I am thinking of those who have to dig in the mud for body parts. What does that make to your mental state? -
Unplesant surprise for online order (iHerb), VAT/duty precollect

Compared to what? To the exorbitant prices on the shelfs here? Cost a multitude of the iHerb prices. Multilevel marketing?? -
PPP scandal: Prawit defends reporter assault as a joke (video)
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And it will lead to nowhere. Every cop or prosecutor will bury the file in the cabinet and forget about it until statute of limitations is reached. Handling this file is worse than playing with glowing iron. Best case: out of court settling, he pays some pocket money, no public excuse. -
Unplesant surprise for online order (iHerb), VAT/duty precollect
KhunBENQ replied to KhunBENQ's topic in General Topics
Just did an order of 47 USD. I always switch to USD although my credit card is in EUR (no fee for foreign currency use). (Once my credit card was locked/cancelled. No reason given but I have a feeling that is was due to the reason I ordered in THB). -
Unplesant surprise for online order (iHerb), VAT/duty precollect
KhunBENQ replied to KhunBENQ's topic in General Topics
Obviously things will change. They write "upcoming" changes but are already following new rules. One order from iHerb in May was 78 USD. I had to pickup the parcel at the post office and had to pay some 360 Baht tax/duties. Other order from them in this year with lower value came by the postman to the gate without any cost. I guess the stupid 3 item rule comes from FlashExpress? -
Unplesant surprise for online order (iHerb), VAT/duty precollect

Upcoming! they write. No other shipping option available. -
Seems the rule for collecting VAT on imports less than 1500 Baht is in effect? Today I wanted to order some supplements/vitamins from iHerb as done in the past. Unpleasant surprises. They precollect VAT for orders less 1500 Baht. They precollect VAT and import duty for more than 1500. Max 3 items per order! Flash Express as only shipment option (Thai Post discontinued). Free shipment over 40 USD (which is just short of 1500 Baht). Most cost effective ordering becomes a math puzzle now.

Bus Accident on Bangkok-Pattaya Route Leaves 5 Injured
KhunBENQ replied to Georgealbert's topic in Pattaya News
YUTONG ZK6729?? (not readable), "24" passengers? A whole series of mini buses from a Chinese manufacturer. The NGV variant in the picture seems quite specific for Thailand. -

At least very likely a "24 seater minibus" like this (photo from bus rental company) if you compare the front lights, 4 yellow lights? on top, mirrors etc. -
Not nonsense but official rule. Keeping a log book for driving outside the province etc.pp. What happens in reality may be different as usual.

So in total I came out "normally". About 2 months to get my white plates and drove more than 1500 km without. See my post above from August 3 to round up. The good thing that I was driving with full insurance coverage all the time.

From a very recent video: breakfast buffet at Lek is closed and will not reopen. For the hotel as such: quite difficult to find out what is going on. Maybe a Pattaya resident can gather first hand information. My idea: it's open to package tours only (Indians?). Can not be booked online anywhere.

British Tourist Assaulted and Robbed on Bangla Road in Patong

Very likely when I read this: Where was his wife and why provide more money? Was the robber unhappy with the amount the victim had? -

On my last visit in Dec 21 (during COVID) I did the same and hardly a day without some scuffle, kicking etc. by some drunkards, last "remains sweeped out" of clubs. -

Motorcyclist Severely Injured in Crash with Pattaya Female Car Driver
KhunBENQ replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
No hint that he was in wrong direction. Near the Chaiyaphruek intersection sounds like he had to go right and slow down to (U) turn? Bloody dangerous on this race track. When in Pattaya I avoid it with the scooter as good as possible. -

https://www.britishairways.com ? Date after October? Searching from London (LON) or GTW not Heathrow (LHR)? It's not daily! And what comes is the new flight from Gatwick with BA. A flight on Saturday: (don't look at the prices, it's a query for oneway) -
I think we agree with the topic starter. If the leading doctors who make up the tables are members of the board in big pharma there might be a little high (dollar) pressure. Didn't I promise myself not to do internet forums after dinner to keep pulse and pressure under control So have a good night.

Thailand anticipates 9.39 billion baht from Mother's Day tourism

Exactly my thought. Again and again they spit out what some pocket calculator with xx digits shows. -
Thailand anticipates 9.39 billion baht from Mother's Day tourism
KhunBENQ replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
No, it's approximately(!) 672,743, 485,688 and 463,649 And I am disappointed about the un-precise number for the total income. 9.39 billion, shouldn't it read 9.392.367.472 Baht? (and 50 Satang). -
