Loei Airport to Chiang Khan

Featured Replies

How much roughly is a (meter) taxi or songthaew from Loei airport to Chiang Khan?

Thanks

Getting to Chiang Khan

"From the Loei Bus Terminal take a occasionally running bus (30 min) or a songthaew (60-90 min, 35 baht) to Chiang Khan.

From Loei airport an Airasia shuttle will deliver passengers to their hotel for 250 baht. A taxi is 500 baht and cheaper transport can be waited for across the road from the airport."

From wikitravel  2015

Probably still current info re modes of transport - cost may have gone up (?)

The distance is about 60 km.

So 500 to 600 Baht (still) sounds plausible.

I forgot to book this when booking the air tickets, and you cannot book afterwards. Only for passengers who booked the transfer while booking the flight!!

Is there a pre paid taxi counter at the airport? Are there metered taxis waiting? Don't mind paying B500 to a decent driver.

Thank you both!
