Hey guys,

A friend of mine asked about to establish a new company (on paper) for reason to apply for visa under the company registration,

I am not sure about this process, procedure and fees etc,

However, if any one done this before, or have some suggestions about this, please share your comments,

A company registration will not allow him to get a visa.

It has to be functioning company with 4 Thai employees to apply for  work permit that is required to get a visa.

Although I think the Elite Visa has a cash-up-front sticker-price well beyond market-value in the region, it would likely be cheaper than the costs of a non-profit making company which would meet your friend's visa-needs. 

There is also the investment-option to obtain a visa, requiring 10M Baht in certain types of investments - money/investments he could keep, even if he decides to leave at some point down the road.

If your friend has US nationality, it may be possible, with the help of a good lawyer, to establish a sole proprietorship under the Treaty of Amity between the US and Thailand, and get a visa/work permit as the proprietor. It would not be easy. Outside that possibility, forget about trying to jump through the hoops needed to establish a Thai company and get a visa through it. It is complex and costly.

If your friend is eligible under the BOI rules he will get visas and work permits without the need for 4:1
