funandsuninbangkok Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 Just read on another board no alcohol sales in Hua Hin for 9 days late October. True?????
worgeordie Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 If true ,there will be a lot of people with the shakes in Hua Hin. regards worgeordie

Seligne2 Posted October 4, 2017 Posted October 4, 2017 An immediate question, if true, is: does this pertain solely to HH or is it regional or nationwide? It would not surprise me if this was implemented nationwide. If not, there will be heavy traffic to Cha-Am.
Jack Mountain Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Thai authorities can't plan that far ahead ... all still uncertain is my guess.

And what about the international tourists that arrive on day one of the ban with no chance of "buying in advance" who expect to have a drink on thier holiday?
dapperdan Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Tourists arriving on dry week will have their lives extended.
spiritr7 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Bangkok ban is only on 13th 24th 25th and 26th
wanderluster Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 what does it matter. everyone knows of some mom and pop shop that is going to cash in on the no alcohol sales anyway. this is thailand there is always someone going to sell you whatever you want whenever you want it.
Moti24 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I can't see it being a problem for expats, but tourists might be a bit pissed-off. As long as the tourists spend their money on something else, TAT will be happy.
Thaidream Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 If someone knows a bar owner- they might want to ask them what , if anything, they have been told. IMHO, the only day affected could be 13 and 26 October- I doubt that any area would be affected for 9 days
funandsuninbangkok Posted October 5, 2017 Author Posted October 5, 2017 Thanks for all the guessing and puritanical opinions but anyone actually know anything?

OMGImInPattaya Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 It should give allot of guys a chance to dry-out.
Eloquent pilgrim Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I live in Cha-am and we have not heard anything about it here. We are of course in Phetchaburi province and Hua Hin is in Prachuap Khiri Khan, so I think periods of prohibition will vary from province to province ……. I wish they'd done it here for Songkran week this year ?? ??
