Police announced the arrest of two men in Bangkok faking vehicle registration documents and plates.

Arrested were 34 year old Chanon Phongpin and Suphat Ratnodom, 43, Daily News reported.

Police concerned with vehicular crime said yesterday at metropolitan HQ that the men were running a Facebook page advertising fake documents for registering cars and motorbikes that had been purchased illegally.

A sting had been set up that trapped the pair. Suphat was responsible for the finances and Chanon for taking orders and mailing the documents through the post.

There were plenty of takers - the bankbooks showed dealings between one and two million in value while the police put the total turnover of the gang in excess of 10 million baht.

Investigations continue to round up other members of the gang.
