And why? You never accompany loved ones to the hospital. Must be something very serious or special if the patient can not be treated in Khon Kaen. (or the family just wants him nearby, who knows) Ambulance driving on the right? Why not, if you know the surface quality on many left lanes. You want to bump from patch to patch, from pothole to pothole? If there are two lanes in one direction just undertake and go your way. What a moron.

Suspension of TM6 Arrival Form Extended to Boost Tourism
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
What a joke. Jubilation about one form abolished that was never taken too seriously. And the same time pushing forward for the ETA which already led to confusion and uncertainties.- 48 replies

Putin lies about a "special operation" instead of a war and does not declare a general mobilization. At the same time borders are open for leaving. Off to Phuket and enjoy the sun. Battle of Berlin 1945: Russia 2.5 million soldiers, 6250 tanks, 7000 planes. Just to give an idea about the proportions.

Lost Italian tourist rescued after night in Phuket jungle
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Hope this idiot gets a big fat bill for this nonsense. Not cancelling the alarm and simply walk back to the hotel?? Can he tie his own shoes? -
Have you tried a postal tracker of the destination country? Sometimes you might be surprised where your mail is stuck.

Pink I.D Card & Yellow Book
KhunBENQ replied to Bangkok Black's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Best advice. You have to check with the amphoe (district office). For me (married) it was quite easy. (among others: your name already translated to Thai script) No embassy/consulate involved. Just a local translation office for the passport and(?) birth certificate. (be sure the translator has the marriage documents so your name in Thai does not differ, there is no hard coded rules for that, quite "flexible") Fortunately they didn't want proof for the parents names etc. For the pink card be prepared for questions like religion, blood group,... An anecdote: at our upcountry office pink card could only be issued after 3 PM when all other clients were ready. They had to call some central office to switch their terminals? Whether it's useful also seems to depend on the local authorities. While here it is full sufficient for driving license stuff, address for immigration. Even my new car was registered on my "Thai name". Other offices seem stubborn and ignore it from what I read (Pattaya/Jomtien e.g.). -
Some of the prices leave me shocked. Seems they milk the cows to pay for the expensive 5G equipment. 10 Mbit/s, 30 days for 1100 !!! Baht. From the past I remember new SIM, one month 15 Mbit/s for 300 or so? Are they serious? Unlimited speed, 20 GB ,30 days, 699!!!

I have the one year package 999 incl tax for 150 GB. Unlimited speed. AIS WiFi where available. 300 min calls to all domestic networks. Very satisfied for mobile use/on the road. (at home have 3BB fiber) I had to let the daughter register the SIM card. Didn't work in English for me (passport nr).

Thai Street Vendor Attacked by 20 Youths After Firework Warning
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Isaan News
Spoiled brats and it's always the boys, the pride of the family. No education, no discipline, no limits. From their young years they can beat their caretaker grandmother if they don't get what they want. Crying like a pig in the slaughterhouse. I see that here on a regular basis. Later they fall for drugs. Parents leaving the house and living on the farmland to keep away from their speed fueled son. (two houses from here) -
Thai Baht weakens as government pushes for lower rates
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
There was a period end of September to first week of October where the Baht slightly dropped. But today is the 14th! You don't want to see the one year chart. -
Thai Baht weakens as government pushes for lower rates
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
If the central bank resists the pressure to lower interest why should the Baht weaken which he didn't during the last days. I find the whole article quite useless and out of time. -
German borders are open. Poland free transit. 100 bus connection daily FROM Berlin TO Kiev alone. Ukrainian license plates on SUVs and luxury cars all over Europe. Frequent traveler on motorway Germany to Poland and Ukraine both directions. Germany gives every Ukrainian the full welcome package. Can settle, can work and/or receive benefits with basic money for daily expenses and support for housing/heating. Better status than an asylum seeker. 722'000 Ukrainians receive welfare money. Background check about their financial status in Ukraine seems impracticable. It's obvious that a significant number of them just come to receive the money and drive back home. Done and repeat. I would accept that Ukraine gets financial/logistics support to house real war refugees from the east in their own country. But what happens now is over the edge.

Will be there during Loy Krathong on Nov 15. Mega event in terms of mass influx: Pattaya Fireworks Festival Nov 29/30. Will there be a US election/breakfast party on the morning of Nov 6 when the results come out? 😁 Just by chance I will be there like 8 years ago 2016 when a breakfast buffet felt like a Trump party. I am just an observer.

How to I get rid of this new left hand sidebar?
KhunBENQ replied to shdmn's topic in Forum Support Desk
My method: I began reading AN on the PC browser in reduced windows size (width) not full size. Just fiddle and the annoying sidebar p.sses off. You have to fiddle with window width and zoom factor in the browser. I have reduced the screenshot size for readability: -
It's a while since I went by plane and taxi but Tom Taxi always worked. Proper spacious limousines for 1000 both ways.

I just wanted to comment on that. Beat me all, but have you noticed the speed that the biker go on this small populated road? A bit slower and looking forward could have given them a chance. If not avoiding an accident totally but not being decapited. The third bike rider is the other fallen asleep? And being the winner on max speed? Stunning.

Banking service???????
KhunBENQ replied to Lacessit's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Anonymous cash deposits are no more allowed since quite a while. No card no fun. Or follow other advice given above. A person with a Thai ID card can deposit cash to your account. -
A SIM with a one month package does not cost a fortune. I suggest to start trial with AIS. I once had a DTAC one year SIM. On the road it had more outages than the AIS (GOMO) that I have now. To the OP: It sounds like the SIM is used stationery at home? In a SIM router or in the mobile phone? A SIM router with antenna and we'll placed can make a difference.

Big bike forced off road by car on Bangkok highway - video
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
Indeed. The risky forbidden manouver of the bike rider didn't cost him his life. So he should just stay quiet. A proper investigation would not be in his favor and he would have to carry his cost alone. The car driver did a careless lane jump to win some meters and will also take his own cost. But in this country you need a 360 degrees view to notice all the gamblers. -
Man Shot Dead in Confrontation with Local Youths in Udon Thani
KhunBENQ replied to Georgealbert's topic in Isaan News
Can't wait for the terrifying firecracker hooliganism on the 17th next week. Lawless as usual they start like two weeks ahead. Should I get me a gun, already have a stick 🙄 Not too surprised that it escalated this way. -
Checked once for EUR and USD and found no difference.
