Agent for Drivers License (in Bangkok)

Featured Replies

Where to find an agent for driver's license.

Easy to find in Chiang Mai.

Easy to find in Pattaya.

But I can't find in Bangkok.

Some here have done it all by themselves, but I prefer to go with an agent.

I sent email to a large, well-known, agent service in Bangkok.

After waiting a week, no reply.

So I'm posting here

Anyone with experience or recommendation of an agent in Bangkok, suitable for driver's license?

Thank you for taking your time to Google and to post here.

Do you have personal experience or other recommendation of that agent?

Or just Google search?

I posted here looking for recommendations.

(Yes, I should have made that more clear in my OP.)

I know you've asked for an agent, but it's not difficult to do yourself. A bit confusing, but all works out. Transport office off the MRT line Chauchak. ID work permit best or housebook. Without either, forget it.

.

Found!

I talked with one agent, but was not impressed with "attitude".

So, instead, I got a referral -- one Thai to another Thai and then to me -- to a man who is not a formal agent, but who is familiar with the process at Land Transport.

He took me there this afternoon.

Worked out fine.

So, I'll disconnect from this thread now.

What procedure did you have to go through at the LTD with the help from friend of a friend?

It may be useful to others in your situation to know what it was about the other agent that you didn't like and which one he was.  How did you find him?

I will be using Fatboy's in the next week or so and if anyone is interested I'll post how it was.

Some people have really too much money to waste.....

So you basicly pay someone for what?!

It's easy as hell to do it yourself nothing complicated!

Ignore that post, it's nonsense.  Why do some people post such garbage?

First of all there is more than one LTD office and I believe that you're supposed to use the one that covers the area in which you live.

Embassy letter or residence certification from Immigration works fine, "housebook" or work permit is not necessary.
