but all I needed even a small pool. At the time it was about 1200 to 1400 per night. Now looks like close to 2000. And yes, Soi 8 was a good experience. Dead end Soi without the terrible through traffic.

Stihl Germany website does not show any "5200" model. None has a four digit number. All model names start with "MS", cheapest is MS 162 at about 200 Euro (~7000 Baht). And that has a smaller blade than this China thing. Found a video where some China <noname>5200 is compared with a genuine Stihl. I bet that the "5200" production has a line where they paint "Stihl" without any license. The 5200 thing works but poor workmanship. Don't expect a life time investment.

Fifteen Test Positive for Drugs in Pattaya Nightclub Raid
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
This is far from an old foreign g>u<ys hotspot. Young g>a<y Thais can stay up and particularly with some happy pills. Don't ask me what attracts the few females seen in the video. I could bet that a couple of years ago a club burnt down at the same spot. -
I suggest as the first step to do the "e-learning". It's basically watching videos interrupted by some simple questions. Takes a bit over an hour at your desk. In the end you get a certificate with QR code. https://www.dlt-elearning.com/ It's far from being a theory test (50 multiple choice questions at the office). Saves you from tutoring/sit in at the office. Only physical tests done (eye/color and reaction). As we don't have any queues up here (just walk in) I can't tell whether it makes a difference about length of queue. If you don't have a long drive to Buriram(?) try your luck there (medical certificate always needed now and proof of residence).

And of location of course. There is no "Thailand" tap water. Here in the village we use it for laundry, dishwashing, shower, sink incl. clean teeth. The water is not chlorinated. Dogs survive on it We don't drink it nor cook with it. And as far as I know none of the villagers does.

Thread about the same accident: https://aseannow.com/topic/1286710-two-electrical-workers-hurt-in-accident-on-route-331-in-pattaya-area/ But the photo in the Pattaya News shows that indeed they were working from a PEA truck/crane. Quite unprofessional. "Lucky" that they fell immediately otherwise they would not have survived.
