The couple's daughter, aged 50, had responded to her mother's cries in the hall and said she saw her father, named only as "Neung" hitting her mother two or three times. She ran out and alerted police who were soon on the scene and found the father sitting in a chair and his wife covered in blood on the floor. She was taken to hospital. Phuwanai Mahakhot of Lat Yao police said that the old man was detained. He was unable to explain why he had attacked his wife. Many cases where the person with it suddenly does not recognize some one they knew the day before, or even a few hours before, and become scared and also violent as they worry about being attacked themselves.
