I went immediately in 2022 (30 day visa exempt). Border run Sunday 17.7.2022 (July). Apply Non-O on 19.7.2022 and got under consideration until 12.8.2022. Picked up Non-O on 6.8.2022 (didn't wait under consideration🙂). Issue date of Non-O was 2.8.2022 resulting in an "admitted until" 30.10.2022. Applied for extension on 4.10.2022 (almost as early as acceptable). Got extension until 30.10.2023. ... and so on So the new date for your extension is somewhat arbitrary and depends on when the boss signs the application. In my example 2.8. resulting in a look alike entry stamp admitted until 30.10. Since then 30 October is my extension due.

Was all over the news in Europe. So no surprise for me that it skyrockets here. I use it rarely for salads. Of course not for the frying pan!

Mama's noodle stand shows final prices. Also supermarkets, chain restaurants, home stores etc. This 10+7 is a typical hiso attitude. Leaning to the American way of life. Domestic airlines much worse. Prices can easily double from advertised. AirAisia, Lion, Nok ... name them. Just a trick to get on top of the list, in-transparent prices. For Agoda absolute standard. When I see their prices I add 20% because it's easier to calculate mentally.

All I know are certificates of INCOME provided. And that is/was indeed sufficient for extension of stay.

Clearly against the written rules for extension of stay. Valid only for Non O-A visa issue from what I know. Other Non O have much lower requirements. And indeed no transfer needed. Completely different story for extension of stay. And for the visa application at your home country you need bank statements or the like to proof equivalent of 800k. Nothing to do with your consulate or the like. Source?

And statement same day is a reason for me to change to Kasikorn. This order statement and wait 5 days or so at Bangkok Bank is really annoying.

I had used Bangkok Bank for years with the long stay option. I plan to change to Kasikorn from November. So I did a test transfer with general expense (or how it is called in Englisch). Arrived in seconds and on the account statement (Thai language) it is clearly shown as foreign transaction. On the book it is only shown as TRN (transfer no book?). Hope that will not change and I will not miss the long stay option.

In that the NOK is not much different from other countries. Baht gained a lot against USD, EUR, GPB .... Have lost oversight on the misc threads about it (one from me ). NOK is a bit worse with about -5.5% since July, USD -4% (rough numbers).

That's how an entry in the statement for a foreign transfer at KBank looks like. Both marked in red say foreign/abroad transfer/money transaction.

Do you have internet banking with Kasikorn? Go there and order statements for download in Thai language and see what they show. Otherwise you have to go to the branch and order statements on the spot for 200 Baht. The problem might be - depending on your situation - that statements are issued no more than one year back. Don't know whether you can get back longer for cost and potential waiting time. For immigration I would take care to get statements from the branch with stamps and signature.

Just stumbled upon this revived thread. I recently had started one about WISE and Kasikorn. 1) Bangkok Bank: for many years I transfer from WISE to Bangkok Bank using funds for long term stay as a purpose. Always shown as FTT in the book and much better as international funds transfer in the account statements, 2) Kasikorn Bank: I recently did a test from WISE to Kasikorn using general living expense as purpose. It arrives in seconds. The book does NOT show a FTT or the like but just as TRN (transfer no book). Account statement in English language shows "Trade Finance Deposit". Not very obvious. BUT: statement in Thai language clearly labels it as a foreign transaction. Credit goes to @Upnotover See here;

Most currencies lost significantly to THB (Baht strength). Multiple threads disussing reasons. AUD (OZ) may not be the biggest looser but 2.67% in a month is significant. What was the last pension rise in percent? USD lost almost 4% in a month.
