Replacing a lost thai drivers license

Whats involved. What docs do I need? If I have photocopy of the old one and take passport / WP etc is that enough?

Need  a police report or at least you did 2 years ago.

Buy a sack of rice. There is a Thai driver's licence in every one !

Get a police report then take it to Transportation office in your area that does drivers licenses.  Pay a small fee they'll take a new picture...your done.

I waded through a couple of similar threads.

Some recent posts say that you don't need the police report anymore.

But don't hold me responsible.

Personaly i would get one justbin case or at least go and ask LTO if i needed one.

I lost my wallet in Khon Kaen and reported it to the local police. I wwnt to the license office with my passport, yellow house book which proves where i lived and the police report. Got a new one within 30 minutes no problems. 

I did it a few years ago. It was like I never had a driver's license before. I had to everything I'd done to get the original license, plus going to the police and reporting it lost  and showing the proof I'd reported it to the police. 

Amazing. It was actually more work to replace the license than to get the original license.
