Thai Rath reported that thieves were surely responsible for an alarming situation at a "well known department store" in Pak Nam, Samut Prakarn yesterday afternoon.

Dozens of people were unable to lock their cars and pick-ups using their remotes.

The news media said that it looked for sure like car thieves were sending a signal to block the remotes from being able to be used.

It seemed to be affecting Toyotas more than most - all Toyotas in the area of the ground floor car park near KFC were affected.

Security personnel were inspecting the situation advising worried customers to lock their doors manually.

Some people were finding that they could lock their doors using the remote but could not use it to open them again.

Even a reporter on the scene was affected.

As is usually the case with stories of this nature, the name of the location is not mentioned in the Thai press.

This is only newsworthy in Thailand, as this has been known in the rest of the world long time. Is just plainly the best place to find expensive cars to take.

GET REAL yourself, it's "NEWS WORTHY to try and HELP people to BEWARE of thieves. Get a life GR.
